NTE launches April 29 and removes the 50/50 mechanic entirely. You are guaranteed the featured S-class in 90 pulls, no chance of losing to standard units, no reset frustration. Two launch characters introduced in separate phases: Nanally, controls electromagnetism and waves, and Hotori, stops time and ends fights on her terms. Both are strong, but only one will define your early-game meta. We have analyzed their full kits and NTE 1.0 banner efficiency to bring you the definitive NTE 1.0 pull strategy—so you know exactly whether to pull Nanally or Hotori and how to manage your Riftcrystals for the strongest start.
NTE 1.0 Banner Guide: Nanally vs Hotori, Who Should You Pull?

NTE Gacha System Explained
This game has a different gacha system than normal: it is a "rolling" and moving board game style system called Scarborough Fair. Those tiles provide you with rewards: characters, arcs, currencies etc.
Compared to traditional gacha systems, NTE gacha system is more predictable and allows better planning. Here is what the system guarantees:
- Guaranteed one featured S-class by roll 90
- Guaranteed 1 extra A-class character or A-class Arc every 10 rolls
- 70 rolls without an S-class leads to a higher chance
- Pity is carried over across ALL banners (no phase reset)
- No 50/50 mechanic for getting an S-class on Limited Boards, you will get the featured unit
The Standard Board is always on with six set S class characters and uses Fabricated Dice. It provides a 20% discount for your first five 10-pulls. At 50 pulls, you are offered the option to choose an S-class character, one-time only.
Key point: Don't use your S-class selector. Instead, roll 50 discounted pulls on the Standard Board, then roll the Limited Banner of your choice. You can use the selector later to obtain any elemental and/or role-type you don't have yet.
Neverness to Everness 1.0 Banner Schedule

| Phase | Duration | Character | Faction | Role |
| Phase 1 | Apr 29 May 13 | Nanally | Anima / Plasma | Control DPS |
| Phase 2 | May 13 Jun 3 | Hotori | Cosmos / Solid | Burst DPS |
During Phase 1, there will be bonuses for the launch celebration and you can additionally roll for Nanally clothing, car livery, and glider skin. These can be transferred from the Fair Exchange shop if you don't roll them.
Nanally Banner Analysis (Phase 1)

The Ichi-daime | Anima | Control DPS | April 29 – May 13
Nanally uses electromagnetic power. Her Redirect Skill puts her in the "Itch-daime's Authority" state - and in this state, she can walk on a sloped surface, even ceilings, with electromagnetic adhesion. Her Ultimate unleashes an Underboss to increase her AoE. She does not destroy waves in the blink of an eye, she will pin them down and then eliminate them. Safe, consistent and very satisfying in raiding
Best For
- F2P and middle-spenders looking for starting day multi-target clears
- Those who love "controller" gameplay
- E0 she's ready to go on new accounts
Pro tips: To secure Nanally on her limited board, you'll need plenty of Solid Dice. The most efficient way to get Solid Dice is NTE top up at U7BUY, where you can grab Riftcrystals at a better rate to ensure you never run out of pulls.
Skip:
- If you're looking for Blitzkrieg 1-shot kills and instant screen wipes, she's not for you
- Slightly worse performance in boss speedrun races
- Not for you if you want more time/twist-the-knife Based gameplay
Cheap, consistent, and strong in both mobbing and in team fights. Her Arc will make her Anima damage better, but it's not required to feel strong.
Field control and electro-fusion are viable for new structured gameplay. She isn't going to be phased out by new content; her utility will remain.
Pull Nanally if you are looking for a consistent main DPS who can be easily and effectively used on your first pull. The only reason to pull her is if you Know you are a player that likes burst damage and would benefit more from pulling Hotori.
Hotori Banner Analysis (Phase 2)

Misty Tipsy Style | Cosmos | Burst DPS | May 13 – June 3
Hotori is a time-manipulation burst DPS. After activating her skill, Hotori can freeze time, even during open-world exploration. As her Timepiece fills up, she unleashes her Ultimate, builds Momentum through attacks, and finishes with a massive Cosmos damage burst before time resumes.
Top Pick for:
- Hardcore/whale gamers who like high-skill, timing-based gameplay with massive burst payoff
- Damage dealers, her time-stop excels at boss fights with burst windows
- Players who already have strong supports and want the biggest carry
Avoid:
- Not ideal for AoE farming or mob clearing, she's not as good at sustained damage
- Requires higher investment and proper team support to perform consistently
- Not for beginners, the timing window can be unforgiving
High ceiling, but also high investment cost. At E0 with solid supports, she is excellent. Without proper investment, she may feel weaker than Nanally in early-game content. Time magic remains broken with complex content. She will always be usable and will probably become more necessary with advanced content.
If you already have a solid roster, understand her timing mechanics, and want the highest burst damage potential at launch, Hotori is worth pulling in Phase 2. For most players, especially F2P, Nanally is still the safer and more efficient choice for early progression.
Nanally vs Hotori – Who Should You Pull?
| Factor | Nanally | Hotori |
| Playstyle | Field control, sustained AoE | Time-stop, burst windows |
| Investment floor | Low strong at E0 | Higher needs supports |
| Content strength | Mobbing, structured fights | Boss races, burst windows |
| F2P viability | Excellent | Moderate |
| Fun factor | Stable, consistent satisfaction | High-skill, high-reward |
| Future-proofing | Strong | Exceptional |
Nanally wins for 90% of players on day one. Hotori wins for players who specifically came to NTE for the time-manipulation fantasy and know for certain that they will go vertical. Don't pull both unless you can be sure your target is reached after 470+ free pulls. If you haven't get a suitable character, you can follow our reroll guide to reset your account fast.
Best Free S-Class Selector Choice

You can choose one standard S-class character after 50 pulls on the Standard Board. The Choices are Sakiri, Hathor, Fadia, Daffodil, Jiuyuan and Baicang.
Most players should choose Daffodil. Well-rounded kit, high scaling, versatile in team building, and has low role lock. Gaps that do not depend on the team.
| Character | Pick If |
| Daffodil | Your team specifically lacks her role, and you know exactly why |
| Sakiri | Your team specifically lacks her role and you know exactly why |
| Hathor | You have confirmed synergy with your limited character |
| Baicang / Fadia / Jiuyuan | You already have Daffodil or know your exact team composition |
Don't use the selector until you've seen the results of your limited banner pulls. Complete the selector's hole. Do not fill in holes before they are known.

NTE 1.0 Banner Pull Strategy
| Account Type | Action |
| F2P | Claim all freebies → 50 discounted Standard pulls → all-in on Nanally → selector to fill gap |
| Low-spender | Nanally E0 + her Arc → evaluate Hotori resources after Phase 1 ends |
| Mid-spender | Nanally E0S1 → Hotori E0 if resources allow |
| Whale | Both E0 → vertical on preferred character Phase 2 |
Do not split Solid Dice between both limited banners unless you have confirmed 160+ pulls saved. The no-50/50 system means you can plan, but 90 pulls per character is still 90 pulls. Pick your lane before Phase 1 opens. Need resources to guarantee your target without waiting?
FAQ
Is there a pity reset between Nanally and Hotori banners?
No, your pity does not reset. If you put in 70 pulls on Nanally's banner without success, you would be at 70 pity on your Hotori's pull. One of the most generous systems at any gacha launch in recent years.
Should you pull the weapon banner in NTE?
No. The Arc Research Program is NTE's weapon banner. It costs Tri-Keys per pull, guarantees at least an A-class Arc, and features a guaranteed S-class Arc within 8 pulls. Free S-class Arcs can also be found through exploration.
Recommendation:
Don't spend on the Arc banner until you have your limited character. Early game is free-to-play Arcs, and Tri-Keys are not for the first day.
Is the 50-pull S-class selector one-time?
It is a one-time event fired after 50 Standard Board pulls, and pulling it won't clear your counter of pulls on the Standard Board. Your pity on the Standard Board won't be reset.
