Claim the 900 Oroberyl compensation first, but do not treat it as permission to spend. At the documented cost of 500 Oroberyl per headhunting attempt, the mail covers one pull and leaves 400 toward another. The useful decision is therefore not “What can 900 buy?” It is “After every received resource is counted, how many attempts remain before my personal stop point?” Pull only when that number is clear; wait when it is not.
The 900 Oroberyl Is a Claim Gate, Not a Pull Target
The official Homecoming update notice lists 900 Oroberyl as update and maintenance compensation. It also sets three boundaries that change the budget:
- The character had to be created before the update.
- Distribution runs from the end of maintenance until the next version maintenance.
- The reward arrives by in-game mail and expires when the next version maintenance starts.
That creates four different account states. Only one belongs in a spendable balance.
| Mail state | Count 900 in the budget? | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Character created after the update | No | Build the plan without the compensation |
| Eligible, but mail not visible | No | Wait and recheck after maintenance or mailbox access |
| Mail visible, not claimed | Not yet | Claim it before doing pull math |
| Claimed and balance increased | Yes | Add exactly 900 to the received-resource ledger |
Do not count a screenshot, announcement, or expected event reward as account balance. A reward becomes usable only when it is present on the correct account and available before the target banner closes.
The published Homecoming version overview covers Arcane, Liino, events, and celebration rewards. Use it to identify claim opportunities, but enter only resources already received.
Name One Homecoming Target Before You Count the Gap
The July 14 overview above lists Arcane in the first phase and Liino in the second. Confirm the active phase and closing time in-game before spending. That makes “pull in Homecoming” too vague for a budget. Choose one of these target sentences before spending:
- “I am targeting Arcane and will stop at my pre-set attempt limit.”
- “I am waiting for Liino, so Arcane pulls are outside this budget.”
- “I only want to use expiring banner-specific permits, then stop.”
- “I have no single target, so I will hold Oroberyl.”
The public Endfield headhunting reference records 500 Oroberyl per attempt and, for Chartered Headhunting, a one-time featured-operator guarantee at 120 qualifying attempts. Do not apply that counter to Basic Headhunting or assume every free or reward attempt contributes. Use only the qualifying number shown by the live Chartered banner Details screen.
Do not combine Arcane and Liino into one budget. Spending toward the first target reduces what remains for the second.
Build a Received-Only Pull Ledger
Write the budget in attempts, not store packages.
First define how many future attempts the account is allowed to make. If the target is the Chartered featured guarantee, calculate that cap separately:
120
- qualifying attempts shown by the live Chartered banner
= qualifying attempts still needed
Do not replace the live qualifying counter with total pull history or memory. If the Details screen does not make the counter clear, wait rather than subtracting unverified attempts.
Then calculate the currency shortfall without rounding away the Oroberyl remainder:
chosen future-pull cap
- permits accepted by the chosen banner and counted toward the chosen cap
= Oroberyl-funded attempts required
max(0, Oroberyl-funded attempts required x 500 - current Oroberyl)
= exact Oroberyl shortfall
Count the claimed 900 inside current Oroberyl; do not subtract it twice. If the account has 4,900 Oroberyl and needs ten Oroberyl-funded attempts, the shortfall is 100—not “one full pull.” Keep permit types separate until the live banner confirms which ones it accepts.
A permit that the banner accepts does not automatically reduce the 120 qualifying-attempt gap. Subtract it from a guarantee-based cap only when the live Details screen says that attempt contributes to the guarantee counter.
| Ledger field | Strong evidence | Weak evidence | Action if missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Oroberyl | Live balance after claiming mail | Reward announcement | Wait |
| Qualifying guarantee counter | Live Chartered banner Details or counter | Total pull history or memory | Wait; subtract nothing |
| Usable permits | Inventory plus current banner acceptance | “HH Permit” without type | Keep separate |
| Chosen stop point | A number set before the next pull | “Until I get lucky” | Stop |
| Target | Arcane, Liino, or permits-only | “Any Homecoming unit” | Hold |
A claimed 900 adds one attempt, not a solved banner budget. Its value depends on the verified reserve already on the account.

Claim the mail, count only received resources, measure one target gap, then choose the wait or spend branch.
Use the Gap to Choose Pull, Wait, or Top Up
The remaining gap should change the action immediately.
| Result after the ledger | Decision |
|---|---|
| No target or no stop point | Wait. Do not convert uncertainty into spending. |
| Reward mail or banner count still unverified | Wait. Finish the evidence check first. |
| Owned resources reach the stop point | Pull within the limit. No top-up is needed. |
| Small gap, but more claimable rewards arrive before the target closes | Hold. Recalculate after those rewards are actually received. |
| Confirmed Oroberyl shortfall inside the pre-set cash limit | Consider topping up only that shortfall. Verify checkout fields first. |
| Gap exceeds the limit or requires chasing beyond the stop point | Skip or switch target. Do not move the limit after a miss. |
If a confirmed shortfall remains, the Arknights: Endfield top-up page is the exact game route for reviewing current Origeometry options. It is not proof that a particular package fits your gap. If every available option would push spending beyond the cash cap set before pulling, wait or skip; do not raise the cap to fit a package. The page currently describes a login top-up flow for Mobile and PC on the International Server and asks for the login method, game account, password, User ID, login server, a bundle screenshot, and a verification code during the order flow.
Those fields create a second gate. Stop if the account, server, login method, selected bundle, or order terms do not match. Review the credential and verification-code requirements before checkout, restore any account protections affected by the process, and do not rely on product-page delivery or safety claims as a substitute for your own risk decision.
Keep Three Budgets Separate
Separate the Operator, weapon, and optional-shop budgets.
- Operator budget: Oroberyl and permits accepted by the chosen character banner.
- Weapon budget: Arsenal Tickets and the live Arsenal rules; do not silently convert this into more character spending.
- Optional shop budget: cosmetics, stamina, or other uses of paid currency, kept outside the pull gap.
If Arcane arrives before the stop point, close that budget. Reassign leftover currency only after setting a new target, stop point, and gap.
Homecoming Pull Budget FAQs
Who qualifies for the 900 Oroberyl Homecoming maintenance compensation?
The official update notice says the character must have been created before the Homecoming update. The mail must also be claimed before the next version maintenance begins.
How many Endfield pulls does 900 Oroberyl cover?
At 500 Oroberyl per headhunting attempt, 900 covers one pull and leaves 400 Oroberyl toward another.
Should the 900 Oroberyl compensation make me pull for Arcane?
Not by itself. Claim it, count the rest of your received resources and current banner progress, then pull only if Arcane is the chosen target and the stop point is funded.
When should I wait instead of topping up for Homecoming?
Wait when rewards are still unclaimed, the target is undecided, the banner count is unverified, or the remaining gap is larger than the spending limit set before pulling.
