Wuthering Waves Upcoming Characters (Version 3.5 to 3.7) - Release Dates and Full Lineup

Kuro Games just dropped one of its biggest reveals yet. The official drip marketing showed six brand new Resonators at once. All of them release across Versions 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7. This lineup pulls us back to Huanglong, with a fresh region called Mengzhou leading the new arc.

The Version 3.5 Preview Special Broadcast then confirmed full details for the first two units. So we now know plenty about 3.5, while 3.6 and 3.7 stay in leak territory. Below we break down each character, when they arrive, and what stands out. We keep a clear line between confirmed facts and leaks.

What Kuro Officially Confirmed

The drip marketing went live on June 15, 2026. Kuro posted all six characters with splash art, a tagline, and a region tag. So these six Resonators are definitely coming.

The preview broadcast then locked in the 3.5 details. Yangyang: Xuanling and Suisui now have confirmed elements, weapons, and roles. The 3.6 and 3.7 characters still rely on leaks.

One detail is genuinely huge. Yangyang gets a special edition version named Yangyang: Xuanling. She becomes the first ever SP character in Wuthering Waves.

When Does Version 3.5 Release?

Kuro confirmed the date. Version 3.5 arrives on July 10, 2026, after a short maintenance. That lands one day after the Version 3.4 Cyberpunk collab ends.

The next units follow the usual six-week cycle. So 3.6 should land in late August, and 3.7 in early October. Treat those two as estimates, not promises.

What Is Mengzhou in Wuthering Waves? New Region Explained

The 3.5 story sends us to Xuanfang Hold, a city of mechanisms in the Land of Xuanfang. This area belongs to Mengzhou, the second Huanglong region, which borders Jinzhou.

Mengzhou blends waterways, gardens, and pavilions with hidden machinery. Its Sentinel, Hsin, built the city's Autopuppets to contain Tacet Discord outbreaks. The whole Land of Xuanfang arc runs across Versions 3.5 to 3.7.

As a bonus, Rover also unlocks a new Electro form in 3.5. That is the protagonist, not one of the six, but it ships in the same update.

Full Release Schedule for All Six New Resonators

Kuro revealed the cast grouped by region and theme, not by banner order. So do not read the reveal sequence as the release order. Here is the schedule, with 3.5 confirmed and the rest expected.

SuisuiSuisui 3.5 Phase 2 Mingting Rectifier

QingxiaoQingxiao 3.7 Phase 1 Mengzhou Sword (in art)

The 3.5 row is locked by the official broadcast. The 3.6 and 3.7 split is less settled, and we explain that disagreement near the end.

Yangyang is the free starter character and the face of the game. Her story role has always been large, but her in-game strength stayed low. That finally changes here.

Kuro confirmed her as a 5-star Havoc Resonator who wields a Sword. She switches from her original Aero element to Havoc in this form. Her kit builds around the Havoc Bane status, so she plays as a heavy-attack main DPS.

In combat she swaps between two sword stances, one fast and one graceful. Her name comes from the Xuanling Bird, a lost spirit creature honored by the Rafter Kite. Her signature 5-star sword, Azure Oath, debuts in Phase 1.

One nice touch ties it together. The game icon changes to her SP form for the whole of Version 3.5. That alone shows how much weight Kuro puts on this release. If you love the mascot, this is your moment.

Suisui Release Date, Element, and Weapon(Version 3.5)

Suisui – What We Know
Suisui Suisui Rarity: 5-star Region: Mingting Weapon: Rectifier Release: 3.5, Phase 2

PlaystyleCeaseless Landscape domain, swap buffs Confirmed
TitleHost of Harmony, Commerce Guild chair Confirmed
Signature weaponFirstlight's Herald, 5-star Rectifier Confirmed
Best Echoes & statsPending beta
Best team & skill orderPending beta

Suisui is Yangyang's older sister and shares the bird and feather theme. The broadcast settled a long debate here, since some leaks wrongly called her the younger sibling. Her tagline reads, "Fan unfolds, dawn of truth draws near."

Kuro confirmed her as a 5-star Glacio Resonator who uses a Rectifier. She fights with a water fan and applies the Glacio Chafe status. Her role is a support and sub-DPS hybrid who lifts the team's damage ceiling.

Off the battlefield she chairs the Zhaoming Commerce Guild and tracks markets across Huanglong. Her kit centers on a domain called Ceaseless Landscape, which buffs teammates on swap. Her signature 5-star Rectifier, Firstlight's Herald, releases in Phase 2.

These banners land back to back, so smart spending matters early. If you prefer to top up directly, you can buy Wuwa Lunite and stock up before your favorite unit arrives.

Suoming Release Date, Element, Weapon, and Leaks (Version 3.6)

Suoming – What We Know
Suoming Suoming Rarity: 5-star Region: Mengzhou Weapon: Umbrella (in art) Release: 3.6, Phase 1

Best Echoes & statsPending beta
Best team & skill orderPending beta

Suoming carries a striking gothic look and a flaming oil-paper umbrella. Her tagline is, "Locked in the past, the prisoner lingers long." A clever touch hides keyhole shapes inside her eyes.

The broadcast did not detail her kit, so she stays in leak territory. Leaks lean toward a Rectifier support built around Echo skills. Sources split her element across Havoc, Glacio, and Fusion, so treat that as open.

Jingran Release Date, Element, Weapon, and Leaks (Version 3.6)

Jingran – What We Know
Jingran Jingran Rarity: 5-star Region: Mengzhou Weapon: Polearm (in art) Release: 3.6, Phase 2
TaglineInto illusive depths, the loner treads on Confirmed
Expected releaseVersion 3.6, Phase 2 Expected
NotableOnly male character in this batch Confirmed
ElementFusion Leaked
WeaponBroadblade, polearm shown in art Leaked
RoleTanky, self-sustaining DPS Leaked
PlaystyleHP scaling with shields and dual forms Leaked
Best Echoes & statsPending beta
Best team & skill orderPending beta

Jingran is the only male character in this batch. Male Resonators stay rare, so his reveal drew a loud reaction. He sports a hooded, tech-heavy outfit with a glowing lantern.

His art shows a polearm-style weapon, but the game uses only five weapon types. Leaks suggest a Fusion Broadblade user with HP scaling and shields. If that holds, he becomes a tanky, self-sustaining DPS rather than a glass cannon.

Qingxiao Release Date, Element, Weapon, and Leaks (Version 3.7)

Qingxiao – What We Know
Qingxiao Qingxiao Rarity: 5-star Region: Mengzhou Weapon: Sword Release: 3.7, Phase 1
TaglineCelestial sword guards the clouded pass Confirmed

WeaponSword From art
RoleMain DPS, sword immortal Leaked
PlaystyleDual stances and sword-flight Leaked
Design noteCloud and horn motifs, jade blade From art
Best Echoes & statsPending beta
Best team & skill orderPending beta

Qingxiao delivers a classic celestial sword immortal fantasy. Her tagline is, "Celestial sword guards the clouded pass." Her design leans into clouds, horns, and a jade-toned blade.

She wields a one-handed sword in her art. Leaks describe an Aero main DPS with dual stances and sword-flight movement. A few earlier leaks floated a Glacio element, so keep that loose.

Hsin Release Date, Element, Weapon, and Leaks (Version 3.7)

Hsin – What We Know
Hsin Hsin Rarity: 5-star Region: Mengzhou Weapon: Not shown Release: 3.7, Phase 2
TaglineClear moonlight drapes the lonely keep Confirmed
Expected releaseVersion 3.7, Phase 2 Expected
Story roleSentinel of Mengzhou, the Moon Fox Confirmed
NotableCreated the city's Autopuppets Confirmed
Lore tieLinked to the Moon-Chasing Festival From lore
ElementDisputed: Electro, Glacio, or other Leaked
WeaponRectifier, none shown in art Leaked
RoleSupport-leaning, not pure DPS at S0 Leaked
Best Echoes & statsPending beta
Best team & skill orderPending beta

Hsin headlines the entire lineup. The broadcast confirmed her as Mengzhou's Sentinel, the Moon Fox who created the city's Autopuppets. She even helped build Jinzhou alongside its Sentinel, Jué, so her weight in the story is real.

Her design features fox ears, long white hair, and a red and black outfit. Her tagline reads, "Clear moonlight drapes the lonely keep." Lore also ties her to the Moon-Chasing Festival.

Her kit stays a mystery, since no weapon shows in her art. Leaks most often call her an Electro Rectifier support, though some suggest Glacio. Nothing about her combat role is confirmed yet.

Which New Resonator Should You Save Astrite For?

This is four straight versions of strong, distinct characters. The pull pressure is real, and chasing every one will drain any account fast.

Here is how we would approach the run:

  • Pull Yangyang: Xuanling if you want a high-skill Havoc carry or love the mascot.
  • Grab Suisui if you want a flexible support that fits many negative-status teams.
  • Target Qingxiao if you want an accessible sword carry in 3.7.
  • Save hard for Hsin if Sentinels, lore, and long-term value matter most.

The smart play is to lock in your top picks now. Then bank Astrite through 3.5 so your wallet stays ready. Splitting pulls across all six is the fastest way to end up with nobody you wanted.

Confirmed vs Leaked: A Quick Reality Check

We like to keep these guides honest, so here is the clean split.

  • Confirmed by Kuro: all six names, taglines, and regions, plus the full kits, elements, and weapons for Yangyang: Xuanling and Suisui. The July 10 date and Hsin's Sentinel role are also official.
  • Still leaked: every element, weapon, and kit detail for Suoming, Jingran, Qingxiao, and Hsin.

One more honest note on banner order. Community leakers often place Qingxiao and Jingran in 3.6, then Hsin and Suoming in 3.7. Trusted trackers instead follow the reveal sequence, giving us Suoming and Jingran in 3.6, then Qingxiao and Hsin in 3.7. We use the second order here, but expect this to shift before launch.

The 3.6 and 3.7 kits should firm up as each beta opens. We will update this guide the moment Kuro confirms more. You can follow our other Wuthering Waves guides to stay on top of every reveal.

For now, the Mengzhou era already looks stacked. We honestly have not seen a reveal this loaded in a long time.
