FUT 21: Title Update #9 – Gameplay2021-02-17 00:00
Concerning the gameplay, there has been a number of changes to the game. The ball trajectory consistency has been reduced after performing a skill move that launch the ball in the air for obvious realism issues. The Flick up ball trajectory will also be less consistent if you use it right after a skill move or while running especially at a high speed. The Volleyed Chip Shots effectiveness has been reduced when they are taken from 35 feet/10.67 meters and beyond. This reduced effectiveness scales with the distance up to 55 feet/16.76 meters. From that point, Volleyed Chip Shots can become half as effective as those taken at 35 feet/10.67 meters.
The patch has also reduced the chances of the referee ending the match during a potential goal scoring opportunity, making injury time periods slightly longer. There has been a final change exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. The Adaptive Triggers of the DualSense will be lowered when they are enabled at the system level.
Title Update #9 also come with a variety of fixes. Players will no longer slow down unintentionally when they defend against the Bridge Skill Move while Jockeying. Unsuccessful tackles will no longer cause the tackler’s foot to pass through a portion of the ball. According to the patch notes, that change will not affect the effectiveness of tackles but make it easier for the player who performs the tackle to come into contact with the ball.
The patch has also fixed a situation when the defending team’s CPU AI did not attempt to pressure their opponent after a particular type of goalkeeper pass. This issue only occurred during offline matches. Finally, PlayStation 5 users will no longer experience the issue that caused the haptic feedback to not function if the DualSense was turned off when the game launched.
