Bigo Live is going from strength to strength. Each year, BigoLive runs at least one celebration event where the best live streamers on the platform are given their time to shine. This year, the event happened at the Ritz-Carlton in Bali, and it ended up being the most successful event that Bigo Live has ever run.
‘Live in Sunset Paradise’
Live in Sunset Paradise was the name given to this year’s event. The event was streamed live on Bigo Live, and over 200 streamers, family members, and more attended the event.
The event was held at the Ritz-Carlton in Bali, Indonesia on 27th January 2024.
The intention of the event was to celebrate all of the major Bigo Live streamers from Southeast Asia. As a result, the event included streamers from Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Those who were lucky enough to attend were able to see the following perform live (we have used their Bigo ID):

Plus, there were a whole host of other performers throughout the star-studded evening.
The Event
As mentioned – the event was intended to show off the popularity of the platform in Southeast Asia. Although, this didn’t stop people from all over the world tuning in to see what was happening. While Bigo Live has not released stats on the number of people watching the stream, we do know that the platform currently has over 400 million people in 150 countries, and if even a few of them tuned in to see proceedings, then it would have been a very popular event indeed.
Throughout the event, multiple musicians, artists, and gamers either put on a performance or collected awards for their service to the platform. Perhaps the biggest award of the night went to Bigo ID: 940880998, who comes from Indonesia. She picked up the illustrious ‘Hall of Fame’ award, which is only given to one person each year, and signifies that the person is popular enough on the platform to enter the Bigo Live ‘Hall of Fame’.
In addition to the musical performances happening on stage, a variety of games happened throughout the evening. While some of the people watching online could win some prizes, the bulk of what was on offer was reserved for attendees. Throughout the night iPhones, Rolex Watches, and Alphard vehicles were given away to the lucky award winners.
Capping off the night was a performance from GAC, one of the leading bands at the moment. It meant everybody left the ‘Live In Sunset Paradise’ event with a smile on their face!
The Next Event
At the time of writing, Bigo Live is in the midst of its second event in the span of a week. They’re running a Hall of Fame event where the inductees will receive further celebration. Throughout this event (on 1st February 2024), more prizes will be given away, including a Rolex Watch to a lucky streamer.
If you have missed either the gala event or the Hall of Fame event, then you can watch a recap either through the Bigo Live app or on YouTube. However, there are currently only highlights being shown on YouTube.
Future Events for Bigo Live
At the time of writing, there does not seem to be any new Bigo Live events in the calendar, at least events that have been officially announced. However, we reckon that there will be a few around the corner for the company.
Each year, at the very least, Bigo Live runs a star-studded event like ‘Live in Sunset Paradise’, and they’ll likely run one next year, albeit with a different theme.
Throughout the rest of 2024, you may see a few smaller events being pushed by Bigo Live. This is part of the company’s push into new countries outside Southeast Asia where, despite having some members, the company has yet to gain much traction.
If a new Bigo Live event is announced, then you’ll be given plenty of notice on the Bigo Live website and through the app. If you are unable to attend, then you’ll be able to watch everything through the app, just like with ‘Live in Sunset Paradise’, so you’re never going to miss out on what is sure to be a top event.
