Today, we're going to be discussing some interesting information about Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 2. The recent patch changed many things and made a big overhaul to others. Keep reading to stay on top of all the changes made to the game in the last few days.
Safeguard Mode Returns to Call of Duty after 11 long years

Season 2 is going to be the returning season for an old classic. We are talking about the Safeguard Mode. Most of you will probably remember Safeguard from Black Ops 3, where you had to escort a robot from one side of the map to the other, using it well with unlimited lives, and it was against the clock. Now, all of you will be able to experience this intense mode again.
You had to get from A to B as fast as possible, and the person of the team with the shortest amount of time would win the match. If our memory serves correctly, there were two halves to this. That's going to be really interesting.

Now, in Black Ops 3, it was like a full-size, human-like bot. And in Black Ops 7, it's going to be the dog kill streak that we're going to be escorting from A to B.
Let us know what your opinions are on that in the comments box down below. Now we will be talking about the most recent update changes.
The new updates change so many things that it looks like a major overhaul

We're going to be talking about a brand new update that significantly changes the grind inside of Black Ops 7 and just made things infinitely better. The first thing we want to mention, which we know some of you have been confused about, is the way that world events now work.
For whatever reason, with the launch of Season 2, they vaulted all the world events since we had guild strikes they wanted to prop up, which, of course, are a cool way to get ready for the mid-season update, which is going to be when we do have to kill the guild strike bosses to enter Glitches or Unstable Rifts.
For now, though, if you do take out a guild boss, you get:
- 1 exotic weapon
- 4 free operator skins.
But a couple of days after the start of our second season, they cycled world events back in, specifically the Colossus or Origins bot, the Xerx, Toxic Tyrant, and even the Wraith Wing. What's sad about that, though, is that whenever Wraith Wing does pop up, nobody goes for it. It is a dead world event that we can assume is going to get vaulted permanently in the coming weeks.
Obviously, Deathclaw is no longer available because that was a part of the Fallout crossover. Maybe they'll reskin it with Manglers or Mimics or another enemy type at some point because that was an easy way to just farm world events, farm exotic skills. And of course, just a way to beat world events if that's what you wanted to do.
Right now, there's a chance that when you spawn into a game after about 5 to 10 minutes, you'll see either the following: Colossus, Toxic Tyrant, Wraith-Wing, or a Guild Strike spawn in.
The problem with that is that the Guild Strikes don't provide you with Exotic Skills. And we think they should. Right now, it's a bit of an issue that if you want to farm exotic skills, you just have to wait to see what event's going to pop up. And if it's Wraith Wing or a Guild Strike, you have to go somewhere else. You can only really get an exotic skill now from the Colossus or the Toxic Tyrant.
Thus, those are the only events people are actually going to. And those are the only events where you could get Exotic Skills after destroying the boss itself. Therefore, what we're betting is that by the time Reloaded comes around, it'll just be the Guild Strikes live in match, and then they'll vault the world events for a couple of weeks.
What’s the fuss about the recent endgame challenges?

We also saw a little bit of a fuss about some of the recent Endgame Challenges as part of the escalation directive event.
A lot of the challenges are pretty self-explanatory and kill-based. Wasn't much to show for most of those, but one thing that was pointed out first off is that there's a challenge that requires you to use equipment or abilities to get 25 pistol kills.
In the menu, you can easily just swap to a different ability before you spawn in. And there aren't too many major or minor abilities we'd prefer to bring in for this challenge, honestly. Well, Vision Pulse does work. If you have a decked-out weapon and you're a high combat rating, you can just pop Vision Pulse and just mow through, and that challenge is done.
But some folks wanted to use the equipment for that. And of course, equipment is purely RNG-based on what you loot in the environment. We would just keep farming the shipping containers, and there's obviously a chance at most of them; equipment could actually be your reward after fighting whatever enemy was inside.
In that case, if you get concussions or pinpoints, you can just use those, throw them down, and get your pistol kills done.
The launcher challenge

The launcher challenge, however, does require you to get a kill or veto destructions or guild equipment destructions. It's a very weirdly worded challenge that a lot of folks out there didn't realize was easier than it actually is, worded because all you have to do is just get your best abilities on and mow them down with your launcher. Boom. That's it!
You don't have to worry about warships. You don't have to worry about any guild equipment. Getting a good 50 kills with the launcher will take you no time. Especially going over to the casino farm, where you're going to get a bunch of enemies constantly respawning.
Also, don't forget that if you're having trouble upgrading weapons rarity, you want to go to a command center, which are in every zone here on Avalon, but preferably go to the one in tier four. For this, you'll get an instant legendary upgrade to your weapon.
It's a little finicky, though, where they just still haven't addressed the fact that if you go to A Command Center and another team has already breached it and used the Jailbreak Station, you won't be able to use that machine for the rest of the match.
You'd have to go to a different Command Center in a different zone, or just get into a fresh game and try to beat the other teams so you can get there and upgrade.
How has the grind changed in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 update?

Now, with that out of the way, it's time for the meat and potatoes of this article. Ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about power nodes.
They have significantly changed the way that you grind inside of this mode, which in turn allows you to simultaneously grind player and even weapon XP: Right all around the map, in set locations that are the same in every game, you can find power nodes.
Let's say you are a zero combat rating for a fresh operator, and you died out, or you just want to start with a new character to get different Skill Tracks. You just have to follow these steps:
- Spawn into a game,
- Go straight to Tier 4,
- Avoid all the enemies, and fly over the spawn points where power nodes will be.

These power nodes specifically are worth 600 power each. And for the first like 20 level-ups for your combat rating, you can essentially get one combat rating per cube that you grab. These Tesseract energy-looking cubes are pretty easy to spot from a little far away. But the cool thing is, as we said, they are in the same spawns in every match.
FAQ
1. Is it possible to go solo with the new level-up tactic in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's most recent update?
Yes, with this new strategy now, you can be completely solo, just going for as many power nodes as you can. Again, they're all around the map, but you want to focus on the ones that are in tier four because they're worth the most power, but it doesn't hurt if you see one in like tier two or tier three. Still grab them.
2. Can you indeed insta-kill some of the heavier bosses in this new update?
Of course! Combining Eagle Eye with Bulldozer and Shattered Shield allows you to reach the critical damage required for that. You can insta-kill some of the heavier bosses, especially in Tier 4. You could do quite a bit of damage, and it's the only other way to get an additional damage boost outside of hitting level 45 with your combat rating, which gives you the 8x boost on all of your weapons already.
