Hey Proxies! Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4 is fast approaching, and it is set to bring massive shifts to the meta. This update features two brand-new S-Rank Agents ready to claim your Polychrome. Players can not wait for ZZZ Dialyn and Banyue to change to the current combat meta.
Moreover, Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 is scheduled to be released by the end of November. For now, we can say that the game will come out on November 26. Hopefully, there won’t be any delays in the game's release.
ZZZ 2.4 Banner Schedule Is Out
The Zenless Zone Zero version 2.4 update follows a two-phase banner system. Players already know that each of these phases will bring out their own new content. As a result, each phase features a new S-Rank character alongside a returning rerun Agent.
Phase 1 Banner Details
Phase 1 will obviously be the first one to be out. Players can expect this phase to be released with the release of Version 2.4 in Zenless Zone Zero.

Phase 2 Banner Details
We do not have a confirmed date for the release of Phase 2. However, we can be sure that this phase will come out as soon as phase 1 ends. So players can be ready with the Monochrome, this phase to begin a few weeks after the first one.
- New Agent: Banyue (S-Rank).
- Rerun Agent: Ellen (S-Rank).

Agent Spotlight: Dialyn (S-Rank)
ZZZ Dialyn is the new S-Rank Agent leading Phase 1. Devs are promising a powerful new Agent that most players would want. Her playstyle focuses on Physical damage and Stun mechanics. So if you prefer to get up close to enemies, then this might be the agent for you
Positive Review Mechanic
Dialyn utilizes a unique combat resource called Positive Review during combat. Her core function is to accumulate this resource during combat.
When her Positive Review gauge reaches 90, she enables a potent team buff. She also has a special ability to upgrade teammates' chain attacks. She can transform the Chain into the Ultimate..
This upgrade can be triggered in two ways:
- When she opens a Chain Attack window herself.
- When she uses her EX Special Attack: Get Lost! to force one.
Each successful Ultimate upgrade consumes the accumulated Positive Review. This makes Dialyn an extremely powerful support Agent who facilitates massive burst damage for her entire squad.
Agent Spotlight: Banyue (S-Rank)
ZZZ Banyue is the S-Rank Agent featured in Phase 2. This will probably be one of the more anticipated characters from Version 2.4 in Zenless Zone Zero. He is a Fire attribute Agent specializing in Rupture damage. People who prefer a bit more aggressive playstyle will definitely go with Banyue.
Wrathful Fire and Visage of Wrath
Banyue's kit revolves around accumulating Wrathful Fire. He generates this resource through using Adrenaline, executing defensive assists, and successful dodges. So basically, playing the character right will allow you to recharge all of his abilities. This will create a perfect loop of defense and attack.
Upon reaching max Rage, Banyue enters the powerful Visage of Wrath state. While in this state, his EX Skills are dramatically improved. They consume Rage instead of the usual Adrenaline resource. Furthermore, these skills can be spammed in a preset combo by simply holding the button.
Inspire Stacks Synergy
Hoyoverse Wiki states that Banyue encourages specific team composition for maximum damage. When he is paired with an Assist or Stun ally, his EX Skills in the Visage of Wrath state grant Inspire stacks. These stacks increase his Fire DMG up to a maximum of 24%.
New S-Rank W-Engine Analysis
Two new S-Rank W-Engines are debuting alongside the new agents. These powerful Zenless Zone Zero W-Engines will definitely improve the combat. Players excited for something new will get their wish fulfilled in this update.
Yesterday Calls (S-Rank)
This W-Engine appears on the Phase 1 ZZZ 2.4 Agent banner, synergizing perfectly with ZZZ Dialyn.
- Basic Stats: 713 Basic ATK and 24% CRIT Rate.
- Skill (R1): While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 1.5 points per second. When the equipper deals Physical DMG with an EX Special Attack, their Daze increases by 9%, stacking up to 3 floors. Increase the Daze by nine percent. Moreover, you can stack the effect upto 3 floors.
- Squad Buff: Crucially, when stacked to 3 floors, the whole squad's CRIT DMG increases by an additional 30% for 40 seconds. This makes it a powerful utility W-Engine.
Wrathful Vajra (S-Rank)
This W-Engine debuts in Phase 2, tailored for ZZZ Banyue.
- Basic Stats: 713 Basic ATK and 30% HP.
- Skill (R1): CRIT Rate increases by 20% immediately. So when you use an EX special attack, your Fire Sheer damage will increase by 12 percent. You can stack this effect twice for 20 seconds.
Which Agent to Pull from Banners?
The choice between ZZZ Dialyn and ZZZ Banyue depends entirely on your preferred playstyle and team composition.
- Dialyn excels as a crucial enabling Agent, rewarding players who focus on Stun and timing their Chain Attacks for massive team burst damage. Her W-Engine, Yesterday Calls, provides unparalleled squad CRIT DMG support.
