Genshin Impact Nefer Build Guide (v6.5) – Best Artifacts, Weapons & Teams

Lunar reactions currently dominate the meta in version 6.5, making Nefer one of the strongest on-field DPS options available.

As a 5-star Dendro Catalyst, Nefer specializes in Lunar-Bloom damage through Moonsign-based team synergy. While her kit may look complex at first, her actual gameplay loop is straightforward once properly set up.

In this Nefer build guide, we’ll cover everything you need to maximize her performance — including best weapons, artifacts, stats, teams, and how to play her effectively in real combat scenarios!

Nefer Build Quick Summary

  • Best Artifacts: Night of the Sky's Unveiling
  • Best Weapon: Reliquary of Truth
  • Main Stats: Elemental Mastery, Crit Rate
  • Talent Priority: Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst >>> Normal Attack
  • Best Team: Nefer, Lauma, Columbina and Sucrose

Genshin Impact Nefer build guide - How to use Nefer

Nefer is a five-star Dendro Lunar-Bloom DPS. Like Flins and Zibai, Nefer capitalizes on Lunar reactions, supported by Moonsign characters, to deal serious damage in-game.

The Lunar-Bloom DPS’ kit, while it looks complicated, is actually pretty easy to use. When played in her primary role, your team is required to activate Moonsign Ascendant Gleam. This is done by having another Nod-Krai member on the team. Another requirement is at least one off-field Hydro character who will help create Dendro Cores and Verdant Dews.

For an optimal setup, you can use this basic rotation:

  • Step 1: Set up Hydro and Dendro supports or applicators
  • Step 2: Generate Dendro Cores via reaction between Hydro and Dendro attacks, and Verdant Dews from Lunar-Bloom
  • Step 3: Switch to Nefer and hold Elemental Skill
  • Step 4: Perform Charged Attacks to consume stacks

For an optimal combo, use E > 3 Charged Attacks > E Charged Attacks. To fully optimize her kit, some dash cancels may be learned, similar to how they are used with Hu Tao’s charged attacks.

Genshin Impact Nefer talent priority

As a damage dealer, we recommend investing resources into her kit. Here are the talents you should prioritize for the best Genshin Nefer build.

TalentNefer talent PriorityRecommended level
Normal Attack★ ★2+
Elemental Skill★ ★ ★ ★ ★10+
Elemental Burst★ ★ ★ ★ 8+

Although Nefer uses charged attacks to inflict damage, the damage barely comes from her normal attack multipliers so feel free to ignore this talent. So, for Nefer talent priority, focus on upgrading her elemental skill, which is the bread-and-butter of her kit. After crowning or upgrading her skill, you can work on her elemental burst next.

Best Weapons for Genshin Impact Nefer build

Nefer Weapons Quick Recommendation

  • Best-in-slot: Reliquary of Truth
  • Best alternative: Nightweaver’s Looking Glass- Best 4-star: Dawning Frost
  • Best F2P: Blackmarrow Lantern
  • If you have Nefer’s signature weapon, it is always the top choice due to its strong CRIT and EM
  • scaling. Otherwise, prioritize EM-based catalysts.

Although Nefer relies on a transformative reaction, it’s Lunar reactions we’re talking about here, so she’ll need hefty amounts of Crit damage, Crit rate, and EM. The best weapons for the best Genshin Nefer build are Reliquary of Truth, Nightweaver’s Looking Glass, Tome of the Eternal Flow, Dawning Frost, Surf’s Up, and Blackmarrow Lantern.

Check out U7BUY for Genshin Primogems if planning to pull for Nefer or her signature weapon in Version 6.5!

Every Nod-Krai DPS has their own prime sub-DPS, and Nefer, it is Lauma.

Lauma is a sub-DPS support offering a bunch of great buffs such as Dendro resistance shred, Lunar-Bloom crit rate and crit damage increase, and Lunar-bloom base and additive damage bonus. Her kit meshes perfectly well with Nefer, so that the Lunarbloom DPS suffers a huge damage output loss by not having Lauma in the team.

Meanwhile, Columbina is generally a great Lunar sub-DPS, support and off-field hydro applicator. With her gravity ripple, she can also increase the damage of Lunar reactions. The final slot can go to any supports, healers, or shielders. For a glass cannon team, enter Sucrose. Sucrose makes it easier to deal with multiple enemies with her crowd controls. She also provides debuff via Viridescent Venerer, and further increases Nefer’s damage via teamwide EM buff.

Nefer Furina team - Nefer, Furina, Lauma and Kuki Shinobu

  • Main DPS: Nefer

Players can also replace Columbina with Furina. Furina is a sub-DPs with impressive hydro application through her elemental skill. It has 100% uptime, good application rate, and her personal damage is something not to be underestimated as well. On top of everything, she applies Fanfare buffs using her elemental burst, which increases Nefer’s damage. For Furina teams, you will require a healer for the final slot.

Nefer F2P team - Nefer, Aino, Collei, and Kuki Shinobu

  • Sub-DPS and Hydro applicator: Aino
  • Sub-DPS: Collei

Nefer is also free-to-play friendly. All she needs is at least one hydro off-fielder, a Nod-krai unit, and another dendro. Luckily, Aino exists, which means you can pretty much slot in some good dendro 4-stars and a flex.

For the third and second slot, you can use Collei for off-field dendro application, and Kuki Shinobu for healing and sustain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What role does Nefer play?

Nefer is primarily a main DPS who stays on-field. Her kit revolves around triggering Lunar-Bloom reactions, and charged attacks during her special state.

Is Nefer F2P-friendly?

She can work with accessible teammates, but her performance scales significantly with premium Moonsign supports. Without them, her damage ceiling feels more limited.

What stats should be prioritized on Nefer?

Focus on offensive stats like EM, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG, along with any stats that enhance her Lunar reaction damage depending on her scaling.

Is Nefer hard to play?

Not really. While her kit looks complex on paper due to Lunar interactions, her actual gameplay loop is pretty straightforward

Is Nefer worth pulling?

For players invested in Lunar or Moonsign teams, she’s a strong pickup. Not to mention, she is currently one of the top 5 DPs characters in Genshin Impact as of 2026.

With that, this Genshin Impact Nefer build guide comes to a close, outlining how to maximize her overall performance. Nefer rounds out as a great pick for players looking to invest in a Lunar-focused DPS with a smooth and rewarding gameplay loop. While her full potential depends heavily on proper team synergy, especially with Moonsign enablers, she pays that investment back with consistent damage and strong reaction scaling once everything clicks.
