Trainers, turn your caps backwards and charge your power banks. The moment we have been spamming Niantic on X for years is finally here.
The "Tales of Transformation" season is reaching its absolute climax, and Niantic isn't letting it go out with a whimper. They are dropping the hammer—or should it be better to say, the sword. Starting today, we aren't just getting a boring event filler; we are getting one of the rarest Shinies in the entire franchise.
But as with all things in the world of mobile gaming, there is a catch (pun intended). Is it behind a paywall? Yes. Is it going to take a massive grind? Absolutely. Is it worth it for that sweet, teal-green Mythical flex in your Home Dex? Let’s break it down.

The Main Event: Pokémon GO Final Justice
36 storyline.
- Start Time: Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Local Time.
- End Time: Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Local Time.
You are just going to have about five days to enjoy the bonuses; however, the content that you are going to see in this place will be with you a long time beyond that. The Fighting-types are much more prominent in this event, and therefore, in case you still need a good raid team to defeat Dark or Steel types, then this is the week to grind.
The Holy Grail: Shiny Keldeo in New Pokémon GO
Let’s rip the bandage off immediately. You cannot catch Shiny Keldeo in the wild. You cannot find it in Raids.
To get Shiny Keldeo Pokémon GO, you have to purchase the Masterwork Research Ticket with Pokecoins.
We have seen this mechanic before with Shiny Mew and Shiny Jirachi. It is a premium experience designed for hardcore collectors. The ticket went live globally on November 25, and it costs US$7.99 (or your local equivalent).
The "Pay-to-Shiny" Debate: A Gamer’s Take. Look, we know nobody likes microtransactions. We all wish we could just stumble upon a Shiny Mythical while walking to the bodega. But let’s look at the value proposition here.
This isn't a "loot box" where you might get the Pokémon. It is a guaranteed encounter.
When you buy the ticket, you unlock a Masterwork Research line. For the uninitiated, "Masterwork" is Niantic's code for "This is going to take you months."These are particularly lengthy and tedious quests. They tend to include such projects as Catch 1,000 Pokémon, Spin stops 30 days in a row, or Level 40.
The Good News: The ticket does not expire. Once you buy it before November 30, it is yours
Enter the Resolute Form: A New Challenger Approaches

Even if you don't drop the cash for the Shiny, free-to-play players are still eating well this week. The "Final Justice" event finally unlocks the ability to change your existing Keldeo into its Resolute Form.
This is tied to the free "Tales of Transformation" Special Research we’ve been chipping away at all season.
How to Change Form:
- Complete the Special Research.
- Go to your Keldeo’s summary screen.
- Hit the "Change Form" button.
- Cost: 50 Keldeo Candy and 10,000 Stardust.
Pro Tip: If you are short on Keldeo Candy (because who isn't?), this event is your savior. The Rare Candies are going to be essential, but Niantic has also confirmed that Keldeo Candy will be available via specific Field Research tasks during the event. Do not delete those tasks!
The Power of the Sword: When Keldeo evolves into Resolute Form, it acquires its signature Charged Attack: Secret Sword.
We examined the figures, and this is a man-eater of a move.
- Trainer Battles (PvP): 70 Power.
- Raids and Gyms (PvE): 120 Power.
In the case of Raids, this makes Keldeo a legal Fighting-type attacker. It hits hard. In the case of PvP, 70 power is a good number, though Fighting-types will most likely be risky in the Master League given the dominance of Mewtwo and Fairy types. Tactical flexibility, however, comes with the ability to change forms. Besides, the Resolute Form is more stylish with that huge horn. Rule of Cool always wins.
Wild Spawns: The Dojo is Open
While you are grinding out your Masterwork Research for Shiny Keldeo Pokémon GO, the wild spawns are going to be flooded with fighting spirits.
The Hitmon-trio is taking over:
- Hitmonlee (Shiny boosted!)
- Hitmonchan (Shiny boosted!)
- Hitmontop (Shiny boosted!)
This is actually a massive deal. Hitmontop, in particular, is usually a pain to get because of the Tyrogue evolution stat mechanic. Seeing them in the wild with an increased Shiny chance is rare. If you are missing that purple spinning top for your shiny dex, now is the time to hunt.
Rare Spawns to Watch For:
- Hisuian Sneasel: This is a fan favorite. The shiny is distinct, and Sneasler is a very useful Fighting/Poison type in the Ultra League.
- Crabrawler: The punching crab. Evolving this into Crabominable is great for XP, and the shiny is a nice red/orange variation.
Pokemon Go Raids and Bonuses: Maximize Your Gains

Niantic is throwing us a bone with the bonuses this time.
The "Grind" Bonus: You get two extra free Raid Passes per day by spinning Gym Photo Discs. This is huge. If you play every day of the event (Nov 25-30), that is a lot of free raids. Use these passes! Do not let them go to waste. Even if you just solo a 1-star raid for the XP and the Golden Razz Berry, it’s worth it.
Raid Boss Rotation:
- 1-Star: Machop, Timburr, Pancham (And get grindin the Timburr raids, still you do not have a hundo Conkeldurr. It is one of the best non-legendary fighters in the game.
- 3-Star: Galarian Farfetch’d, Throh, Sawk.
- Note: Throh and Sawk are usually regional exclusives. Having them both in raids globally is a great chance to fill that regional gap in your Pokédex if you haven't traveled lately.
The Strategy: How to Play This Event
Okay, so you have the data. How do you actually tackle this week to get the most out of it? Here is my gamer game plan:
- Buy the Ticket Early (If you want it): Don't wait until Sunday. The earlier you buy the Masterwork ticket, the earlier you start tracking your progress. Some tasks might be "Catch X Fighting Types," and you want to do that while the Hitmons are spawning everywhere.
- Focus on Field Research: Spin every stop you see. You are looking for tasks that reward Keldeo Candy. This is the rarest resource in the game right now. You need 50 to change form, and you’ll want more to power up that Shiny Keldeo once you finally catch it.
- Use Your Daily Free Passes on Galarian Farfetch’d: Why? Because catching a high-IV Sirfetch’d is great for PvP, and the shiny is glorious. Plus, it saves your premium passes for the big legendary raids.
Buddy Up: If you didn't buy the ticket but want the Resolute Form, and you have zero candy, set Keldeo as your buddy now. It’s a 20km walk for a candy (Mythical tier), so get your walking shoes on.
