Linnea is the next Nod-Krai character in Genshin Impact from the region of Nod-Krai, and while her kit looks promising, you can only get her to her maximum potential with the best Genshin Impact Linnea build.

Hoyoverse has just released Linnea's drip marketing, which revealed her as a 5-star Geo character. Kit-wise, Linnea is a Geo bow character: an off-field Geo sub-DPS, Lunar-Crystallize buffer and healer. She has a packed kit for a support, and when she comes out, she's expected to make Zibai's damage skyrocket, and outdamage all other Nod-Krai DPS. How to use Linnea in Genshin Impact

Linnea is a 5-star defense-scaling Geo sub-DPS, buffer and support in Genshin Impact. Her kit essentially allows her to slot herself in Geo and Lunar-Crystallize team compositions.

Linnea's kit is pretty straightforward. During her elemental skill, Linnea lets out Lumi. Lumi will deal Geo and Lunar-crystallize damage, even when Linnea is not on the field. Tapping her elemental skill allows her to deal Geo damage continuously, with the final hit dealing Lunar-Crystallize. Meanwhile, tapping jt repeatedly will feed Lumi, and allow it to deal huge Lunar-Crystallize damage. As long as Lumi's around, the defense of the enemies against Geo damage will be reduced by 15%. If she's with another Nod-Krai unit like Zibai, it will be 30% instead. She can also provide EM buff based on her defense.

On the flip side, Linnea's elemental burst unleashes healing over time, and will reset Lumi's active duration.

The skills that you should focus on for Linnea is her elemental skill and elemental burst. Linnea is a secondary DPS, and upgrading her skill increases damage output done by Lumi across all modes. You can also level up her elemental burst for extra healing.

Linnea's normal attacks can be ignored. The only time Linnea will be on the field is when she casts her elemental skill, and her elemental burst. This applies to her intended playstyle, which is a sub-DPS support. If you're simply into her, wants to use her as on-field DPS who uses her normal attack, feel free to upgrade this.

Best Weapons for Genshin Impact Linnea build

Linnea's best weapons are Golden Frostbound Oath, Aqua Simulacra, Snare Hook and Favonius Warbow. Linnea being a sub-DPS means you'll need to get Defense, Crit rate, Crit damage and some EM for her.

Golden Frostbound Oath (5-star)

• Base ATK: 543
• Crit DMG: 88.2%

Increases DEF by 16%. When Elemental Skill or Lunar-Crystallize attacks hit enemies, gain Frost Fae's Favor for 6s. While Frost Fae's Favor is active: Geo DMG increases by 40%. Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG increases by 40%. If Moondrift(s) are near the character, nearby party members gain Frost Fae's Mischief: Geo DMG increases by 20%. Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG increases by 20%. This effect can trigger even when the wielder is off-field.

Golden Frostbound Oath is Linnea's signature weapon and this instantly turns it into her best-in-slot. It may have a low base ATK but it doesn't matter as she requires Def and it has a whopping 88% crit damage. Additionally, she gets to buff her own geo and direct lunar-crystallize damage even when she's off-field.

Aqua Simulacra (5-star)

• Base ATK: 542
• Crit DMG: 88.2%

HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby: DMG dealt by the wielder increases by 20%. This effect works both on-field and off-field.

Like Linnea's signature weapon, Aqua Simulacra is a weapon that has 88% Crit Damage and functions off-field. As for the passive effect, it boosts damage by 20% but requires Linnea to be near the enemies to avoid losing the effect.

Polar Star (5-star)

• CRIT Rate: 7.2% - 33.1%

Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG increased by 12%. After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, gain 1 stack of Ashen Nightstar for 12s. When 1/2/3/4 stacks of Ashen Nightstar are present: ATK increases by 10/20/30/48%. Stacks gained from Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst are counted independently.

Since Lunar-Crystallize crits, you will also need a crit rate weapon like the Polar Star. This weapon will give you 33% crit rate and 12% elemental skill damge bonus. Note that you don't really have to activate the Ashen Nightstar passive as Linnea doesn't need the ATK increase anyway.

Hunter's Path (5-star)

• Base ATK: 542
• CRIT Rate: 44.1%

Gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. After hitting an opponent with a Charged Attack, obtain the Tireless Hunt effect. While Tireless Hunt is active: Charged Attack DMG increases by 160% of Elemental Mastery. Tireless Hunt ends after 12 Charged Attacks or 10s. Only 1 instance of Tireless Hunt can be triggered every 12s.

Another crit rate option is the Hunter's Path. This weapon gives a much higher crit rate and provides 12% elemental damage bonus. You can ignore the Tireless Hunt effect, unless you want to use Linnea as a charged attack DPS like Lyney.

Skyward Harp (5-star)

• Base ATK: 674
• CRIT Rate: 22.1%

Skyward Harp

Increases CRIT DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to trigger a small AoE attack: Deals 125% Physical ATK DMG. This effect can occur once every 4s.

Skyward Harp is a 5-star free-to-play option. It gives players 22% crit rate and 20-40% crit damage.

Snare Hook (4-star)

• Base ATK: 454
• Energy Recharge: 61.3%

Upon causing an Elemental Reaction, increases Elemental Mastery by 60 for 12s. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Elemental Mastery from this effect is further increased by 60. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is off-field.

Another free-to-play option is Snare Hook. Energy Recharge

Favonius Warbow (4-star)

• Base ATK: 454
• Energy Recharge: 61.3%

CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles. Regenerates 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.

If you want to meet her ER requirement, or if you want to be able to hit your burst every rotation for healing, you can also use the Favonius Warbow.

This will also create energy particles for your teammates. However, take note that you should have a good crit rates stats here to trigger the effect.

Slingshot (3-star)

• Base ATK: 354
• Crit Rate: 31.2%

Slingshot

If a Normal or Charged Attack hits a target within 0.3s of being fired, increases DMG by 36%. Otherwise, decreases DMG by 10%.

Slingshot may be a 3-star weapon is the best free-to-play option for Linnea by a long mile. The advantage that Slingshot has over Favonius Warbow and Snare Hook is that it gives Linnea some crit rate, one that she can actually use to improve her Lunar-crystallize damage. After all, she doesn't need a weapon with high base ATK as she scales off defense. As for energy recharge, you will only need it if you want to cast your elemental burst for every rotation.

Slingshot is indeed an excellent and extremely cheap weapon. Also, who doesn't have Slingshot?

Genshin Impact Linnea best artifacts set

Linnea's best artifact sets are Aubade of Morningstar and Moon, Silken Moon's Serenade, and Husk of Opulent Dreams.

4-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon

2-pc set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4-pc set: When the equipping character is off-field, Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 20%. When the party's Moonsign Level is at least Ascendant Gleam, Lunar Reaction DMG is further increased by 40%. This effect disappears after the equipping character is active for 3s.

Aubade of Morningstar and Moon is one of Linnea's best artifacts set. It gives elemental mastery which helps her personal damage. Additionally, she gets a boost in her 20% Lunar reaction damage when she's off-field which eventually doubles if she's with Moon wheel characters. Note that this artifact is only available for off-field Linnea as the effect gets removed after staying on field for 3 seconds.

4-piece Silken Moon's Serenade

2-pc set: Energy Recharge +20% 4-pc set: When dealing Elemental DMG, gain the Gleaming Moon: Devotion effect for 8s: Increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 60/120 when the party's Moonsign is Nascent Gleam/Ascendant Gleam. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field. All party members' Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 10% for each different Gleaming Moon effect that party members have. Effects from Gleaming Moon cannot stack.

A more supportive artifact set for Linnea. It gives energy recharge allowing her to access her elemental burst fast. Additionally, this set allows her to give a partywide elemental mastery and lunar reaction damage boost.

4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams

2-pc set: DEF +30% 4-pc set: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.

Husk of Opulent Dreams is a good contender as well, especially if you're in non-Nod-Krai teams. This gives you defense, stats where Linnea's damage and healing scales off of and gives her Curiosity stack by hitting opponents with geo attack. She also gains this passively while off-field. Curiosity Stack will give Linnea up to 24% DEF and 24% Geo damage bonus, on top of the 2-piece set effect.

Genshin Impact Linnea constellations - Should you pull?

Here’s a quick rundown of Linnea’s constellations in Genshin Impact.

If aiming for the best Linnea build, C2 is usually the sweet spot. It already makes a noticeable difference thanks to the crit damage boost. That said, C1 and C6 are also solid to have if the stars (or your pulls) align. Overall, you don’t need to go all-in on every constellation to make her shine.

01. Provisional Classification

Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: When unleashing Elemental Skill Countermeasure: Lumi's Battle Cry!, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea gains 6 stacks of the Field Catalog effect for 10s. Max 18 stacks. When party members deal Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, consume 1 stack of Field Catalog to increase the DMG dealt. Increase in DMG is equal to 75% of Linnea's DEF. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, Linnea can consume up to 5 stacks of Field Catalog. Each stack will increase the DMG dealt by 150% of Linnea's DEF. Effect: Great constellation to have especially if you want to greatly boost Linnea and her team's damage.

02. Tidings of Joy and Sorrow

Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: Within 8s after triggering Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo party members have their CRIT DMG increased by 40%. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, the CRIT DMG of that attack increases by an additional 150%. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: When Lumi uses Heavy Overdrive Hammer in her Super Power Form, or when she uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, if there are Moondrift(s) nearby, an instance of Moondrift Harmony will be triggered. For this instance of Moondrift Harmony, all Hydro and Geo characters in the party will be considered to have applied their Elements in the reaction. Reason: Since Lunar-Crystallize crits, we consider Linnea's C2 as a huge buff. It gives a partywide 40% crit damage and crit damage of Linnea's triple tap E. This also triggers an additional instance of Moondrift Harmony.

03. Eventful Log Page
Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: Increases the Level of Countermeasure: Lumi's Battle Cry! by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. Reason: Increases Lumi's damage, and a great stepping stone for C4 and C6.

04. Expert Instinct
Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: Within 5s after triggering Moondrift Harmony, increase the DEF of Linnea and your current active character by 25% respectively. When Linnea is on field, the DEF-increasing effect can be stacked. Reason: Reason: +25% DEF is a huge plus for Linnea and other party members who'd want to get as many DEF stats as possible.

05. Fairyland's Farewell Gift
Ratings: ★ ★ ★ Effect: Elemental Burst Memo: Survival Guide in Extreme Conditions increases by 3 Levels. Maximum upgrade level is 15. Reason: Only increases her healing on her elemental burst. Great to have if pulling for C6.

06. Golden Hound's Dream

Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: The effects of the Constellation, Provisional Classification, are enhanced: When unleashing Elemental Skill Countermeasure: Lumi's Battle Cry!, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Linnea will directly gain the maximum number of Field Catalog stacks. When consuming Field Catalog, consume an additional number of stacks equal to twice the original number, such that the increase in DMG will be boosted to 150% of the original value. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members is elevated by 25%. Reason: Greatly increases Linnea, allowing her to be used as on-field DPS. On top of that, she could also increase the team's damage.

Genshin Impact Linnea teams

For Linnea best teams, you can run a Zibai Lunar-Crystallize team or Navia crystallize team!

Linnea mainly functions as a sub-DPS buffer, and with her kit, she gets to take the role of a Geo and Lunar-Crystallize buffer, an off-field secondary DPS and healer.

Zibai Lunar-Crystallize team - Zibai, Linnea, Illuga and Columbina

Linnea has just filled the missing piece in the Zibai team. Meet the Hydro-Crystallize team composition consisting of Zibai, Linnea, Illuga and Columbina, or the best Genshin Linnea team.

Zibai's one of Genshin Impact best DPS currently, and she just got a huge upgrade with the release of Linnea. Linnea is set to be the dedicated Lunar-Crystallize support for Zibai. Slot in Columbina too for off-field hydro application and Lunar-Crystallize buffs. Finally, add Illuga (C6 ideally) for the direct Lunar-Crystallize damage, crit rate and crit damage increase.

Navia Lunar-Crystallize team - Navia, Linnea, Columbina and Furina

For the second team, you can also run a Navia Lunar-Crystallize team. Everything in this team flows smoothly. Columbina, Linnea and Furina provide teamwide buffs for Navia, while Navia also gets to gain Crystal Shrapnels stacks through Crystallize reaction. With three off-field hydro and geo applicator, this team is expected to run like clockwork.

Linnea can also activate Furina's fanfare buffs through her elemental burst which provides healing.

Itto Lunar-Crystallize Team - Arataki Itto, Illuga, Linnea and Columbina

Players can also build a triple Geo Lunar-Crystallize team composition with Itto, Linnea, Columbina and Gorou.

Geo used to have Xilonen as one of his best buffers and healers. However, Xilonen doesn't really work in mono geo or triple geo teams, which is what Itto prefers. Luckily, Linnea could work in this type of team composition. She gets to convert Hydro Crystallize into Lunar-crystallize, shred Geo and Lunar-Crystallize resistance and provide healing at the same time. Slot in Gorou, who is one of Itto's prime supports.

You can also replace Gorou with Illuga, and Columbina with Furina.

Noelle F2P Lunar-Crystallize Team - C6 Noelle, Illuga, Columbina and Linnea

For a slightly F2P team, Linnea can also be used to boost C6 Noelle’s damage.

Noelle is primarily a shielder and healer, but once her C6 is unlocked, she shifts from a support role to a powerhouse. Her Elemental Burst can deal massive damage while simultaneously healing teammates. While Noelle is on-field, Illuga, Columbina, and Linnea can serve as reliable supports to maximize team effectiveness.
