Arknights: Endfield Homecoming New Operators: Arcane and Liino
Two 6-stars headline Homecoming, and both fit into a wide range of teams. Arcane arrives in the first banner phase, and Liino follows in the second.
Arcane (Li Zhiyan): 6-Star Nature Caster
The captain of the Yinglung Special Task Force, Arcane, is the first Caster whose combat form changes based on her Intellect and Will stats. If Intellect is equal to or higher than Will, she uses the INT form. Otherwise, she uses the WILL form.
Form
Playstyle
Best used for
Array Arcana: INT
Burst and area Nature damage, extended Corrosion
Main damage in Arts teams
Array Arcana: WILL
Enemy grouping, stronger debuffs, Arts Infliction spread
Flexible enabler and support
Here is our honest take. The form switch is not a mid-fight toggle you spam. It is a build decision set by your stat allocation and gear. Decide the role first, then commit. INT wants raw damage stats. WILL leans into support numbers so her debuffs and infliction scale harder. Either way, she slots into many Arts team compositions as carry or glue.
Liino: 6-Star Electric Supporter
Liino is a rising idol known as the Morning Star of La Fantoma. She vanishes right before a big concert in Valley VI, and the story unpacks why. On the field, she is an Electric Supporter who does not rely on her own damage.
Vocalist Stance: Her low-cost combat skill boosts team attack, heals nearby allies, and pings enemies at intervals.
Cosmovoice Stance: Her ultimate. It applies Shock, deals area damage, and keeps buffing attack while raising her own healing and damage.
The clever part is her combo skill. Any Arts reaction on an enemy triggers it, so she fits many elemental teams. Her cheap skill cost and fast combo rotation mean she rarely disrupts your loops. If you like teams that survive mistakes and still push damage, she is a strong pick.
Arknights: Endfield Homecoming New Maps and Wuling Story Finale
The Wuling disaster happened ten years ago. The Very Large Rift destroyed the Wuling Science Station and forced thousands from their homes. The North has stayed sealed as a toxic exclusion zone ever since.
Homecoming changes that. Upgrades to the Xiranite Nexus finally make it possible to contain the rift. Arcane insists on leading the expedition despite having just woken up. We travel with her and the displaced people of Wuling to reclaim their land. Two new main-story maps open up:
Yinglung Pass: The mountain gateway into the sealed territory. We meet Si, a Feranmut Proxy, who helps finish the final Xiranite Nexus enhancement. Her ink-bridge paths shift constantly, so keep up or fall behind.
North Wuling Exclusion Zone: A ruined homeland choked with Blight Miasma. We suppress the rift sources and open a safe route for returning survivors.
This is the biggest single-update main-story map so far. The scale alone is a reason to log in. A new personal device equipment category also debuts here, giving you exploration tools to equip in a personal utility slot.
New Blightshade Enemies and the Alleikhreos Boss Fight
The exclusion zone introduces Blightshades, frozen data echoes preserved by Æther. Some are former Yinglung Special Task Force members who died here. Their final emotions got trapped, and now we face them again. It is a genuinely grim story beat.
The chapter ends with Alleikhreos, Chiliarch. He fights with a sword, spear, and bow, and some attacks cannot be interrupted in the usual way. To beat him, reach an imbalance node first, then use the weapons he spawns to break his charged attacks. Expect a real test of timing when he unleashes his full power.
Arknights: Endfield Homecoming AIC Factory Update: Gas Industry
Base builders will care about this most. The Automated Industrial Complex gets its biggest expansion yet, and gas is the star.
Two new resources arrive: Inergen and Xiragen. A new gas collection pump extracts them, and existing zones gain gas vents too. So you do not have to relocate your whole factory to use gas.
The key point is simplification, not complexity. A few things we tested:
Xirang used to need carbon cycled through several steps before reacting with clean water. In an energy-rich environment, you make it from just carbon and water.
Phase transmutation shifts materials between gas, fluid, and solid states. That cuts long production chains sharply.
You can now run far more Xirang lines in a single outpost, which eases the constant capacity crunch.
New gear built from gas materials also arrives. It matches the element bonuses of current top-tier equipment but opens more synergy options. A new outpost, the Xiranflow Cloudseeder Station, joins the map, along with new combat facilities for bigger enemy waves.
Insight worth flagging: the gas system rewards planning, not grinding. Fewer chain reactions mean cleaner layouts. If you dreaded the old five-step Xirang loops, this is real relief.
Arknights: Endfield Homecoming New Game Modes and Events
Homecoming is stacked with things to do outside the main story.
Echoes of War (Permanent Seasonal Mode)
This is a permanent seasonal combat mode with rotating stages. Each season runs cycles, and each cycle has three challenges across three difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Brutal. You earn stars for clearing tougher stages, and those stars set your seasonal rating and title.
Here is the important detail for free-to-play players. All Oroberyl rewards come from Normal difficulty. Clear the lowest tier once, and you secure the pull currency. Higher tiers are purely for prestige and titles, not gacha resources. No pressure to sweat, Brutal.
HEAT RAGE! MEGA ARENA! (Two-Operator Event)
A summer two-Operator squad event. Teams cap at two Operators, and special duo buffs apply, like faster combo cooldowns and quicker ultimate charge. Preset squads help if you are unsure who to bring. This mode lets odd two-character pairings finally shine.
The Rooted Realm (Limited Exploration Event)
A limited-time leisure event in the version's second half. You control one Operator and collect Aurylen fragments across timed rooms. Hidden routes, pressure plates, and combat portals with unique rules add variety. Collected fragments convert into travel points for rewards and an event medal. Three levels open at the start, with all six available a few days later.
Homecoming Talosite, Photo Mode, and Room Decorations
A new collectible called Talosite appears across every map. It does not interfere with other collectibles, and you gather it directly or with a probe. Trade it at the Talosite Exchange for equipment blueprints, decorations, photo poses, and more.
The Photo Mode upgrade is a nice quality-of-life win. You can now:
Pose Operators freely instead of leaving them standing.
Place them anywhere and change their facing direction.
Use autofocus or manual focus for precise framing.
Add new stickers for more expressive shots.
Decorations also get their own page, so they no longer eat Toolbox space. Five new pieces arrive, including a howler play area, a Liino-designed ribbon microphone, and idol standee panels. A phonograph joins the Dijiang reception room, too, letting you set exchanged vinyl records as music. Six records land in the first round.
Umbral Monument and Delver of the Cryptic Updates
Two permanent activities gain fresh challenges.
Umbral Monument adds a hard series called Peakhowlers, followed by a limited event that rewards Oroberyls.
Delver of the Cryptic adds a new space set with six maps built around clever puzzle mechanics, released in waves.
Neither reinvents the wheel, but both give returning players a reason to revisit these modes.
Arknights: Endfield Homecoming Early Access and Equipment Changes
The team clearly listened to new-player feedback here.
Early Access: Wuling lets newcomers jump to Wuling without finishing Valley 4. It does not skip your progress. You can return to Valley 4 anytime and pick up where you left off. Enemy levels scale to your exploration level, and some AIC tech unlocks early through the Automation Protocol Core. If a friend is on the fence about starting, this is a clean on-ramp. New players can also follow a reroll guide to open with a strong account.
On the gear side, the update fights "equipment stress" directly:
Finishing an Operator's combat test grants an Arsenal Defense Crate with gear tuned for that Operator, pre-maxed on precision processing.
New assembly techniques are backwards compatible. Gear that once needed Xiranite parts can now use copper, hetonite, and the new pyrrolite.
A single component line can now cover all your assembly needs.
Trade Voucher costs for assembly drop by 99 percent.
That last change is huge for mass crafting. Running out of vouchers mid-batch should stop being a problem.
Arknights: Endfield 1.4 Banners and New Weapons
Two limited banners run in order, so brush up on the gacha system first. Arcane arrives first, and Liino follows in the second phase. Each banner comes with five limited HH Permits from a login event, plus five more from the acquisition center exchange. Trial stages and story content unlock alongside each banner.
For weapons, the arsenal stocks two new 6-stars in sequence: the Arts Unit "Type 42: Solemn Phalanx" and the polearm "Bedazzling Night Debut." The new Protocol Pass season, Blight Tide, offers a choice of a 6-star weapon, including the Arts Unit "Junction Point" and the polearm "Golden Age."
Arknights: Endfield Homecoming Quality of Life and Graphics Improvements
The list of smaller fixes is long. The ones we found most useful:
Shared ziplines now auto-maintain, so no manual repair button.
Reception room info exchange drops from 24 hours to 20 hours.
You can stash wild facilities remotely from the map, no more running back and forth.
Underground pipe connection range extends to 300 meters using straight-line distance.
Wuling City placement limits increase for more builds and pipelines.
Skill visual effects can be dimmed if they clutter your view.
Target priority now respects manual lock-on over auto conditions.
On graphics, the PC version supports DLSS 4.5, PS5 Pro gets enhanced PSSR, and FSR 3 adds frame generation on Radeon hardware. Rain effects on characters also improve on PC and PS5.

Future Operators and Upcoming Arknights: Endfield Content
The livestream teased three future characters. Si becomes playable down the line. A calm Hongshan Imperial Guard joins later. A Sarkaz wanderer who collects lost stories also appears. Future versions point toward a snowy mountain region and a painting-like world with new stories.
There are real-world tie-ins, too. Perlica crosses into Fortnite in August, cafe collaborations run across several regions, and 1/7 scale figures of Gilberta, Ardelia, and Laevatain are in production.
Conclusion
Homecoming feels like a confident statement six months in. The story pays off the Wuling arc; Arcane and Liino both bring flexible kits, and the gas rework respects your time. Add early access for newcomers and a stack of anniversary freebies, and this is an easy update to recommend.
If you have drifted away, July 16 is a good day to come back. And if you are new, there may not be a better time to start. Grab the ENDFIELDRENEW code, log in for the celebration rewards, and start planning that gas factory now.
