Kingshot Hero Tier List July 2026: All Heroes Ranked
Shehla Hashim
This Kingshot Hero Tier List ranks every hero currently in the game, all 34 of them across 7 generations, from the free Day 2 starters up through the newest Gen 7 Legendaries. Heroes here aren't ranked on stats alone. Widgets, acquisition method, and role fit decide far more of a hero's long-term value than raw numbers do, which is why you'll see the same hero rated differently depending on whether you're building for Rally, Garrison, or Bear Hunt.
Quick Answer
Vivian, Amadeus, and Petra are the strongest overall heroes right now. Jabel is the best free starter, Zoe is the best long-term F2P Garrison tank, and Yang is the most accessible high-value Gen 6 hero. Gen 7 heroes (Ava, Charles, Wee & Woo) are the new ceiling on older servers. Focus resources on 5-7 core heroes instead of spreading thin across the full roster.
How Heroes Work in Kingshot
Heroes are the core of your power in Kingshot. They're divided into Generations, unlocked roughly every 80 days on a server, with each new generation carrying about 20% higher base stats than the one before it. There are three main classes: Infantry, Cavalry, and Archer.
Every hero has three main roles: Rally (attacking and leading rallies), Garrison (defending your city), and Bear Hunt (hosting or joining as a damage contributor). Widgets often define a hero's long-term value more than raw stats do. Amadeus is the clearest example, since he holds the only offensive Infantry widget in the game.
Heroes are upgraded through stars using hero-specific or universal shards. Hitting 4 stars is a major power spike that unlocks a hero's full skill kit, and 5 stars is the practical endgame ceiling. Gear and skill leveling matter just as much as star count.
Some heroes are genuinely F2P-friendly through free sign-in rewards or Hero Roulette with gems. Others sit behind VIP packs, specific shops, or event-only windows.
How This Kingshot Hero Tier List Is Ranked
Heroes here are ranked using six criteria, based on the current July 2026 meta:
Overall meta impact and longevity across generations
Role versatility across Rally, Garrison, and Bear Hunt
F2P accessibility and how easy a hero is to acquire
Scalability with stars, widgets, and gear
Team synergy and event performance in Arena, KvK, and Conquest
Investment efficiency, meaning value returned per shard or gem spent
The strongest heroes in Kingshot right now combine raw power, synergy with the infantry-cavalry-archer triangle, valuable expedition widgets, and staying power as new generations arrive. Newer heroes generally scale better, yet several Gen 1 standouts from the Kingshot tier list remain meta-defining because of unique offensive or utility kits that newer releases haven’t fully replaced.
Kingshot Hero Tier List — Quick Summary (All 34 Heroes)
Kingshot's roster spans 34 heroes across 7 generations, but only a handful genuinely define the current meta. This tier list ranks every hero by long-term investment value, not just raw stats at pull time.

Vivian, Amadeus, and Petra dominate because they solve the game's three biggest problems: army-wide damage scaling, permanent rally infrastructure, and F2P-accessible carry potential. Notice how heavily role-dependent everything below S+ becomes, a hero's tier means little without knowing whether you're building Rally, Garrison, or a Bear Hunt joiner.
All Kingshot S+ Tier Heroes Ranked
These ten heroes solve Kingshot's biggest problems better than anything else in the game right now: army-wide amps, permanent widgets, and F2P-viable rally cores. If your shards are limited, these are the only heroes worth prioritising first.
1. Vivian
★ S+ Tier — Meta-Defining ★
Vivian
Vivian
Tier
S+ — Best Overall Damage Amp

Best Role
Rally S+, Bear Hunt Joiner S+
Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Vivian's Crouching Tiger is a permanent 25% army-wide damage amplifier, and it stacks multiplicatively with every other damage source you're already running. That single effect belongs in every offensive rally you lead, making her the highest-impact damage support in the current meta rather than just another Archer DPS.
She scales cleanly with stars and widget investment, and she's a top priority whether you're grinding F2P through Hero Roulette shards or spending directly through the Hall of Heroes. Her ceiling in Rally and Bear Hunt is among the highest in the game, though she contributes little to pure Garrison defense.
Pros:
Army-wide 25% damage amp stacks with everything else you run
Strong in both Rally leadership and Bear Hunt joining
Excellent long-term investment that scales with stars
Cons:
Gen 5 hero, not available on very new servers
Requires real shard investment before the amp fully shines
Weak contribution to pure Garrison defense
2. Amadeus

Best Role
Rally S, Bear Hunt Joiner S+
Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Amadeus carries the only offensive Infantry widget in the game, and that single fact keeps him meta for five to six generations straight while nearly every other Gen 1 hero fades. His first Expedition skill grants a flat +25% Lethality, no proc, no RNG, which makes him one of the cleanest Bear Hunt joiners available at any server age.
The catch is acquisition. He's locked behind VIP 7+ and milestone purchases rather than Hero Roulette, so pure F2P players may never obtain him directly. If you can get him through any means, building him is almost never a wasted investment.
Pros:
✅ Unique widget that never gets fully replaced
✅ Flat, non-proc Lethality buff, one of the best Bear Hunt joiners in the game
✅ Strong even at lower star counts
Cons:
❌ Not obtainable through F2P-friendly channels
❌ Average Garrison performance despite his offensive strength

Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Petra was the first hero to bring a Cavalry rally attack widget into the game, and her Change of Fate skill can roll anywhere from 5% up to a massive 600% of Attack on a single hit. That randomness is exactly what makes her fun to build, four Petras stacked together turn into a genuine RNG lottery where the high rolls carry entire rallies.
Best of all, she's fully obtainable through Hero Roulette, making her the most accessible S+ Cavalry option for players who aren't spending real money.
Pros:
✅ High carry potential when her skill rolls big
✅ Genuine F2P acquisition path via Hero Roulette
✅ First strong Cavalry rally widget in the game
Cons:
❌ RNG-dependent, low rolls feel bad
❌ Weak Garrison performance

Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Marlin pairs strong AoE damage with a stun, and that combination performs well across nearly every mode the game offers, Arena, Expedition, and standard rallies alike. He's one of the most well-rounded heroes in the roster, and even a 3-star Marlin still outclasses many higher-star Epic alternatives.
He remains a strong pick well into the mid-game and rarely feels like a wasted investment, even as newer generations roll out.
Pros:
✅ Strong AoE plus stun combination
✅ Performs well across Arena, Expedition, and rallies
✅ Strong even at low star counts
Cons:
❌ First Expedition skill is chance-based, weak Bear Hunt joiner
❌ Weak Garrison performance

Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Jabel is completely free, unlocked through Day 2 sign-in, and she's strong enough to carry your account through the earliest generations without a single gem spent. Her AoE damage and defensive buffs make her the best starting Garrison anchor in the game.
She remains genuinely useful through roughly Gen 4, at which point stronger Garrison options start to overtake her. Every F2P account should have her maxed early.
Pros:
✅ Completely free, day 2 of any account
✅ Carries early-to-mid game Garrison duty alone
✅ Strong AoE and defensive buffs
Cons:
❌ Falls off past roughly Gen 4
❌ Weak Rally contribution

Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Zoe's Agony Rush triggers automatically once her HP drops below 50%, healing her for 40% of her maximum HP once per battle. That single mechanic makes her the single best long-term F2P Garrison tank in the game, and she stays relevant deep into mid-game, roughly through Gen 5, longer than almost any other Gen 2 hero.
She's fully obtainable through Hero Roulette, making her the #1 investment priority for any F2P account after Jabel.
Pros:
✅ Automatic 40% max HP heal once per battle
✅ Best long-term F2P Garrison tank in the game
✅ Fully obtainable via Hero Roulette
Cons:
❌ Weak Rally contribution
❌ Heal only triggers once per battle

Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Yang carries the highest base ATK of any Gen 6 hero at 7,200, and his Ambush skill is the only direct rally Lethality buff in the entire generation. Unlike most top-tier heroes, he's genuinely accessible through standard events rather than premium shops, making him the single best Gen 6 pickup for F2P and low-spend accounts alike.
If your server has hit Gen 6, prioritizing Yang before anything else in that generation is almost always the correct call.
Pros:
✅ Highest base ATK in Gen 6
✅ Only direct rally Lethality buff in the generation
✅ Very F2P-friendly acquisition
Cons:
❌ Weak Garrison performance
❌ Lethality buff sits on a later skill, not the first, so weak Bear Hunt joiner

Triton brings a complete frontline kit, a 2-second invulnerability window through Tidewill, plus significant Expedition team buffs to Defense, Health, and skill damage. He's the top Gen 6 Garrison defender, though without an offensive widget his Rally output stays more supportive than carry-level.
Any account building an alliance defense core at Gen 6 should treat him as a near-mandatory pickup.
Pros:
✅ Top Gen 6 Garrison defender
✅ 2-second invulnerability plus strong team buffs
✅ Complete frontline utility kit
Cons:
❌ No offensive widget, weaker as a Rally carry
❌ Premium-locked acquisition

Rally S (replaces Petra as Cavalry lead), Garrison A
Combat Role & Core Evaluation
Thrud is where Cavalry rally leadership graduates from Petra. Her Ancestral Guidance cycles between boosting team damage dealt and cutting damage taken by 25%, giving her real team-wide value rather than just personal damage output.
Her Arena performance is strong too, thanks to her AoE effects, and she's a natural addition for anyone building a dedicated Cavalry march past the Gen 5 threshold.
Pros:
✅ Team-wide damage amp cycling with damage reduction
✅ Strong Arena performance via AoE
✅ Solid team synergy for Cavalry marches
Cons:
❌ Ceiling sits below Vivian in raw impact
❌ First Expedition skill is a damage proc, weak Bear Hunt joiner

Sophia brings genuine crowd control through Confusion and Terror debuffs, paired with 140% AoE damage from her Puppet Master skill. That mix of control and damage makes her a strong Arena frontline pick as well as a reliable Gen 6 Cavalry option for both Rally and Garrison duty.
She's fully accessible through Hero Roulette, making her one of the easier S+ Gen 6 heroes to actually acquire without spending.
Pros:
✅ Confusion and Terror debuffs plus strong AoE
✅ Obtainable through Hero Roulette
✅ Balanced performance across Rally and Garrison
Cons:
❌ Less specialized than a pure damage or pure tank hero
❌ Weak Bear Hunt joiner

One tier below S+, but don't read that as "skip these." Several S-tier heroes, Margot and Ava specifically, are genuinely S+ in their best role even though their overall rating sits a notch lower.

Alcar's defender widget and Expedition sustain tools make him a reliable bridge hero for Garrison duty right at Gen 4. He peaks hard at his own generation and settles into strong-A territory once Gen 5 Infantry options arrive, still worth building if that's your current window.

Ava's Color Storm widget grants +15% Rally Squad Lethality, and her Expedition kit stacks multiple offensive effects including an Enemy Defense Down skill, making her a genuine S+ Bear Hunt joiner as well as the cleanest Gen 7 Cavalry rally lead. She's not on Hero Roulette, so pure F2P accounts will need Wee & Woo instead.

Charles is a pure defensive anchor: enemy Lethality reduction, damage-taken reduction, self-heal, and a Health-boosting widget all stacked into one kit. If your alliance role is defense, he's the clearest Gen 7 pickup, though his event-only acquisition makes him harder to grab quickly than Wee & Woo.

Wee & Woo is the only Gen 7 hero available through Hero Roulette, making them the default F2P priority once your server unlocks the generation. Their Artillermen first skill grants both squad Attack and Lethality at once, a clean, non-chance Bear Hunt joiner buff, while the defender-type widget also makes them a strong Garrison pick.

Why this ranking: Amadeus stays the rally king for years because of his widget, while Petra and Marlin cover Cavalry and Archer, respectively. Newer generations, Vivian, Yang, Ava, and Sophia, scale better once your server catches up, and Gen 7 heroes will dominate this row entirely on older servers once fully built.

Why this ranking: Zoe's heal makes her irreplaceable for F2P defense across multiple generations, and Jabel and Hilde both double as strong joiners too. Notice Amadeus, Petra, and Marlin drop down here; their strength is entirely offensive, so they contribute little behind the walls.
Best Kingshot Heroes for Bear Hunt (Host & Joiner Tier List)
Bear Hunt splits into two very different jobs. Hosts lead the rally and need a full kit, while joiners only have their first Expedition skill read by the game; nothing else about them matters for this role.
Best Hosts: Rosa is the go-to Gen 4 host thanks to her Archer Attack buff and Lethality widget together. At higher generations, host with whichever attack-widget lead you have available, Amadeus or Helga for Infantry, Vivian, Yang, or Ava for offense-focused leads.

Best Kingshot Heroes for Beginners
Start with Jabel, free from Day 2 and strong immediately. Pair her with Zoe from Hero Roulette for defense, then add Marlin as your ranged carry once available. That three-hero core, Jabel, Zoe, and Marlin, is the classic F2P starting lineup, and Petra slots in naturally once your server reaches Gen 3.
Focus resources on exactly 3 heroes at first, not more. Spreading shards across five or six heroes early just delays every single one of them from becoming useful.
🌱 Beginner Starter Core 🌱
1. Jabel
2. Zoe
3. Marlin
4. Petra (Gen 3+)
Investment Priority by Player Type
F2P Priority Path (No Spending): Zoe first, max her stars before anything else. Then Jabel is your free secondary defender. Passively collect Chenko, Amane, and Yeonwoo as they appear; they're excellent Bear Hunt joiners that cost nothing extra. Add Marlin as your ranged carry, then Petra once Gen 3 unlocks. Save gems almost exclusively for Hero Roulette, the only reliable F2P path to Mythic heroes. At Gen 7, Wee & Woo is your target since it's the only Gen 7 hero on Roulette.
Low Spender Path: Same core as F2P, then buy packs specifically for missing key Legendaries like Vivian or a strong Gen 6/7 hero, plus extra shards to push star breakpoints faster. Prioritize building one complete Rally team and one complete Garrison team rather than spreading spend thin across many heroes.
Heavy Spender Path: Build a full Rally core around Petra, Vivian, Yang, and Ava across your different march types. Build a Garrison core around Zoe, Eric, Alcar, and Charles once Gen 7 unlocks. Stack the full S+ Bear Hunt joiner pool: Chenko, Amadeus, Yeonwoo, Amane, Margot, Vivian, Wee & Woo, and Ava. Rush Gen 7 heroes the moment your server hits roughly Day 449, and build separate specialized teams for Arena, rallies, and Bear Hunt rather than one generalist roster.
Kingshot Heroes FAQ
Who is the best hero in Kingshot? There isn't one single best hero; it depends on your server generation and role. Vivian currently offers the highest overall impact through her army-wide damage amp. Amadeus remains the best long-term Rally staple thanks to his unique widget, and Gen 7 heroes are the new ceiling on older servers.
Which hero should beginners choose? Jabel, completely free via Day 2 sign-in and is strong immediately. Follow with Zoe via Hero Roulette, then Marlin once available.
Which hero is best for PvP? For large-scale KvK and Conquest, prioritize Rally leaders: Vivian, Amadeus, Petra, Yang, Thrud. For smaller Arena fights, burst and control heroes like Rosa, Marlin, and Margot perform better.
Is Hero X worth upgrading? S+ and S-tier heroes are generally worth a significant investment, especially if they match your main role. B-tier and below are only worth minimal early investment; plan to replace them as soon as a stronger option is available.
Which legendary hero should I unlock first? Start with Jabel since she's free. Then target Zoe or Petra through Hero Roulette. For Gen 7 specifically, Wee & Woo is the most accessible option for F2P accounts.
What is the strongest F2P hero? Zoe for long-term Garrison sustain, and Jabel for immediate free power. Yang is an excellent F2P value once your server hits Gen 6, and Chenko remains one of the best budget Bear Hunt joiners at any server age.
Conclusion
And that is it. Remember that the current gameplay stat rewards focused investment in synergistic S-tier heroes while using lower-tier options only as temporary bridges. Pay close attention to your server’s generation timeline so you know when to pivot resources. Strong hero choices directly translate into faster event clears, better rally performance, and more efficient resource gathering.
To accelerate your hero progression and secure crucial shards or speedups without excessive grinding for the A tiers, try using U7BUY. It has the best Kingshot Top Up services that you can have for more gameplay progression.
