If you were expecting GTA VI to cost the same as a typical AAA game, prepare to be surprised. Tom Henderson, one of the industry’s most reliable insiders, just confirmed on the Insider Gaming podcast what many of us feared: the base game will cost USD 99 — and that’s just the beginning!
Rockstar will release editions priced at $110, $145, and $399, which will include exclusive content, collectibles, and possibly early access to GTA Online.
Regarding the special editions, Henderson was clear. There will be a €110 edition, which will probably include credits for GTA Online and some exclusive digital content. There will also be a $145 edition with more extras and a $399 collector’s edition.
The collector’s edition will include physical merchandise, figures, maps, concept art, and anything else Rockstar deems justifiable for that price. Honestly, knowing GTA fans, the $399 edition will sell out in minutes.
Henderson also mentioned that $99 will be the new standard for AAA games of this caliber, which he thinks is key. Although other companies tried raising prices to $90 in 2025 and had to backtrack, Rockstar has the market power to do so without anyone batting an eye.
According to Henderson’s own estimates, GTA VI will sell 30–40 million copies instantly, so the price won’t be an issue for most people.
Everything we know about GTA VI so far

We’ve been following the development of GTA 6 for many years now. Way back to when the very first leaks started to emerge in 2018.

And now that we know the game is coming out on November 19th, plus the fact that Rockstar has given us a bunch of information through all the trailers, multiple insider notes, and of course, the leaks that occurred three years ago, we essentially can tell an absurd volume of information about this game. So, in this article, we want to share it all with you.
Characters

So, let’s start off with all of the characters that were in the trailer. Right now, we know of two playable protagonists, Jason Dubal and Lucia Caminos. At the start of the game, Jason will be in the Leonita Keys.
What we know about Lucia is that she is from the infamous Liberty City, where her father trained her in boxing from an early age. It was a fight that went terribly wrong that sent her to jail, and Roxar told us that she was really lucky to be released early.
Brian Heda is one of the people Jason will be working for near the start of the story. And in fact, the house Jason is staying at in trailer 2 is one of Brian’s houses.
Brian runs a drug smuggling operation in the Keys, and it seems like Jason is going to be helping him do some of that work. Brian has had two divorces so far, and we know that he already has a new wife when the game starts.

Another GTA6 character called Cal is one of Jason’s best friends, and he also works for Brian. Cal is a bit of a conspiracy theorist. And apart from helping Brian with his drug smuggling, you can also find Cal prying on the law’s enforcers coms with various websites of bad reputation open.
Our next character, Booby Ike, is the owner of a reputable stripper’s club inside the city. Booby is also a drug runner, as well as owning his own record studio. His studio is named ORR, which he co-owns with another character named Draco Priest.
Draco grew up selling drugs in the poorer parts of the city to make ends meet. However, his goal is to make a name for himself in the music world. He is apparently pretty proud of his music career, although his only achievement so far has been signing a viral duet with his record label, Only Raw Records.
This brings us to the next two characters: the Real Dime Sisters. Known by their stage names, Roxy and Bayux — also known as the Real Dimes — have been friends since high school. Half a decade ago, they had a one-hit wonder; they are singing that song in Trailer 1.
They recently reached an agreement with Draco’s record label, hoping lightning would strike twice and they would have another successful hit. Our next character, Raul Batista, is a charismatic, seasoned bank robber, and you can see Lucia and Jason completing a heist with him in trailer 2.
Gameplay

Let’s move into the gameplay. We know of about 40 items and weapons that will be usable by the player. All of these came in the 2022 leaks, and you can see all of them on your screen here.
The most notable items and tools are things like the immobilizer bypass as well as the slim gym, which suggests that we’ll have different ways to break into cars instead of just being able to steal any car we like.
We’ll have dedicated healing items like painkillers and trauma kits instead of just eating snacks in GTA Online. Food and drinks will act as recovery items, a tracker jammer, which could be used to scatter your location from the police hunting you down.
Moving into the weapons, we’ve got a lot of classics that you’d expect in a GTA game, like the baseball bat, rocket launcher, and assault rifle. We’ve got a bunch of throwables, ones you’d expect, like a Molotov, as well as some new ones like a smoke grenade and a flashbang.
Most notably in the weapon category, though, we have a spear gun, which will most likely be used for hunting.
Players are expected to return to the trunk of their vehicle to change guns, similarly to how it worked in RD2, where it was necessary to go back to the mount to change weapons. Fist fighting will be a massive step up over GTA 5, giving the player the ability to grapple. The covering system has new features compared to GTA 5.
Shooting out of cars has been entirely revised and is much more similar to something like the PS2 era game, where the player can stick their entire body out of the window to aim in a complete circle, as opposed to GTA 5, where your character just sort of sticks their weapon out of the vehicle.
Activities

We already know of a bunch of side activities in GTA 6. Even before trailer 2 came out, we already knew of seven activities. Those are dice, golf, fishing, races, robbable van shipments, normal robberies, as well as deliveries.
But in trailer 2, as well as all of the stuff that came with it, we learned of even more. These are activities like pool, swimming, hunting, dirt biking, snorkeling and scuba diving, car washes, mini golf, Kayaking, tennis, and basketball, as well as fighting or working out in gyms.
Map & World

As for the map and world of GTA 6, the GTA 6 mapping community has taken every frame of each GTA 6 trailer, every screenshot, and every frame from the GTA 6 leaks in 2022 to create the most accurate and up-to-date version of the GTA 6 map.
As for the world of GTA 6, we currently know of six different locations. Of course, Vice City, the main city and the main location of the game, the Leonid Keys at the lowermost part of the map, most likely where Jason’s story will begin.
Other parts include:
• The Grass Rivers at the middle of the map above Leonid Keys.
• Port Gellhorn is located in the western section of the map. A vile drug riled city.
• And finally, we have Ambrosia, the home of the Final Chapter, biker gang, as well as yet another one of the capitals of drug running in Leonida.
The weather is also going to be a massive step up over GTA 5. Now, you may have heard that there’s going to be crazy climate events like tornadoes, tsunamis, all of this stuff. That hasn’t been confirmed.
FAQ
1. There will be special character abilities like in GTA 5?
Both Jason and Lucia will have their own special abilities, just like the GTA 5 characters did, with Jason’s ability being some sort of eagle-eye or dead-like ability somewhat similar to Michael in GTA 5 or Arthur in Red Dead 2.
2. What vehicles are confirmed to return?
As for every confirmed vehicle in GTA 6, we have over a hundred already. In fact, we actually have so many confirmed vehicles just from the trailers alone. And if you want to scroll through and check them all out, on this page from the GTA base.
This article wouldn’t be possible without the incredible work of the GTA community. We will be having GTA 6 Accounts for Sale shortly after the launch, and we certainly will open a special section to buy GTA 6 Items when they hit the market. And with that, we close this summary of everything we know about GTA 6 so far.
