The Huge Update introduced four new races, Secret-rarity Archangel and Reaper, which totally changed the meta. S+ Tier Secret Races (New Meta Kings)
Both Reaper and Archangel are Secret-rarity races added with the Huge Update, and they're definitely above all previous Mythicals. In particular, Race Rerolls cannot be applied to Reaper or Archangel. Both are races for evolution. Reaper is a progression of Wraith, and Archangel is a progression of Angel, via dedicated questlines in Sea 2.

Reaper is great for Sword Damage. Archangel is suited for general farm and versatility. For those who like to main swords and boss farming, Reaper first. For the ultimate overall player, Archangel is the winner.

These are still the best rollable races that can be bought directly from Race Rerolls with the ~0.5% Mythical chance. Warlord is the best with +22% Melee DMG Multi, +85% Max HP, +80% DMG. Swordblessed is the best choice for sword builds that have +20% Sword DMG Multi, +80% Max HP, and +75% DMG. With a +25% Luck multiplier, Kitsune is still unbeatable for farming.

Fishman is the most efficient race for the early game, in terms of XP and Money (+15%). Reroll off Human as soon as you get Race Rerolls.

Secret races, Reaper, and Archangel are not available via Race Rerolls. Reaper has to be evolved from Wraith first, and Archangel has to be evolved from Angel first; both are dedicated Sea 2 questlines. When Mythical is set to 0.5%, you can expect to hit Angel or Wraith on average 200 times. The odds of hitting one of the Mythical from the full pool is quite a bit higher. No confirmed pity system (per community verified data).
How to Farm Race Rerolls Fast
Race Rerolls drop from every mob and boss in the game, but drop rates increase significantly with enemy level. Two acquisition methods exist:
Method 1: Boss farming (fastest):
The Huge Update introduced two new islands (Blue Planet and Slayer Island) in Sea 2, and the higher-level NPCs and drop rates were better than those of the older islands. Blue Planet and Slayer Island are now the most efficient farming spots for Race Rerolls, Upper Seals, and Power Shards all at the same time. The new islands are better for Sea 2 gamers, while Lawless Island Arena Fighters are still strong.
Method 2 Merchant NPC on Sailor Island: Race Rerolls can be purchased directly from the Merchant NPC on Sailor Island. To view the inventory of this NPC, you have to be Level 1,000 or higher. This is the surest way to enjoy guaranteed access by players as opposed to RNG farming.
AFK setup for passive farming: Lawless Island Arena Fighters with Auto Skills and Auto Haki active, AoE build centered, private server enabled. Expect Race Rerolls alongside Upper Seals and Power Shards in the same session to be the most efficient use of farming time in the current meta.
Kitsune interim strategy critical and nobody talks about this: If you do not have a Mythical race yet, actively rolling to Kitsune first is a legitimate strategy. Kitsune's +25% Luck Multi directly increases your Race Reroll drop rate from enemies, accelerating how quickly you accumulate the rolls needed to hit Warlord or Swordblessed. Stack Kitsune with Monarch Clan (+20% drop chance passive) and Fortune Rune for the maximum possible Race Reroll farming efficiency before committing to Mythical hunting. Buy Sailor Piece items on a reliable marketplace if you need Gems or Race Rerolls to bridge the gap directly.
How to Unlock Secret Races Reaper & Archangel Questlines
Reaper (Evolves from Wraith)
Take a trip to Slayer Island in Sea 2, and talk to the Soul Harvester NPC. Complete 4 Soul Trials: 1,500 NPC kills, 3 Rare Boss Souls from Spirit Warrior/Cosmic Being/The World, 10 Kraken kills, and 10 Easy Minotaur Raids completed without dying. Come back to Soul Harvester to pick up Reaper.
If you accidentally reroll Reaper away, you can get it back by talking to the Soul Harvester NPC again as a Wraith, without having to repeat the questline
Archangel (Evolves from Angel)
Go to the Blue Planet Island in Sea 2 and talk to the Celestial Guide NPC while having Angel prepared. Complete 3 Divine Trials: 5 Secret-rarity drops (Aura Crates, Secret Chests, Guild Keys), 4 Hidden Halos on Sea 2 islands, and 4 Angel Halos from bosses (Atomic, Strongest Shinobi, Cosmic Being, Sun God, Spirit Warrior, and The World). Angel will automatically become Archangel when returning to the Celestial Guide.
With +100% Damage and +115% Max HP, and +55% Luck, Archangel is actually the strongest race for those who wish to farm rare items whilst being able to survive boss fights. This +15% Double Drop Chance will combine with other luck-increasing equipment.
How to Use a Race Reroll in Sailor Piece
- Open your inventory via the INV ( using stash icon) on the left side of the screen
2. Click the Shop Icon from the Inventory Menu
3. Find Race Reroll under the items section
4. Merge Weapons and click it. A confirmation message appears, and confirm to consume one Race Reroll and receive a random new race immediately.
Each Race Reroll replaces your current race permanently. There is no preview before confirmation; commit only when ready.
Best Race and Trait Combinations for Every Build
Pure Melee Highest Damage Output:
Warlord + Emperor Trait. Emperor's 2.30x damage multiplier stacks directly with Warlord's +80% DMG and +22% Melee DMG Multi for the highest melee DPS combination in the game. Add Moon Slayer or Strongest Shinobi for a build that produces the top damage benchmarks currently demonstrated in community showcases.
Sword Builds Meta Boss Farming:
Swordblessed + Celestial Trait. Celestial's 2.20x multiplier amplifies the +20% Sword DMG Multi from Swordblessed into exceptional output on True Aizen, Shadow Monarch, and Abyssal Empress. This is specifically the best combination for sustained boss farming in the Infinite Tower and Tower of Adversity.
Melee with Sustained Long Boss Fights:
Galevorn + Singularity Trait. Singularity's 30% cooldown reduction keeps Galevorn's melee output cycling continuously without ability downtime. Particularly effective with Anos and Gilgamesh, who both benefit from rapid ability chaining.
