Neverness to Everness Best Team Comps for Launch 2026

Neverness to Everness launches worldwide on 29 April, it is perfectly clear that your Neverness to Everness Team is a reaction-lane or die, rather than a raw-stat one. This guide will discuss all the meta team compositions: The Esper Cycle , tested bossing, AoE farming, and F2P progression comps, and the pro tips for clean rotations and meter wasted.

NTE Esper Cycle: Six Elements & Reactions Explained

Before touching any team build, understand the Esper Cycle first. It is a circle of six elements: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Chaos, Psyche, and Lakshana. The nearest pairs only react, and you can also create a trio by either combining the three top elements (Lakshana, Cosmos, Anima) or the three bottom elements (Incantation, Chaos, Psyche).

Reactions trigger only when swapping to a character with an empty Esper Meter mid-fight. While normal attacks fill the meter, Parrying is the fastest "free" source—a mechanic most players underestimate. Other Espers, like the Main Character, reach 100 Cycle Rate via near-instant skill fills. Strategy: Build around your slowest meter-builder and use it to absorb parries.

All six Duo Reactions:

Neverness to Everness Team
ReactionElementsEffect
BlossomCosmos + AnimaSplits out a self-directed turret which inflicts AoE.
RemoraLakshana + CosmosCripples the enemy, retards speed and charge.
HexedAnima + IncantationBurst damage depending on recent elemental damage sustained.
ScorchIncantation + ChaosDamage-over-time 15-second on target.
NovaChaos + PsycheDelayed damage to Cognito following 5 seconds delay.
StainPsyche + LakshanaTarget suffers 50% more Psyche and Lakshana damage over 12 seconds.

Two Trio Reactions offer the biggest payoffs: Charge (Blossom + Remora) generates massive Ultimate energy, while Discord (Nova + Scorch) shreds the enemy's Break Meter. Discord is vital—it bridges reaction planning with your stagger plan. Since stagger windows are your primary damage window, executing Discord efficiently ensures bosses fall before they can recover.

The Golden Rule: Build around two or three-step reaction lanes first, then use the fourth slot to fill gaps. Avoid "rainbow teams" of mismatched elements; they waste meter and lack reaction pressure.

Best Boss Killer Team: Discord Execution Squad

Neverness to Everness Team

Best for: Endgame bosses, high-difficulty Anomalies, Beyond the Rails.

CharacterElementRole
DaffodilChaosMain DPS / Break Queen
AdlerIncantationShield Support / Scorch Setup
FadiaPsycheImmortal Tank / Nova Amplifier
NanallyAnimaOff-field Sub-DPS / Crit Buffer

This team focuses on multi-layered reaction stacking. Adler’s Incantation fuses with Daffodil’s Chaos to trigger Scorch, while Fadia and Daffodil empower Nova. When Scorch and Nova overlap, Discord shreds break bars.

Neverness to Everness Best Team Comps for Launch 2026

Key Buffs: Adler adds random debuffs (-20% ATK, -10% Esper Res, or +10% Break), and Daffodil’s passive reduces the target's break cap by 20% over 30 seconds, and is also additive.

Team Strength Analysis:This lineup is a typical combination of one main DPS, one sub DPS, and two supports. After practical testing,it has very strong survivability and can adapt to high-pressure environments. You can use this team to deal with a large number of enemies.

Rotation:

  1. Adler: Deploy Incantation field.
  2. Daffodil: Swap in to trigger Scorch.
  3. Fadia: Apply Nova mark
  4. Trigger Discord: Shred the break bar for a stagger window.
  5. Unload: Fire all Ultimates, then loop.

Swaps: Replace F2P Edgar (healer) in the early game. Priority pull order: First to Daffodil, then Nanally, and then, as funds permit, Adler or Fadia. If you don‘t have too much pressure, you can use Sakiri to replace Adler to further enhance the team's output capability

Arc Focus:

  • Daffodil (Chaos DMG/Ignore)
  • Adler (DEF/Shield)
  • Fadia (HP/Absorption).

Top AoE Farming Team: Blossom God Squad

Neverness to Everness Best Team Comps for Launch 2026

Best for: Wave clears, daily farming, mob-heavy Beyond the Rails modes.

CharacterElementRole
NanallyAnimaSustained DPS / Blossom Amplifier
Zero / MCCosmosBlossom Enabler / Instant Meter
SakiriIncantationCC + Buffer
JiuyuanFlexAoE Grouper / Extra Blossom

This build centers on Blossom spam. Nanally augments attack frequency, while Jiuyuan raises the Blossom limit to six. Stacked with Mint’s AoE buffs, these "Blossom turrets" automate wave clearing.

The Payoff: The Charge Trio (Blossom + Remora) generates massive Ultimate Energy for Nanally, ensuring near-permanent uptime for crit-buffed sustained damage.

Team Strength Analysis:After testing all kinds of Nanally's team, this team can be called the graduation of Nanally, you can use this team to handle situations in different environments relaxedly.

Rotation:

  1. Sakiri: Group enemies with CC
  2. Zero/MC: Swap in to activate Blossom
  3. Nanally: Deploy sustained follow-up attacks.
  4. Jiuyuan: Group remaining enemies and deploy additional Blossoms.
  5. Keep hits alive; leave Blossom window alone with no single target.

Why this clears faster: Blossom keeps (autonomously) trading AoE when you are in the middle of an animation of another character. Moreover, the ultimate energy production of Charge allows you to cycle big finishers in the interval of few seconds instead of 30 seconds.

F2P Progression Team: Early-Game Solid Core

Neverness to Everness Team

Best for: Story content, early-to-mid game, zero-gacha budget.

CharacterElementRole
Chiz or ZeroCosmosMain DPS
AdlerIncantationUniversal Shields
MintAnimaBurst DPS / Blossom AoE amp
SkiaLakshanaConsistent DPS / Remora control

Zero is a premier F2P carry, offering 200% ATK and 75% DEF ignore on her first swing. This comp prioritizes Blossom and Remora with a heavy survivability pad. Adler’s shields enable aggressive rotations, while Skia’s Remora slows enemies to ensure clean reaction windows. Nothing here is in need of high quality draws.

Team Strength Analysis:This team has very low development costs. After experiencing the game, this team can cope with early-stage mission requirements. You can use it for transition before you have strong character.

Upgrade Path: Pull for Daffodil to unlock Discord potential, eventually transitioning this core into Team 1 or 2.

Pro Tip: If you want to start the game with a T0 character like Nanally for free, follow our NTE reroll guide to optimize your early-game account.

Advanced Meta: Specialist Elemental Teams

Neverness to Everness Team

Haniel (Universal Buffer): An MVP flex unit for almost any comp.

Advanced Discord Core: Baicang (DPS) + Daffodil (Support) + Haniel (Flex). Baicang’s Power Word double-stacks Scorch, while Haniel buffs Nova for massive Discord procs.

Advanced Charge Core: Skia + Zero + Nanally + Haniel. This setup maximizes Blossom pressure and Ultimate spam, making it more forgiving for players still mastering swap timings.

Psyche specialist: Save resources until additional Psyche units come. The Psyche and Lakshana damage vulnerability of the Stain reaction is a powerful one, but is not supported well during the start of the game.

Essential Team Building Rules

General Team Comps:

Main DPS + Sub DPS + 2 Supports.

Main DPS + 3 Supports (If damage is sufficient)

Common Pitfalls: Using "rainbow teams" without reactions, wasting Ultimates outside of stagger windows, and neglecting Arc investment for your Main DPS.

The 4th Slot: Must solve a specific problem (Shields for survival, High Cycle-Rate for speed). Never pick a character based solely on rarity.

Meta FAQs

Should Nanally be dragged over to NTE?

Yes, consistently. Nanally is in T0 at launch with her off-field follow-up amplification to be the most powerful DPS and fits in both Blossom and mixed Anima lanes.

The relevance of reactions during this Neverness to Everness Team build meta?

Unless your comp shows consistent reactions, it will not scale. The majority of launch players are losing, not due to the statistical aspect, but due to a poor team composition.

Are Discord or Charge more devastating?

Different jobs. Bar broke do discord shreds. Charge creates Ultimate energy that is crucial to clear, long-lived waves. High-end teams leverage both reactions to maintain total battlefield control.
