Off-class Skills also could be Useful
2011-01-11
Though long time (may be not very long) FFXIV Power Leveling or leveling your own character. You’re probably familiar with the Action Points system and the Armoury by now, and maybe you know that you can equip skills from other classes. But you may not get good reason that why you need other uncorrelated classes’ skills (we can say off-class skills). It just makes sense that get your own class as many as tricks. So now I will give you some good reason that you use other classes’ skill to level up your own class. They are easily and quickly obtained tools that will help your own class.
Second Wind:
This is a very easily accessible level 6 Pugilist skill. It is a healing ability that requires no mana to use; instead it uses 250 TP. It has a cooldown naturally, but it is extremely useful nonetheless. You can pretty easily get Pugilist up to 6 in an hour or two, maximum, if you have a couple of available level 1 guildleves to do. This skill is such an easy staple for solo’ing and can save your hide on so many occasions, it’s worth at least having access to. For Disciples of Magic, who have no ability that uses TP until level 10, this ability makes good sense. Keep in mind, once you learn this skill as a 6 PUG, you can use it starting at level 1 for every other class.
Cure (Conjurer) or Sacrifice (Thaumaturge):
This one is kind of a no-brainer. Having access to the traditional Cure type spell makes solo’ing a lot easier, and is a great gap-filler while Second Wind is on cooldown. They’ll use up your MP in a hurry if you’re a Disciple of War, but MP not used is MP wasted, right? For old FFXI players don’t fall into the trap of mocking old WAR/WHM’s in the Dunes. Equipping Cure / Sacrifice doesn’t incur the same wrath that melee subbing WHM did in FFXI. Both spells are level 4 in their respective classes quickly and easily.
Shock Spikes:
Not as potent when equipped as other classes, but Shock Spikes still deals good feedback damage (damage to the enemy when it strikes you) and stuns the enemy with pretty decent frequency.
This spell is Conjurer rank 8. A little bit more effort to get, but can be worth it for avid solo players.
Rampart:
A Rank 4 Gladiator skill increases your physical and magical defense. I’ve seen this used less frequently, but it is a pretty sizable boost. If you run into a situation where you’ve got a lot of things pounding on you, this may just save you.
Shield Skills:
This one only really applies to spell caster classes, since they’re the only ones who can equip a shield aside from gladiators. It’s silly not to have and use a shield if you’re wielding a one-handed weapon, especially if you’re playing solo. The damage reduction is great, and you get access to very cool skills like Aegis Boon as you rank up your shield skill.
Look you can use other classes’ skills to level up your own class, is it amazing? Actually there are many ways to level your character to a high level. The key point is if you pay attention to it. So keep an eye on our web is good choice, right? :) FFXIV Gil for all servers is available for you and absolutely the lowest price.
