If C, N, or D_floor is unknown, the correct output is not enough information. Do not replace an unknown with the most optimistic public table. That would turn a route estimate into a false guarantee.
The conservative box-floor formula
Use this worksheet when the event tab gives you a defensible lower reward for each remaining reset:

floor() means round down. A total of 239 Shells with a 120-Shell box cost pays for one opening, not two. If you already have enough Shells for one box, the formula still counts that opening; the O field is used separately to check whether the target milestone is reachable.
Illustrative example, not a live account result
Suppose the client shows S = 180 Shells, C = 120, and you can confirm N = 5 future reset windows. If the lower task outcome you are willing to count is D_floor = 30 Shells per reset and no bonus is visible (B_floor = 0), then:

Add a variable range only when the inputs are visible

This separation prevents a common MM2 mistake: treating a milestone as a guaranteed Godly path. Icecream and Chroma Icecream remain chance-based item outcomes in public coverage, while the milestone rewards are a separate progress track. A calculator can tell you whether you can reach the checkpoint; it cannot turn the checkpoint into an Icecream guarantee.
Read the result as a route, not a prediction
