WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 The Blood Moon PvP Event

WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 The Blood Moon PvP Event

Players quickly returned to Azeroth after playing World of Warcraft: Classic Season of Discovery, but with new items and runes. Phase 2 of WoW SoD will begin in February 2024. Today, Blizzard revealed additional details regarding Season of Discovery’s Phase 2, which includes a sneak peek at The Blood Moon, a brand-new PvP event in Stranglethorn Valley. This event transforms the entire area into a free-for-all PvP zone, making it basically a grander version of the original Gurubashi Arena.

Every three hours, according to a predetermined timetable, there will be a 30-minute Blood Moon event. As we witnessed in an early phase teaser, the sky will become red when it’s operating. As there won’t be any objectives, You can directly obtain cash by taking out other players.

Overall, we haven’t seen many intriguing details about the upcoming PvP event, but one thing is for sure: both factions will be fiercely battling it out to survive another day in the complete chaos and carnage of WoW Classic SoD Phase 2. There will be a tonne of bloodshed and player deaths. This guide will give you more details about the upcoming event.

What is the WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 Blood Moon Event?

In Phase 2 of Season of Discovery, they have launched a brand-new PvP event – Blood Moon. A little chaos is expected in Stranglethorn Vale as a result of this new event, and the Blood Moon will be overhead, shrouding the region in a sinister red mist.

They have designed this event to go on a more predictable schedule to let players make plans for when they can participate, building on the lessons we gained from the Ashenvale PvP event in Phase 1.

You can obtain currency during this event by killing players and exchanging that currency for various rewards. Although you can still form groups with your allies during the event, raid groups will face penalties from the Blood Moon, which is a severe setback.

You can choose not to participate in the event by having a conversation with the Zandalari Emissary. If you choose to opt-out, the standard realm PvP guidelines will still be in effect, and you will not be eligible for any rewards from the event.

WoW Classic SoD Blood Moon Event Rewards

You can exchange the cash you earn from the WoW Classic SoD Stranglethorn Vale PvP for rewards by visiting the shopkeeper outside the Gurubashi Arena. Said merchant will give you a variety of class-specific item prizes. A one-handed warrior mace and a mage ring that boosts fire damage by sixteen are two examples provided.

This event’s item awards are all class-specific. Additionally, it looks like these things contain a Unique tag preventing you from equipping more than one of these items simultaneously.

By taking part in the event, players will also be able to obtain two new faction-neutral mounts. There are also new looks for these level 40 horses. You can decide if you prefer the raptor or the cat because they are also faction-agnostic. While both mounts are based on previous models, their appearance is entirely new to World of Warcraft.

You can also complete new tasks to gain a reputation in the Arathi Basin. There won’t be a world buff linked with this event.

What’s in the Zone and New PvP Updates?

Throughout the event, the Chosen of the Blood Loa will also roam the area and destroy anything in their way. In the Phase Two Preview video, these patrols were likened to the Fel Reaver in Hellfire Peninsula.

Naturally, you can form a group to improve your odds of surviving against other players and the Loa. However, all party members will be penalised if they decide to group together. There will be further changes made to matchmaking soon.

Developers want to be cautious about having an adverse effect on queuing. Even though they recognise that it might be annoying for lone players to match against preset groups. They are making two adjustments to fix this. You will match against groups of five or fewer players more frequently if you are one of those players.

Similarly, you will be more likely to match with groups of six or more if you are in a group of six or more. This will facilitate the matching of additional premade groups with premade groups or not premade groups with the same. If developers start to see certain queues impacted, the system will eventually disregard these criteria to accommodate the possibility of lengthier delays with this revised matching system. To minimise the time you have to wait to start playing, this will pair you with the first-person accessible.

Say Bye to GKPD Runs

A new policy that forbids WoW Classic SoD GDKP runs is being tested by developers. They acknowledge the advantages for individuals who view this as an easy method to obtain gear. Still, they also acknowledge that the old guild and social structures integral to the Season of Discovery’s ethos are in danger of being undermined. They want to experiment with things without this kind of transaction happening in this game mode because Season of Discovery is an experimental series. This activity will be restricted starting on February 8th.

Conclusion
