Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 – Lunar Dragon is officially here and there are a lot of new additions, themed items & aesthetics to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Not only are the maps and UI themed with the snazzy new Lunar Dragon look, but there’s a bunch of new modes, weapons, and even a new class to try out.

That said, here’s what you need to know about the latest Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 – Lunar Dragon.
Nuk3town Skin & New Multiplayer Gamemode
One of the biggest changes to the multiplayer mode is that Nuk3town is getting a reskin to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. With updated futuristic buildings and a dragon made of flames adoring the night sky, Nuk3town has never looked better.
In addition, there’s also a new Multiplayer game mode, Boost Assault Mode.
In the new game mode, players will have access to a jetpack to sprint across walls, jump and glide through the sky, and slide farther for a fast-paced movement that’ll be familiar to fans of Call of Duty games like Advanced Warfare.
Battle Royale Updates
The Battle Royale mode on Call of Duty Mobile is getting a big update with a new class, a ‘floating platform’, and some minigames to play before launching into the field for a fight to the death.
The New Battle Royale Class
Battle Royal in CODM now has the Jet Boost class which is unlockable as a free reward from the Season 2 Battle Pass. As the name suggests, this class focuses on maneuverability and allows players to jump higher and slide around faster than other classes.
This is a great class for players who prioritize high-speed movements and jumping around to confuse enemy combatants.
The New Floating Platform
The new Floating Platform is the starting point for Battle Royale matches for all players. No weapons are allowed here so it’s a safe space before the real match begins. You can also dive to the Floating Platform after the match begins to find loot crates and equipment onboard.
On the Floating Platform, you’ll find firecrackers to burst and celebrate the Lunar New Year and destroy gift boxes on flying UAVs that contain loot. You can find weapons, attachments, backpacks, armor, and other consumable items.
You’ll also have a chance to find a ‘food gift box’ which can be used to play one of the two minigames on the Floating Platform.
Two New Minigames
There are two new minigames aboard the Floating Platform –
- Cooking Fire: At the center of the Floating Platform you’ll find a huge hot pot. Interact with the hot pot to start the Cooking Fire minigame but you’ll need a food gift box which you can get from one of the UAVs around the platform. You’ll need to cook the food evenly to earn points and get rewards.
- Cooperative Hot Pot: There are 4 tables on the Floating Platform that you can interact with to start the minigame. You and your teammates can join one table and it will begin an Overcooked-style game where you need to prepare the food as specified by the menu shown. Complete dishes within the time limit to earn more points and rewards.
Seasonal Challenges & Events Rewards
There are a bunch of new Seasonal Challenges and Events dishing out some great free rewards. Some of these rewards for completing these new challenges include –
- Operator Skins
- Batlle Pass XP
- Weapon Blueprints
- A New Spear Secondary Weapon
- & More!
You can check your progress by visiting the Events tab as well as what Challenges are still available to complete. New Weapons in Store
There are a few new weapons and stuff to unlock from the in-game store and Lucky Draws in Call of Duty Mobile.
- Mythic Type 19: The Type 19 is the new weapon added to the game, a reliable and high-rate-of-fire assault rifle made to devastate your enemies. You can earn a Mythic Weapon Blueprint for the Type 19 with a Chinese ink painting that evolves and changes throughout a match.
- Long Yun & Striking Azure Spear: Long Yun is a new operator skin of an assassin/bodyguard with a futuristic ninja type of design. You can also cop his accompanying Striking Azure spear to strike foes down at close range!
- Kryptis – Cruel Gaze: Kyrptis is a futuristic merc donning a high-tech tactical suit and enigmatic faceplate. Alongside the new operator skin, you can also grab the DL Q33 Dark Void sniper with a futuristic, otherworldly design in line with Kryptis’s outfit.
