Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 Preview Livestream Summary

Now that the Wuthering Waves version 3.2 live stream has concluded, we're going to tell you all of the noteworthy information that was shared with us in this article. Starting with the new Resonator Sigrika.

New Character: Sigrika

She is going to be an Aero Gauntlet character who uses Royan Runes and Solace to fight her enemies. Based on what we can see from the footage, she has pretty decent AoE, and she's most likely going to be an echo skill-based main DPS.

She is going to be the first Echo Skill main DPS who was actively designed around Qiuyuan being permanently available to her, because Phrolova was released before Qiuyuan. While Galbrena and Qiuyuan were released in the same update, Galbrena was the first half. Therefore, she had to be designed to work without Qiuyuan.

Sigrika is thus going to be the first echo skill main DPS where Qiuyuan is expected to be in her team. Sigrika is most likely going to be a good addition to the Aero DPS roster. Still, considering the insane popularity of Carthetiya, we’re assuming that most people don't really need an Aero DPS.

Ultimately, Sigrika is looking to be a pretty good character, but not one that's necessary. And that gets us to the banners.

New Banners & Reruns

Sigrika is going to be running in the first half alongside the rerun of Qiuyuan, further solidifying our idea of Sigrika being an echo skill-based DPS.

This is going to be Qiuyuan's first rerun, and he is on the more valuable side of the sub DPS roster. Obviously, he's no Lynae, but being best in slot with Phrolova and Sigrika, while also being strong with Galbrena, means he has quite a few teams he can be good in.

In the second half of version 3.2, we will be getting reruns for Lynae, Phoebe, and Zani. Lynae is obviously the best sub DPS in the entire game, working with almost every single character. Obviously, this is an incredibly stacked character, and you should be pulling for her if you don't already have her. You can fit her into almost any team.

Then the Phoebe-Zani combo is already well known for being pretty solid at baseline, but also for becoming really powerful when you learn to quickswap this team.

It is definitely undeniable that Zani is a good DPS that you should pick up if you want her. But if you do want to play Zani, definitely pick up Phoebe as well. Now, with the new resonator and banners finished, it's time to talk about the new story content coming in the next update.

Main Story Content

First off, we are going to be getting a new Main Story Quest. It's going to center around Sigrika as well as the spies within the New Solar Ceremony that the Grand Architect was talking about. Based on the version trailer, Sigrika is also going to have an arc centered around her self-confidence and her worth as a successor of the Helotic 6. So, if you like Sigrika, this is definitely a quest to look out for.

In the version trailer, we also saw two new characters who will appear in the story. One of which is a pink-haired girl whose name we do not know, and the second one is a Miko called Hiyuki.

Our theory is that the pink-haired girl is Dena, who was mentioned in Luuk's quest, but it is not officially revealed yet. During the second half of the update, we are also going to get an after-story seemingly centered around Lucille and Hiyuki. So, if you're interested in those two characters, definitely pay attention to that quest as well. Next up, it's time to talk about the events.

Events

The main event of this update is going to be a rhythm game event that is going to have us play a rhythm game with some of the in-game soundtrack, with an example being used during the livestream being With Glory, I Shall Fall. We can seemingly also select a companion that is going to give us certain buffs.

Therefore, if you like Rhythm games in general, definitely check out this event. This event will also feature a collaboration between Wuthering Waves and Muse Dash. This collaboration features beat maps from three of the series’ iconic soundtracks.

The next event to talk about is going to be called Lahai Roi Blocks. Very interesting name, we know. But the best way we can describe this event is what if Tetris didn't have time pressure.

It's basically the same mechanic where you want to fill up a row of blocks, but instead of having blocks falling and you having to quickly decide where they go, you have all the freedom in the world to just sit there and think.

Additionally, instead of being forced to use a certain type of block, you get four blocks, and you can put them in any order that you want. So ultimately, it's going to be a much less hard version of Tetris.

The next event to talk about is going to be called Knights of the Wild, which, if you remember Banners Never Fall from Septimont, is basically just going to be that, but in Lahai Roi flavor. The map will be divided into different sectors where you have to defeat different groups of enemies to level up.

The next event is going to be a permanent one, and it's called Whispers Between Stars. It's essentially going to function very similarly to the anecdotes that we have in Genshin Impact.

If you don't play that game, it's essentially just small anecdotes and little moments to bond a little more with the characters that we are pulling for, because we don't really get to see that much outside of the main story. But it's always appreciated for us to really get a new way to learn about her characters more. We hope that Kuro Games also adds more anecdotes for older characters like Chang Li or Jiyan.

We are also going to be receiving a soft rework of Doubled Pawns Matrix, which is now going under the name of Endstate Matrix. Outside of an overhaul of the UI and a new chest mimic enemy, it's not going to be very different from the current Doubled Pawns Matrix.

While we did not get a detailed look at the changes to the rewards, they did tell us that Double Pawns Matrix's refreshes are going to be a little different. Rather than resetting every single update, it's going to reset every certain number of weeks, with additional challenges being unlocked every single time there is a new update.

Subsequently, it's going to be the same just under a different coat of paint. We are also getting a new hologram, this time for Hyvatia. So, for all of the hologram enjoyers out there, have fun with that.

And then, as usual, we're going to be getting our 7-day login event again, giving us five limited polls and five standard banner polls.

We're also going to be getting one more event centering around the character of Hiyuki. It's essentially just there to give us small teases about the character of Hiyuki, which makes us think she's going to be released in version 3.3 as an anniversary character.

They also said that Hiyuki has strong ties to the Threnodian. Thus, we're assuming they want to use this event to get us a little more familiar with the character before they make her available in the gacha.

Optimizations

Now, it's time to talk about some small game optimizations. First being to the controls and the physics of the bike. It's now going to be a lot harder to actually get stuck on the bike, and it's going to be a lot easier to actually just drive past obstacles. The auto-driving feature will also have better pathfinding, so it doesn't get stuck on things as often.

Additionally, we're going to be getting some optimization to the Auto Lock and Auto Discard features. Now, it lets us edit the settings for each individual set rather than having to make specific plans for all of them.

You will also be able to automatically create plans for every single set based on the recommended stats that Kuro games themselves make for each set, which, while it is right most of the time, sometimes they can be pretty wrong about their own character building.

New Merch

Overall, 3.2 is looking like a filler patch, but at least it's not going to be a horrible one. We'll find out when the update comes out. If you are in need Wuthering Waves top up, remember that we have safe channels to do so. Also, don’t forget to prep your characters for the endgame using our services of WuWa boosting.
