FC 26 Bundesliga TOTS: Best Players & Value Picks Guide

Every year I tell myself I’m not going to get sucked into TOTS hype. Every year, I’m wrong. The Bundesliga Team of the Season just dropped in FC 26, and this one actually got me. Not because of the marketing or the flashy reveal trailer but because when you sit down and go through each card individually, the quality is genuinely hard to argue with.

This isn’t a TOTS where you look at the squad and think “okay, three or four of these are usable.” Almost every card in this release has a real case for regular game time, so if you’re planning your squad upgrades around this promo, it’s worth knowing exactly which ones actually deliver. So let’s talk about it—who’s worth chasing, who’s overpriced for what they offer, and where the hidden value actually lives in this squad.

FC 26 Bundesliga TOTS: Full Squad Breakdown

EA FC 26 Bundesliga TOTS Best Goalkeepers

fc 26 bundesliga tots
  • Kobel — 95 GK | Borussia Dortmund

Right, let’s start with the obvious one. Kobel’s 95 GK card is comfortably the best goalkeeper in this TOTS, and depending on how his price settles, possibly one of the better value GK cards in the entire game cycle. The DIV stat is elite, his KIC and REF numbers are both strong, and maybe most importantly he just feels responsive in goal. There’s a difference between a goalkeeper with good stats and one that actually performs, and Kobel is the guy for the job.

  • Baumann — 91 GK | TSG Hoffenheim

Baumann is fine. That’s about the most honest way I can put it. He’s not going to win you games, but he’s not going to cost you them either. Budget Bundesliga build? He works. Trying to compete in Elite Division? You’ll probably want Kobel.

Best Goalkeeper Pick:

  • Kobel — Elite reflexes and consistency, top-tier choice for competitive play

Budget Option:

  • Baumann — Reliable enough for Bundesliga squads without a high cost

Best Defenders in Bundesliga TOTS

fc 26 bundesliga tots

I genuinely think the defensive section of this TOTS is the strongest part of the entire release. That’s not a take I expected to be writing.

  • Schlotterbeck — 96 CB | Borussia Dortmund

Schlotterbeck’s card is the kind of thing that makes you do a double-take when you first see it. The DEF stat sitting at 96, PHY at 94, this is a centre-back built to physically dominate every duel while still being able to recover if caught out of position.

He’s the kind of defender worth locking into your squad without second-guessing yourself. The Dortmund link also opens up some interesting hybrid options if you’re not going full Bundesliga. One of the must-haves from this release, full stop.

  • Tah — 95 CB | Bayern Munich

Jonathan Tah at 95 with pace in the 90s is just unfair. He was always a solid defender in real life, technically sound and usually dominant in the air, but this card takes that and dials everything up. If you’re pairing him with Schlotterbeck, good luck to your opponents.

  • Vušković — 94 CB | Hamburger SV

This is the one that surprised me most when the squad dropped. A 94-rated CB from HSV? Nobody had that on their bingo card. But the stats are genuinely excellent 91 PAC, 94 DEF, and because he’s not from Bayern or Dortmund, his price on the transfer market is going to be far more reasonable than the headline names. If you’re smart with your coins, Vušković might be the single best value pick in this entire TOTS.

  • Upamecano — 93 CB | Bayern Munich

Look, Upamecano divides opinion. Always has. His base card has frustrated players for years with inconsistent AI behaviour and some defensive decisions that make you want to throw your controller. But this 93 TOTS version? It solves most of those issues. The defensive stats are properly elite at this rating, and if you’ve got Bayern chemistry to fill, he’s a legitimate option in this squad.

  • Stiller — 94 CDM | VfB Stuttgart

Stiller is listed as a CDM but plays almost like a cross-breed defender-midfielder in terms of how he impacts the game. Balanced stats across both ends, great positional awareness, and a rating that puts him right up there with the premium midfield options in this release. Stuttgart card. That still feels weird to type.

  • Ryerson — 93 RB | Borussia Dortmund

Pace, physicality, solid defensive awareness. Ryerson is exactly what you want from a modern right-back in FC 26. He’s not flashy, he doesn’t have some novelty five-star skills rating or anything like that but he just does his job properly, every time. 91 PAC and 94 PHY is a combination that works in the current meta.

  • Raum — 92 LB | RB Leipzig

Left-back options in the Bundesliga are limited historically, so Raum’s 92 TOTS card is pretty welcome. The attacking threat he brings with 91 PAC actually makes him dangerous on overlapping runs, and his link options through Leipzig and the German national team are useful for hybrid builds.

  • Coufal — 91 RB | Hamburger SV

Coufal is a sneaky alternative that does the defensive job without costing you a fortune.

Best Defender Picks:

  • Schlotterbeck — Dominant physical presence with top defensive stats
  • Tah — Strong, fast, and reliable in high-level matches

Best Value Picks:

  • Vušković — Excellent stats at a much lower market price
  • Upamecano — Improved version with fewer AI issues, solid choice if priced well

Top Midfield Picks in Bundesliga TOTS

fc 26 bundesliga tots
  • Kimmich — 96 CDM | Bayern Munich

What is there to say about Kimmich that hasn’t already been said? He gets a strong TOTS card basically every year, and every year the question is whether it’s actually worth it. The answer, as usual, is yes. The passing range alone makes him one of the best midfield controllers in the game. He’s expensive. He earns it.

  • Díaz — 95 LM | Bayern Munich

Don’t be put off by the LM position listing. Díaz is a winger in every meaningful sense, He’ll cause problems in behind, in transition, and on the ball. Left winger market is crowded in FC 26, but Díaz sits near the top of it.

  • Pavlović — 93 CDM | Bayern Munich

Pavlović is quietly one of the best midfielders in this entire TOTS and I don’t think enough people are talking about it. 95 PAS as a CDM. That’s not a typo. He’s technically exceptional in real life, neat on the ball, composed under pressure and this card captures that with a stat spread that lets him function in a double pivot or push higher as a box-to-box option.

  • Baumgartner — 93 CAM | RB Leipzig

CAMs live and die by their pace and passing combination, and Baumgartner has both. He can play multiple positions, he links with Leipzig chemistry, and he’s genuinely fun to use.

  • Aleix García — 93 CM | Bayer Leverkusen

If you don’t know Aleix García, let this card introduce you. He’s been one of the most technically gifted midfielders in the Bundesliga this season and a proper playmaker who sees passes others don’t. Don’t sleep on this one because the name isn’t as recognisable.

  • Grimaldo — 92 LM | Bayer Leverkusen

Grimaldo is a winger in LM’s clothing, and a pretty effective one. 90 PAC with strong dribbling, he’s not going to be anyone’s headline signing but he’s a capable wide option at a price point that won’t hurt as much as the Díaz-tier cards.

  • Burger — 90 CDM | Hamburger SV

Honest review: Burger is here for Bundesliga chemistry and budget builds. He’s functional, he’s affordable, and he links where you need him to. Nothing more, nothing less.

Best Midfield Picks:

  • Kimmich — Elite passing and control, one of the best CDMs in the game
  • Díaz — Top-tier winger with strong attacking output

Most Valuable Picks:

  • Pavlović — Outstanding passing stats for a CDM, very versatile
  • Aleix García — Underrated playmaker with excellent technical ability
  • Baumgartner — Flexible CAM option with strong pace and creativity

Best Attackers to Use in Bundesliga TOTS

fc 26 bundesliga tots
  • Kane — 97 ST | Bayern Munich

Kane’s season at Bayern has been nothing short of ridiculous. Club records broken, consistently decisive in big moments, and he’s not a target man. He’s a complete striker who can link play, hold up the ball, drive forward, and finish from literally anywhere on the pitch. Worth every coin.

  • Olise — 96 RW | Bayern Munich

Olise might actually be my favourite card in this TOTS. He glides past players, he creates chances, and he scores goals that make you save the highlight.

  • Undav — 92 ST | VfB Stuttgart

Undav is the answer. 92 overall, 90 PAC, strong shooting numbers, and a price point that won’t require you to liquidate your entire squad. He’s quick enough to threaten in behind and composed enough to finish when the chance comes.

  • Diomande — 92 LM | Borussia Dortmund

Diomande rounds out the squad with pace and direct play on the left. His physical presence makes him awkward to deal with on the wing, and his PAC stats ensure he’s a threat in transition. Solid budget option for wide positions.

Top Attacking Picks:

  • Kane — Complete striker, elite finishing and link-up play
  • Olise — Creative and explosive, one of the most fun cards to use

Best Value Picks:

  • Undav — Affordable striker with strong pace and finishing
  • Diomande — Solid wide option with pace and physicality

So Are the FC 26 Bundesliga TOTS Cards Worth It?

Honestly? More than usual.

Quick Summary:

  • Top Tier: Kane, Kimmich, Schlotterbeck, Kobel
  • Best Value: Vušković, Pavlović, Aleix García, Undav
  • Budget Options: Baumann, Burger, Diomande

The top tier players like Kane, Olise, Schlotterbeck, Kimmich, Kobel are safe picks in this squad. They’ll stay relevant for the rest of the game cycle and perform the way their ratings suggest they should.

But what makes this TOTS genuinely special is the depth. Vušković, Baumgartner, Aleix García—these cards offer premium performance without premium price tags. You don’t need to overthink your squad budget to build a competitive team.

Build smart. Target the value tier. And if you happen to pack Kane, maybe don’t sell him immediately.
