Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has brought several new improvements to the game. While players enjoy new weapons and locations, the weapon modifying system has been updated. Weapon bunkers are a new feature to Fortnite in Chapter 5, Season 2, replacing the Underground’s weapon stashes and vaults. There are nine weapon bunkers scattered throughout the map. The majority of them are located around the following locations: Rebel’s Roost, Lavish Lair, Classy Courts, Reckless Railways, Mount Olympus, Fencing Fields, Pleasant Piazza, Grim Gate, and The Underworld. Rebel’s Roost
The Rebel’s Roost Weapons Bunker is found in the island’s northwest region. It is situated south of Rebel’s Roost and west of Lavish Lair. Search for it by the roadside, close to a gas station.
Lavish Lair
There is another Weapons Bunker at the hill’s summit, directly to the east of Lavish Lair and beyond the river.
Classy Courts
Located slightly south of Classy Courts, search for the watchtower along the railroad tracks. The Weapons Bunker can be found just to the east of this landmark.
Reckless Railways
Travel south from Reckless Railways, following the train tracks. When you reach the first bridge, ascend, and you will discover the Weapons Bunker positioned just to the east.
Mount Olympus
The Weapons Bunker near Mount Olympus is located slightly to the west, along the main road that leads up to the mountain.
Fencing Fields
Navigate towards the windmill south of Fencing Fields to discover the weapon bunker of this named location.
Grim Gate
There are two bridges leading up toward Grim Gate. The Weapons Bunker is near the western one, right along the road.
Pleasant Piazza
The Weapons Bunker, close to Pleasant Piazza, is located across the road, towards the south-southwest.
The Underworld
Approaching Grim Gate, you’ll encounter two bridges. The Weapons Bunker is near the western bridge, directly adjacent to the road.
How to Unlock Weapons Bunkers in Chapter 5 Season 2
Weapon bunkers are locked and unavailable at the beginning of a Battle Royale match. However, once the third storm circle has closed, bunker sites will be indicated on the mini-map with a white icon. Inside the Bunker, you’ll find rare chests, treasure caches, and weapon mod tables. The mod bench uses gold bars to apply scopes, magazines, and other weapons modifications.

Applying Weapon Mods in Chapter 5 Season 2
Fortnite has added a few new mods for season 2, including a thermal sight and a couple of under-barrel mods. You can also increase the efficiency of your mods by starting with a higher-tier weapon. Uncommon weapons have one mod loaded when you find them, Rare has two, Epic has three, and Legendary has four, meaning the better the rarity, the fewer gold bars you need to spend modifying it.
