When is the new Forge Update bound to be released?
Well, the announcement came on 22nd February 2026, saying that the following stuff will be released in two weeks so considering that parameter, the update should be released this weekend but since the announcement wasn’t official, it is a possibility that the update will be delayed like usual. As of the latest news, the Jade Spirit Cave Update has been delayed but is expected to be released soon.
What is new in the Update?
In the Forge Jade Spirit Cave Update, we will be getting the following new stuff:-
Spirit Cave
This is a brand-new dungeon-style area that can be accessed by completing a 3-step quest from an NPC from Island 3 as per the leaks. You will need a stolen heart for entry and after you get inside the cave, you will be faced with demonic spiders as well as their boss, a demonic queen spider who has high health and insane attack damage potential. As tough as the dungeon may be, the loot level is quite high as well.
Ore Crafting
This is basically the mechanism where you combine two ores to get a stronger material for your gear and weapons. In this update, the leaks suggest that there will be new Ying and Yang ores which can be obtained from the Jade Spirit Cave, and combining these ores will grant you a stronger item that can be used to craft weapons and gears, stronger than the ones in the game right now.
New Race
There will be a new Kitsuna Race as well and although no leaks or fresh details have been leaked or announced by the developer, players are recommended to save their rerolls in case this race turns out to be overpowered. Since the update is getting delayed again and again, the developers will be adding codes to compensate the player so take advantage of that and get some free rerolls and other equipment.
Side Quests
With the new update, there are bound to be new main as well as side quests. More NPCs' storylines can unlock more side quests that will lead the players to hidden treasures and secrets. Mechanics in Testing
The developers of Forge announced that instead of adding new islands to the game, they are looking to add new mechanics so that there is more variety to the game. They have been working on two mechanics and they are as follows:-
1. PvP Islands
This mechanic would allow the players to fight other players in a specific location. Since this system is under development, it is unclear whether it will be like the league fight where you get points and level up throughout the league while earning rewards through rank-up. It is for the players who are too bored by slaying enemies so slaying players it is.
However, the team announced that balancing out the damage elements between the players is a lot tougher than they imagined and the weapon damage still needs to be worked on. So this will be released as a beta update and if the players show their liking to this one, they will try to improve it further and add it to the core gameplay as well.
2. Dungeon/Raid System
This is the Forge version of an infinite dungeon. The more you progress, the harder the dungeon gets. The floors or levels are randomly designed allowing players to get randomized but sometimes rare loot. Each floor will be filled with a different set of enemies. Some enemies will be the ones that players have never seen before. This dungeon is the perfect example of high risk, high reward. It's either you can leave early or you can fight, but if you die, you lose your rewards. This can also be introduced with a multiplayer version and a leaderboard can be added to showcase the floors players have reached.
Why is the Forge Update getting delayed?
Well, a new game called Abyss was also recently released by the developers and they have been spending more time enhancing the game and adding new stuff to it, making them pay less attention to The Forge. This made them lose a lot of audience, so now you will usually only see 7-8k players on a server whereas the number used to be in hundreds of thousands before. The developers are trying their best as one of them remarked saying that The Forge is a very hard game to maintain but since Abyss got an update before Forge, the community has been on edge.
