Element, weapon, banner slot and signature weapon confirmed by the Version 3.6 broadcast. Skill names, Qi costs and Resonance Chain values come from the final beta build. Skill multipliers stay unpublished until launch.
Your 3-cost Echoes want HP%, not Fusion DMG Bonus, because his HP-to-ATK conversion runs all the way to roughly 50,000 Max HP. And Iuno is not rerunning in Version 3.6, so plan your team around what you already own.
WuWa Jingran Kit: Yin-Yang Stances, Qi and Shield Conversion
His kit ties damage to Max HP rather than Attack, then converts shields into stacking damage bonuses. He runs two stances, one resource, and two shield-driven systems.
The Two Stances
Jingran starts every fight in Yang Font. Each stance has its own four-hit basic combo:
Stance
Basic Attack Chain
Resonance Skill
Yang Font
Devil's Bane
Scorching Yang
Yin Vessel
Drink Soul
Encroaching Yin
Stages 3 and 4 of either chain deal Heavy Attack damage and restore 50 Qi each. That detail matters more than it looks, since it means half his basic combo already counts toward his Heavy Attack scaling.
Qi and the Stance Swap
Qi caps at 300 points. Here is where it comes from:
Basic Attack stages 3 and 4: 50 points each
Dodge Counter (Nether Dive or Light Watch): 100 points
Enhanced Resonance Skill (Netherworld Traverse or Afterlife's Guide): 100 points
Intro Skill (Question the Tombs): 100 points
Resonance Liberation: 200 points
At 300 Qi you hold Resonance Skill, not Basic Attack, to cast his stance-swapping Heavy Attack. From Yang Font that is Stardome Meander, which flips him to Yin Vessel. From Yin Vessel that is Soul Raid, which flips him back.
This is worth stating plainly because it trips people up. Most Heavy Attacks in Wuthering Waves come from holding Basic Attack. His do not.
Cleanse of Impurity: The Skill Upgrade Window
Casting either Resonance Skill grants Cleanse of Impurity for four seconds. During that window, pressing Basic Attack casts an upgraded version of the skill instead: Netherworld Traverse in Yin Vessel, or Afterlife's Guide in Yang Font.
Both deal Heavy Attack damage and restore 100 Qi. The window breaks if you swap characters, swap stances, or touch the ground while airborne. Missing this upgrade costs you a large chunk of your Qi generation, so learn the timing early.
Ghost Shroud and Fortune in Disguise: His Real Damage Engine
This is the system that defines him, and it is worth understanding before you build or team him.
Ghost Shroud caps at 50 points. He gains it whenever nearby teammates gain a shield, at one point per trigger from his base kit and two more from his Inherent Skill Trace the Vestige. A separate effect called Fixation grants 15 points in one go when a teammate first shields after combat starts or after his Outro.
Fortune in Disguise is what those points become. His Intro Skill converts every Ghost Shroud point into one stack, capping at 50. Each stack grants Fusion DMG Bonus scaling off his Max HP, at 0.05% per 1000 Max HP, up to 2.5% per stack.
Run that math at his 50,000 HP target. Fifty stacks at 2.5% each is 125% Fusion DMG Bonus from this system alone. That is not a minor passive. It is the single largest damage source in his kit.
The catch is the trigger. Ghost Shroud comes from teammate shields, not his own. So a shielding support is not optional flavour on Jingran, it is how you turn on his biggest multiplier. Swapping to another Resonator also ends Fortune in Disguise, so the stacks are spent inside one field window.
Earth Charm: His Self-Shield
His Inherent Skill Hark the Dust grants Earth Charm from his Intro Skill or either Resonance Skill. For 15 seconds, dealing damage refreshes a personal shield worth 1.6% of Max HP plus 700, every half second.
That shield feeds Lamp of Nether Road's Crit Rate stacks and his signature weapon, so his own survivability and his own gearing bonuses run off the same loop. Inside Yinghuo the shield halves to 0.8% Max HP plus 350.
HP Conversion and the DEF Quirk
His Forte Circuit, Upstream Along Santu, carries two passives that turn Max HP into offence.
Yang Changes, Yin Unites converts Max HP into bonus ATK. Nether to Light locks his DEF at a fixed value regardless of gear and converts Max HP into bonus Healing received.
The practical read is simple. DEF stats do nothing for him at all, and HP does double duty as a survival and damage stat. That is why the HP target sits so high.
Resonance Liberation: Burial of Thousand Souls
His ultimate deals Fusion damage counted as Heavy Attack damage, then does four things at once:
Cuts his HP to 50% of maximum if he is above that threshold
Grants 200 Qi
Grants 3 stacks of Wayfarer's Mark
Enters the Yinghuo state for 15 seconds
Wayfarer's Mark refunds 200 Qi each time he casts a stance-swap Heavy Attack, consuming one stack. That gives him three near-free Heavy Attacks inside the burst window.
Inside Yinghuo, each stance-swap Heavy Attack summons Chimei Wangliang, his lynx spirit, for extra Fusion damage counted as Heavy Attack damage. All remaining Qi vanishes when Yinghuo ends, so dump it before the timer runs out.
The self-damage is real but manageable. He drops to half HP, not a fixed amount, and his shields plus Max HP-scaled healing cover the gap. Still, a healer keeps that loop comfortable.
Outro Skill
Rising Fortune and Ebbing Sha deals Fusion damage equal to 795% of his ATK, and casting it grants Fixation for the next Ghost Shroud burst.
WuWa Jingran: What Is Confirmed and What Is Not
Plenty of Jingran leaks are circulating, and not all of them carry the same weight. Here is the honest split.
EstimatedAround September 10, based on the 21-day cycle
Confirmed entries come from the official Version 3.6 broadcast. Live entries are already in Wuthering Waves. Datamined entries come from the final beta build and rarely change, but Kuro has published no numbers officially.
WuWa Jingran Best Echo Set: Lamp of Nether Road
Kuro shipped Lamp of Nether Road in Version 3.5, and it reads like it was written for him.
Lamp of Nether Road

5-Piece
Gaining a shield grants 5% Crit Rate for 5s, stacking up to 4 times for 20% total. It triggers once every 0.5s. At max stacks, you also gain 15% Fusion DMG Bonus.
Why it stays at max stacks: Jingran's Earth Charm refreshes a personal shield every 0.5 seconds while he deals damage, so the 5-piece sits at four stacks through his whole rotation without any support. That free 20% Crit Rate lets you chase Crit DMG substats instead of splitting between both. Farm the set at the Western Fang Peaks Tacet Field in Mengzhou.
His Earth Charm shield refreshes every half second while he attacks, so the stacks sit at maximum through his whole rotation with no support needed. That free 20% Crit Rate solves the hardest gearing problem in Wuthering Waves, since it lets you chase Crit DMG substats instead of splitting between both.
Where to farm it: the Western Fang Peaks Tacet Field in Mengzhou. Tacet Discord Nests around Xuanfang also drop it daily without spending Waveplates, though those drops are shared with other Sonata Effects in the region.
The 4-Cost Main Echo: Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis
This is settled now. Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis is his main Echo, and Version 3.6 makes it easier to get by adding the boss to Tactical Hologram: Sparring. The Resonance Sim Realm event also hands out a Phantom version.
It deals Fusion damage based on Max HP and grants Fusion DMG Bonus plus Heavy Attack DMG Bonus in the main slot. Every line feeds his kit.
One correction from our earlier version. We flagged a datamined Echo called Jade Nether Serpent as a possible upgrade. The broadcast confirmed the Jade Nether Serpent as a new enemy in Version 3.6, not as his dedicated main Echo. Build Rustfire Chassis without hesitation.

Max HP TargetAim for roughly 50,000 Max HP. His Forte converts Max HP into bonus ATK, his Fortune in Disguise stacks convert it into Fusion DMG Bonus, and it also sets his shield size and healing received. Falling short costs noticeable damage, which is why HP% beats Fusion DMG Bonus on the 3-cost slots.
Standard 4-3-3-1-1 layout. Lamp of Nether Road already grants up to 20% Crit Rate for free, so favour Crit DMG once your Rate sits in a comfortable band. His DEF is locked at a fixed value, so DEF substats do nothing for him at all.
This is a change from our earlier recommendation. We previously listed Fusion DMG Bonus on the 3-cost slots. Run HP% instead. His Max HP feeds his ATK conversion, his Fortune in Disguise damage bonus, his shield size, and his healing received. Fusion DMG Bonus only feeds one of those.
Substat priority runs Energy Regen to roughly 125% first, then Crit Rate and Crit DMG, then HP%, then Heavy Attack DMG, then ATK% or flat HP.
Do not over-stack Crit Rate. Lamp of Nether Road already grants up to 20% for free, so favour Crit DMG once your Rate sits in a comfortable band.
Hitting the 50,000 HP Target
His HP scaling keeps paying out to roughly 50,000 Max HP, and falling short costs noticeable damage. How hard that is depends on your layout:
4-3-3-1-1 with Crit DMG and two HP% 3-costs needs roughly 31.6% extra HP% from substats
4-3-1-1-1 with Crit DMG and one HP% 3-cost needs roughly 22.1%
4-1-1-1-1 with Crit DMG needs roughly 12.7%
More 3-cost Echoes give more raw stats but make the HP target harder to reach. Pick the layout your Echo quality actually supports rather than forcing the theoretically best one. Cartethyia owners will recognise this trade-off.
WuWa Jingran Weapon: Signature Broadblade and Best Alternatives
His signature is a 5-star Broadblade with 413 base ATK and a 72.2% HP secondary stat. That HP stat is the real prize, since it removes a large chunk of the pressure from his 50,000 HP target.
Call Upon Stars and Ghosts raises All-Attribute DMG Bonus, then grants one stack each of Nature's Order and Cradle of Life when he casts his Intro Skill or gains a shield. Both cap at six stacks and last seven seconds, triggering once every half second from shields.
Nature's Order raises Crit DMG per stack, and at six stacks also raises the Crit Rate of his Heavy Attack damage.
Cradle of Life is consumed two stacks at a time on Heavy Attacks, granting defense ignore that scales with stacks consumed.
One honest flag. This passive was revised during beta. Earlier datamines listed Nature's Order as a Fusion DMG Bonus rather than Crit DMG. Guides written in July may still carry the old version, so cross-check anything you read against the current build.
His constant Earth Charm shields stack both effects with no help, so the weapon runs at full value on his own.
Weapon
Rarity
Why It Works
Thousandfold Deliverance413 ATK · 72.2% HP
5-Star
Best in slot. That 72.2% HP secondary carries a large chunk of his 50,000 HP target on its own. Gaining a shield stacks Nature's Order for Crit DMG and Cradle of Life for Heavy Attack DEF ignore, and his own Earth Charm keeps both at max with no support.
Thunderflare Dominion
5-Star
Augusta's signature and the strongest non-signature option. Its Heavy Attack support lines up directly with where Jingran's damage sits.
Verdant Summit
5-Star
Jiyan's signature. Crit DMG main stat, all-attribute DMG Bonus, and a strong Heavy Attack buff after Intro or Liberation.
Aureate Zenith
4-Star
Battle Pass Broadblade and a clean transitional pick while you save for his signature.
Guardian Broadblade
3-Star
Craftable free-to-play pick. It boosts Basic and Heavy Attack DMG, which suits his Heavy Attack payoff at higher refinements.
Skip pure ATK Broadblades like Lustrous Razor and Helios Cleaver. Jingran gets his ATK from Max HP conversion, so an ATK passive sits mostly dead on him. Favour Crit, HP and Heavy Attack focused options instead. His signature weapon passive was also revised during beta, so guides written in July may list different numbers.
Broadblades to Approach With Caution
Pure ATK weapons like Lustrous Razor and Helios Cleaver work only as filler stat sticks. Jingran gets his ATK from Max HP conversion, so an ATK passive sits mostly dead on him. Favour Crit, HP, and Heavy Attack focused Broadblades instead.
Chasing his weapon banner on top of his character banner is expensive, so plan the spend early. If you top up, you can buy Wuwa Lunite at rates below the in-game store.

Why It Works
Heavy Attack CoreBest OverallIuno is not rerunning in 3.6
Iuno grants 50% Heavy Attack DMG through her Outro and shields him, which feeds his Ghost Shroud stacks. Shorekeeper covers his Liberation HP cost and supplies Crit stats.
Mono-FusionAlternativeMornye reruns in the same phase
JingranMain DPS+LupaFusion Support+MornyeSupport
Lupa brings fast Concerto and strong Fusion support with a smooth rotation. Mornye lifts the whole comp, and she reruns alongside Jingran in Phase 2.
Both buffers give useful Heavy Attack support without a premium roster, and a free healer covers his Liberation HP cost.
Why shielders matter more than ATK buffers: Ghost Shroud only builds from shields gained by other Resonators, never his own. His Intro converts those points into Fortune in Disguise, worth up to 125% Fusion DMG Bonus at 50 stacks on a 50,000 HP build. His ATK comes from Max HP conversion, so a flat ATK buff does far less for him than it would for a normal carry.
Iuno. Her Outro grants 50% Heavy Attack DMG for 14 seconds, the largest single Outro buff in the game, and it lands directly on his damage window. She also shields, which feeds Ghost Shroud. She remains his best partner on paper.
The problem is availability. Iuno is not rerunning in Version 3.6. Leaks placed her beside him for months, and a lot of players saved for that slot. If you do not already own her, build around Shorekeeper and a Fusion support instead.
Shorekeeper. Universal, and genuinely close to mandatory here. She heals through his Liberation HP cost, supplies Crit Rate and Crit DMG, and keeps his field window uninterrupted.
Lupa and Mornye. The mono-Fusion route works well if you want to skip Iuno entirely. Mornye reruns in the same Phase 2 window as Jingran, which makes that pairing convenient to assemble in one go.
Who Not To Bring
Skip pure ATK-share buffers as your core support. His ATK comes from HP conversion, so a flat ATK buff does far less for him than it would for a normal carry. Prioritise shielders, Heavy Attack buffers, and healers instead.

S1
Resonance Skill multipliers up 80%, plus interruption immunity during those casts
S2Key stop
Heavy Attack multipliers up 40%, and a further 40% inside Yinghuo. Also grants Qi and Ghost Shroud on entering combat
S3
Heavy Attacks grant Ghost Shroud, and his Max HP to ATK conversion improves substantially
S4

S5
Survives one fatal blow and gains a shield worth 50% of Max HP, once every 10 minutes
S6Full power
Targets take 40% more Heavy Attack damage. Chimei Wangliang damage up 50%, with continuous summons during Yinghuo
Where to stop: S0 is fully functional, since his whole Yin-Yang cycle, shield conversion and Yinghuo mechanics work without dupes. S2 is the meaningful spike, front-loading Qi and Ghost Shroud to fix his slow opening while adding a large Heavy Attack multiplier. S6 is the full-power build.

S4 is worth noting for a different reason. It buffs the whole team rather than just him, which is unusual for a carry's fourth node.
Jingran Skill Priority
Unlock his Inherent Skills first. Hark the Dust and Trace the Vestige carry his shield generation and Ghost Shroud conversion, so they are worth more than any single skill level.
After that:
Forte Circuit (Upstream Along Santu)
Resonance Liberation (Burial of Thousand Souls)
Basic Attack (Edge of Life and Death)
Resonance Skill (Malevolent Encounter)
Intro Skill (Question the Tombs)
Basic Attack sits high here for a specific reason. Stages 3 and 4 of both his combos deal Heavy Attack damage, so that tree carries real damage rather than filler.
How to Play Jingran: Rotation
Open with your shielder so Ghost Shroud starts building before he enters.
Swap in with Question the Tombs. It converts all Ghost Shroud into Fortune in Disguise and grants 100 Qi.
Cast Resonance Liberation early to enter Yinghuo and bank 200 Qi plus three Wayfarer's Mark stacks.
Run basic combos to stage 3 and 4, weaving Resonance Skill and using the Cleanse of Impurity upgrade each time.
Hold Resonance Skill at 300 Qi to cast Stardome Meander or Soul Raid, swapping stances and summoning Chimei Wangliang.
Repeat until Yinghuo expires, spending all Qi before it ends.
Three mistakes cost most players damage. Entering without teammate shields banked means Fortune in Disguise starts near zero. Missing the Cleanse of Impurity window starves your Qi. And letting Yinghuo expire with Qi in the bank throws away a free Heavy Attack, since all Qi clears when the state ends.

WuWa Jingran Release Date and Version 3.6 Banner
Jingran headlines Phase 2 of Version 3.6 on the Featured Convene "Where Santu Beckons," confirmed during the Version 3.6 Preview Special Broadcast. Version 3.6 launches August 20, 2026, and Phase 2 should begin around September 10 based on the standard 21-day phase cycle. Kuro has not confirmed that exact date.
Thousandfold Deliverance runs on its own Featured Weapon Convene in the same phase, alongside Hiyuki's Frostburn and Mornye's Starfield Calibrator. Hiyuki and Mornye also rerun beside him. For the full breakdown, see our Wuthering Waves 3.6 banner guide.
That makes Phase 2 the more expensive half of the patch. Three featured 5-star Resonators and three featured weapons run at once.
Is Jingran Worth Pulling?
Pull if you want a Fusion Heavy Attack carry with genuine self-sufficiency, or if you enjoy stance-cycling combat that rewards clean execution. He is unusually sturdy for a main DPS thanks to his self-shields and HP scaling, and he works at S0 without dupes.
Think twice if you are saving for Hsin in Version 3.7, your roster lacks a reliable shielder, or you dislike high stat requirements. That 50,000 Max HP target is demanding, and an undergeared Jingran loses a lot of his kit's value.
One honest flag on his supports. Iuno was widely expected to rerun beside him and did not. If she is not already on your account, his best team is out of reach this patch.
Conclusion
Jingran is one of the more mechanically distinct carries in Wuthering Waves, and much of his build can be prepared before he arrives. Lamp of Nether Road is farmable now, Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis serves as both his main Echo and his ascension boss, and his shield-to-damage conversion rewards supports many accounts already own. Lock in the pieces you control, which means HP main stats rather than Fusion DMG Bonus, weekly boss clears, and a Broadblade that respects his HP scaling. Get to that 50,000 HP band and Jingran will run near full power on day one instead of a week late.
Pulling Jingran and his signature weapon takes a healthy stock of Astrite. Beyond clearing the new version's events, you can stock up fast with a secure Wuthering Waves Top Up before his banner goes live.
FAQs
When is the Jingran release date?
Phase 2 of Version 3.6, expected around September 10, 2026. Version 3.6 launches August 20, and Kuro Games has not confirmed the exact Phase 2 date. His Featured Convene is called Where Santu Beckons.
Is Jingran a Fusion character?
Yes. The Version 3.6 broadcast confirmed him as a 5-star Fusion Resonator wielding a Broadblade. He is the only male among the six Mengzhou Resonators.
What weapon does Jingran use?
A Broadblade. His splash art showed a stylized polearm, which caused months of confusion during the leak cycle, but Wuthering Waves uses only five weapon types and the broadcast settled it.
Does Jingran scale with HP?
Yes. His Forte Circuit converts Max HP into bonus ATK, and his Fortune in Disguise stacks convert Max HP into Fusion DMG Bonus. His DEF stays locked at a fixed value regardless of gear, so DEF stats do nothing for him at all.
How much Max HP does Jingran need?
Around 50,000. His HP scaling keeps paying out to roughly that point, and falling short costs noticeable damage. A 4-3-3-1-1 layout with two HP% 3-costs still needs about 31.6% extra HP% from substats to get there.
What main stats should I run on Jingran?
Crit Rate or Crit DMG on the 4-cost, and HP% on every other slot.Changed Do not run Fusion DMG Bonus on the 3-cost slots. Max HP feeds his ATK conversion, his damage bonus, his shield size, and his healing received, while Fusion DMG Bonus feeds only one of those.
What is the best Echo set for Jingran?
Lamp of Nether Road. The 2-piece gives 10% HP, and the 5-piece grants up to 20% Crit Rate plus 15% Fusion DMG Bonus while he holds shields. Pair it with Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis in the 4-cost slot. Farm it at the Western Fang Peaks Tacet Field in Mengzhou.
Is Jade Nether Serpent his main Echo?
No. Earlier datamines suggested it might be, but the broadcast confirmed the Jade Nether Serpent as a new enemy in Version 3.6.Corrected His main Echo is Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis, which also happens to be his ascension boss.
What is the best Jingran weapon?
Thousandfold Deliverance, his signature 5-star Broadblade with 413 base ATK and a 72.2% HP secondary stat. That HP stat alone carries a large chunk of his 50,000 target. Thunderflare Dominion and Verdant Summit are the strongest alternatives, with Aureate Zenith as a Battle Pass option.
How do I cast his Heavy Attacks?
Hold Resonance Skill at 300 Qi, not Basic Attack. From Yang Font that casts Stardome Meander and flips him to Yin Vessel. From Yin Vessel it casts Soul Raid and flips him back. Most Wuthering Waves Heavy Attacks come from holding Basic Attack, so this trips people up.
Why do teammate shields matter so much?
Ghost Shroud only builds from shields gained by other Resonators, never his own. His Intro Skill converts those points into Fortune in Disguise, worth up to 125% Fusion DMG Bonus at 50 stacks on a 50,000 HP build. That makes a shielding support his single largest damage multiplier rather than a comfort pick.
Who are the best teammates for Jingran?
Iuno and Shorekeeper if you own them. Iuno's Outro grants 50% Heavy Attack DMG for 14 seconds and she shields him, which feeds Ghost Shroud. Note that Iuno is not rerunning in Version 3.6.Corrected If you do not own her, run Shorekeeper with Lupa or Mornye instead.
Does his Resonance Liberation hurt him?
It cuts his HP to 50% of maximum if he is above that threshold, then grants 200 Qi, three Wayfarer's Mark stacks, and 15 seconds of Yinghuo. His self-shields and Max HP-scaled healing cover the gap, but a healer keeps the loop comfortable.
Which Resonance Chain should I stop at?
S0 is fully functional, since his whole stance cycle and shield conversion work without dupes. S2 is the meaningful spike, adding a 40% Heavy Attack multiplier and front-loading Qi and Ghost Shroud to fix his slow opening. S6 is the full-power build.
Is Jingran worth pulling?
He is a strong pull if you want a self-sufficient Fusion Heavy Attack carry and can reach the HP target. He works at S0 and shields himself, so he is unusually sturdy for a main DPS. Skip him if you are saving for Hsin in Version 3.7 or your roster lacks a shielder.
While you wait, claim active Wuthering Waves codes for free Astrite and run through an account checklist so you are ready. Stock up with a secure Wuthering Waves Top Up before his banner, and Jingran will run near full power on day one instead of a week late.
