It was not a major surprise when Black Ops 7 announced its zombie mode. This mode has had a long-time fan following and is making its return in the latest entry. The round-based zombie modes are all about grinding and surviving the longest. Therefore, fans have been wondering what BO7 Zombie Maps are coming to the game.
Black Ops 7 Zombies Maps are bringing back the classic characters. Moreover, the latest edition of Zombies is also going to incorporate the Dark Aether storyline. Black Ops 7 is also reviving the classic Dark Ops Arcade 4 for this edition.
The Main Round-Based Map: Ashes of the Damned

The primary Black Ops 7 Zombies maps experience is centered on Ashes of the Damned. This map is massive in scale, comparable to the legendary Tranzit from Black Ops 2. Tranzit was known as one of the biggest BO7 Zombies maps of all time.
Players should know that the map Terminus is still the bigger map. However, players will definitely enjoy the Ashes of the Damned as well. Some players might miss the unique bus system that offered players an exciting way to move around the large map.
TEDD and the Wonder Vehicle
Fans will be gleeful to hear that Tranzit's sassy, deteriorating robot bus driver, TEDD, makes a return. TEDD is no longer driving a bus. Instead, he guides the player as they pilot Ol' Tessie. This rusty old pickup truck serves as the only form of transportation around the huge map. (Credits: Call of Duty)
TEDD Tasks and Rewards
Similar to the SAM Tasks, Ashes of the Damned features Black Ops 7 TEDD Task consoles. These consoles are scattered across the map. Interacting with them triggers various random challenges. Completing these challenges rewards players with valuable loot. So we would definitely recommend players to complete these Black Ops 7 TEDD tasks and get the most out of this mode.

New Special Monsters
Players will not just be dealing with regular zombies. As the rounds increase, Elite monsters and other dastardly foes appear with increased frequency.
- Ravagers: These are the equivalent of the Vermin from BO6. So players can expect these creatures to be small and quite fast. They will be a lot closer to the ground, making it difficult for players to get their headshots. Players should aim their weapons towards the ground quickly when they appear.
- Zursa: This is the new Elite Monster. Zursa is a blighted bear that is incredibly strong and fast. It can also deal damage from a distance due to its parasitic infection. The infection spawns 'Zombees,' which fly around in swarms, dealing damage to anyone in their area of effect.
Saw Blade Traps (Baby Rave)
A new, powerful trap is the Saw Blade Trap, unofficially nicknamed the 'baby rave'. Like the iconic Monkey Bomb, this trap draws all nearby zombies in with its music—in this case, a banging house track.
These traps cost Essence, similar to other zombie traps. They insta-kill zombies en masse with a spinning blade. This powerful trap grants a few seconds of relief. Players should save this trap for troublesome Ravager rounds due to its cooldown.
Season One Standard Map: Astra Malorum

A second, large, standard mode map is arriving with Season 1: Astra Malorum. Treyarch design director Kevin Drew hailed it as "one of the coolest maps" the team has ever made.
Astra Malorum is set in an incredible, steampunk-style observatory. The map's name translates directly to "the stars of evil". There is a heavy correlation to space travel in Black Ops 7 Zombies, which can also be seen in a POI on Ashes of the Damned called the Cosmodrome. It is likely that constellations will be featured in a quest puzzle.
BO7 Zombies Survival Maps
Survival maps are condensed versions of the main round-based maps. They are designed purely for survival and do not feature the main quest line. Packed into a tight space, these maps still provide access to all the usual items and mechanics, including the Der Wunderfizz machine, Mystery Box, Arsenal, and a trap.
Vandorn Farm (Launch Map)

Vandorn Farm is the only Zombies survival map launching with Black Ops 7. Its small size creates an intense challenge, especially in later rounds, as there is little space to train.
The map features two farm buildings and a smaller shed, all requiring door unlocks. Key locations include:
- Der Wunderfizz machine: Located upstairs in the residential house.
- Arsenal: Located in the basement of the residential house.
- Mystery Box: Found in the smaller shed.
- PaP machine: You will be able to find this machine located in the main farm building. Once in the building, you simply need to head upstairs.
The power must be turned on via a brief mini-quest at the start of the match.
Exit 115 (Season One)
Exit 115 is the next confirmed survival BO7 Zombies Map. Players will be able to try this map with the launch of Season 1. This map apparently centers on a classic, neon-lit diner. As an Ashes of the Damned POI, players will become more familiar with the location once the main map is released.
Zarya Cosmodrome (Season One, Midseason)
The final confirmed survival map is Zarya Cosmodrome, arriving at the Season 1 Reloaded midseason update. This location is based on a spaceship preparing for launch. It is a POI found later in Ashes of the Damned. Future survival maps could include other Ashes of the Damned POIs like The Fog, Ashwood, and Blackwater Lake.
Try Dead Ops Arcade Mode
Players will be glad to know that the Dead Ops Arcade 4 is making a return in Black Ops 7. This map will feature around 20 levels for players. You can the choice to play in the classic top-down view. However, if you only want to play in the first-person mode, then the game also gives players that choice. Similar to other BO7 Zombies, players need to fight off hordes across various locations. So it is safe to say that this year of Black Ops 7 Zombies Maps are quite comprehensive. They allow players to try out their favorite mode in classic and some new maps.
