Release Date
Unfortunately, we couldn’t get our hands on Agent 25 at the start of the new Act. Rather, as confirmed by Riot Games, the new agent will be revealed on the 24th of March, before the Grand Finals of the VCT Masters Madrid event. We can safely assume that Agent 25 will have the important role of stamping their team’s authority on the battlefield. In doing so, our latest agent will join an impressive lineup of Harbor, Astra, Omen, Viper, and Brimstone.

He mentioned that while controllers want to engage higher up in the fight, they are unable to do so due to their responsibilities as controllers. That’s where Agent 25 comes in, which suggests that they might have slightly more offensive capabilities compared to general controllers. While we don’t have any confirmation regarding Agent 25’s exact powers, we can say with certainty that they revolve around butterflies and smoke. An official tweet from Riot Games displays a fingertip emerging from purple smoke with a butterfly made from smoky tendrils.
Furthermore, two images have been circulating around the internet featuring a poster in Rudy’s Record Shack with the words ‘2 Worlds’. The poster is adorned with the same smoky butterflies and could be a hint towards Agent 25’s alternate career—as a musician, perhaps? The ability to manipulate smoke and sound could serve Agent 25’s role as a controller excellently. This might involve sending sonic booms towards the rival agents or perhaps casting a smokescreen to disorient them. The possibilities are endless, and it’s up to Riot Games to determine the best use of these creative abilities.

The official image shared by Riot Games involves Omen standing in front of and protecting an unarmed and defenseless Agent 25. This could refer to a deep-rooted connection to Omen, and perhaps getting forcefully dragged into a life of combat.
The posters found in the Breeze and Sunset leaks suggest that Agent 25 enjoys music and surfing; perhaps this has something to do with their childhood. Similarly, the ability to cast butterflies probably emanates from their childhood experiences as well, and we’ll see how this is incorporated into the game lore.
