Investing in Velina’s Core Skill is the top priority, as it provides additional stats while boosting her Vortex and Wind Anomaly damage.

Her Special Attack, which defines her sub-DPS role, should also be upgraded to improve its damage multipliers.

Chain Attack and Basic Attack can be leveled afterward, offering some increase to overall damage but at a lower priority compared to her main skills.

Dodge and Assist skills require minimal investment and can be left largely unupgraded.

Being Velina’s tailor-made weapon, this immediately stands out as her best W-Engine, and for good reason. It grants a solid amount of Energy Regen, which directly feeds into her damage output and Anomaly Mastery uptime.

On top of that, it boosts both Vortex and Windswept damage, while also allowing her to amplify the squad’s Anomaly Proficiency, making the entire team hit harder over time.

The equipper's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60. When the equipper uses an [EX Special Attack], the [Vortex] and [Windswept] DMG they deal increase by 7% for 40s, stacking up to 2 times, and repeated triggers reset the duration.

While at 2 stacks of this effect, the whole squad's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60. This Anomaly Proficiency boost for the whole squad is unique to the squad.

Alternative Weapons for Velina

Flamemaker Shaker is the best S-Rank alternative weapon for Velina. She gets to increase her energy regen when off-field, a stat that no other weapon besides this and Joyau Dure provides. Her personal damage also increases by utilizing this weapon.

Alternatively, you could also pick up Weeping Gemini, an A-rank W-engine. Weeping Gemini, while it does not give any energy regen, she can receive up to 120 Anomaly Proficiency. At W1, she gets a whopping 192 AP.

Velina is already good and functional at C0 but players can improve her build by pulling for mindscapes.

As for Velina, her best Mindscapes are M1, M2 and M6.

M1:Orderly Elegance

Ratings: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Effect: While [Additional Ability: Tea Party Etiquette] is active, the Daze inflicted by it is increased by an additional 20%; when Velina triggers [Vortex], ignore 20% of the target's All-Attribute RES; when the whole squad deals [Windswept] DMG, ignore 20% of the target's Wind Attribute RES. Reason: Improves Velina's utility, allowing her team to stagger enemies more quickly and deal higher damage thanks to resistance shred.

M2:Saturation Protocol

This effect can trigger once every 5s at most; After triggers the effect, it can accumulate Anomaly Buildup of the corresponding attribute, and the Anomaly Buildup accumulated by this attack does not participate in Anomaly DMG calculation; The [Windswept] and [Vortex] DMG Bonus effects in [Additional Ability: Tea Party Etiquette] are additionally increased by 15%. Best Teams for Velina

Here are the best teams for Velina in Zenless Zone Zero.

Velina functions as both a sub-DPS and a support for Anomaly-focused teams, so a typical setup pairs an Anomaly DPS with Velina, alongside a dedicated support unit to round out the team.

Note: Velina does not work with Miyabi, as they are anti-synergies. Miyabi heavily relies on Disorder, while Velina cancels Disorder in place of Vortex.

Promeia Velina team

Promeia Velina Yuzuha is among the best Velina teams in Zenless Zone Zero.

Besides contributing personal damage and enhancing Anomaly buildup, Velina has several reasons why she pairs well with Promeia. The Ice DPS benefits heavily from Velina’s kit, as she can trigger Vortex and Abloom, which in turn help stack Promeia's Corrosive Chill. For this team archetype, Jane fits the bill perfectly being able to serve as the Physical Anomaly main DPS, trigger high burst damage through Assault. The final slot remains to be Yuzuha's thanks to her ATK, Anomaly damage and Anomaly build-up rate buff.

Velina F2P team

Velina’s best F2P team consists of Piper as the Anomaly DPS and Nicole as the Ether support. Piper functions similarly to Jane, consistently applying Assault damage. Nicole, on the other hand, boosts both units’ damage through DEF shred and grouping.

Velina DPS team

Players can also run Velina as the main DPS. Velina stays on-field alongside Nangong Yu as the Anomaly-based stunner and Yuzuha as a Physical support.
