Tower Defense games are quite popular in Roblox and if we are talking about Tower Defense games that have anime styled characters, then Universal Tower Defense comes on top. Now a lot of these characters can be obtained by summoning on the Gacha Banners but there is one secret character that you can’t obtain through the standard method of summoning. And yes, we are talking about Lelouch – one of the most well-written main characters in the history of anime, whose mysterious aura can be seen even in the game of Universal Tower Defense.
In this guide, we will be showcasing how to obtain Lelouch in the game, for which you need to do a special quest.

Requirements
Lelouch can be obtained for free but requires you to complete a special quest along with other set requirements. For the mission, you will be needing to interact with a mysterious NPC, which may seem quite simple but here’s the catch. This witch can only be interacted with when the player has reached Level 30. So, before you begin on this path to obtain Lelouch (Lulu), make sure that you are at least level 30 or above.
Now, if you are wondering as to how to level up quickly and efficiently, then you are recommended to equip the best heroes you have, go fight some battles and collect XP to level up. If you need some ease with the grinding, you could also check out the Universal Tower Defense Shop.
Step-by-Step Explanation
The steps that you need to follow in order to get Lelouch are as follows:
Step 1 – Selecting Quests
After you have hit level 30 or higher, head to the quests tab and complete the Introduction Quest first. After it's been completed, claim the quest titled “Power of Kings”, which can be found in your Personal Quests Tab. It will tell you to find a distressed NPC.

Step 2 – Find the Distressed NPC
Now the distressed NPC that the quest is telling you to find is none other than the witch we talked about earlier. She can be found near the summoning area in the hub world, sitting on a wall. Just to let you know, this distressed NPC can be any other character like Naruto, Luffy, or Gin as well. Just check for the glowing red symbol on the character’s head and that’s your target. A fun fact is that the witch is actually C.C. from Code Geass.

Step 3 – Initiate the Quest
After you have conversed with the NPC, the quest will officially start. After that, you will be led to a chessboard in which you will have to complete and win the game of chess. This is where some of your chess knowledge will come in handy because you will have to win at least 1 of those 3 matches. It is to be noted that the map, on which you find the chessboard board will vary according to the NPC you talked to.
- If its Naruto, then it will be the Ninja Forest
- If it's Gen, then the map will be of the Hollowed Moon
- If it's Luffy, then the map will be tied to the Marine Base.
Step 4 – Return to the Witch
After you have completed the Chess Match, return to C.C./Mysterious Witch or whatever NPC you got. And no, she won’t be just straight out handing you Lelouch because there’s a reason that this is one of the most complicated quests and you are just about to find out. The Witch/NPC will then give you the following missions one after another:-
- Clear out 80 Waves in a Single Game Mode
- Kill 15 Boss Enemies
- Upgrade a single relic 75 times
- Place any unit 5,000 times in any game mode
Step 5 – The Clearing Wave
The first trial is always the easiest and so is this one. The more competitive players that are always ready to test their builds can of course just go ahead and clear whatever number of waves (just more than 80) in any game mode they like, but for those of you that don’t like grinding too much. Here’s what you can do to finish the first mission.
- Head over to the Infinite Mode
- Set it to the easiest difficulty
- Have fun slaying 80 waves of monsters.

Step 6 – Killing Boss Enemies
Now this may sound a little tricky but hey, it is not. This is just another trick of Lelouch to prevent you from getting his goated character. Once again the stronger and competitive ones can do whatever they want, load into any mode at any difficulty, but for the lazy ones. All you need to do is load into a story level, and that too at the lowest difficulty and just spam your keys to easily take down those bosses.
Step 7 – Upgrading a Relic 75 Times
This is where a lot of you guys quit. They all just go like “OH MY GOD. I GOTTA UPGRADE A SINGLE PIECE OF JUNK 75 TIMES?!?!??!?! NO NO NO NO NO” But hey, drama queen. Chill down. It is bad but not as bad as it looks like. All you gotta do is just hit the Power up button seventy-five times. No need to level it up. Just the Power-up Button.
Step 8 – Placing those Godforsaken Units
Now this is where the actual grind comes in and I just know that a lot of you will already be like “ahhh no more”. Well, why? Are your fingers hurting from tapping that damned button 75 times? Well, here’s more to it so suck it up. You will need to place those 5,000 units and there is no shortcut here. The best you can do is place the cheap rares with high placement in an easy map in the Infinite Mode.
Step 9 – Congratulations
After completing these quests, you will finally be able to claim Lulu from your Personal Quest menu.

Conclusion
Lelouch is one of the 8 exclusive characters that cannot be obtained from the Gacha summoning. While that makes it hard to obtain him, it also makes the game more interesting as it actually feels that you are putting in some effort to be great enough to have him as one of your characters. The grind for Lulu may be tiring but when it comes to using him in your battles, it becomes totally worth your time.
