Call of Duty MW3 New Soulrender Weapon & Season 2 Reloaded Breakdown

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has released Season 2: Reloaded and it’s chock filled with brand new content to get into in the regular Multiplayer mode, Zombies, and Warzone.

And with the new season comes new maps, modes, and most importantly, new weapons to master, and this time around the brand new melee weapon is insanely useful unlike some of their previous iterations (ahem, dual kodachis).

So today, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the new Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded including the new weapons, game modes, and in-store items.

And if you’re looking for a brand new Call of Duty account for sale to get some fire skins, unlocked weapons and camos, or higher ranks, check out U7BUY to find the best deals around!

That said, let’s jump straight into the breakdown!

The New Weapons

In Season 2: Reloaded, there are two new weapons for players to earn and try out. One melee weapon and a new battle rifle.

Soulrender

The most exciting addition to MW3 Season 2: Reloaded is the brand new melee weapon, the Soulrender. As the name suggests, Soulrender is a deadly “soul” ripping melee weapon that’s sure to rank as one of the top weapons in the category.

Soulrender has two attacks to master; aiming with the Soulrender starts swift slashing attacks while holding down the ‘Fire’ button unleashes a heavy swing with the sword.

In most cases, the heavy attack will be a one-hit kill and in the right circumstances will perform a unique decapitating mini-execution animation. Running around the map with the Soulrender in hand makes for swift & stylish gameplay.

And that’s not all! The Soulrender has been out for a while and players have discovered that it can totally negate riot shield users. Even while the riot shield is out, the Soulrender can bypass the shield and decapitate the sweaty shield user.

While it initially sounds like a bug, this was intentional as devs have confirmed that the Soulrender is meant to work as a counter to riot shields. There are a few downsides to the new sword where it doesn’t deal as much damage as other melee weapons like the Karambit and it’s not as mobile so you can’t move around as fast.

But what you get in return; a guaranteed execution and riot shield destroyer is still sweet enough to make the Soulrender viable.

To unlock the Soulrender, you can complete challenges in the mid-season sector of the Season 2: Reloaded Battle Pass.

SOA Subverter

While the Soulrender has taken the spotlight this season, there’s also a brand new battle rifle, the SOA Subverter added to the game’s arsenal. The SOA Subverter is a new 7.62mm battle rifle that has a range of up to 25 meters.

Additionally, it also has the highest fire rate in the battle rifle class of weapons, making it extremely viable if you enjoy quick shooters with punchy damage. The SOA Subverter does have a noticeable upwards recoil but it’s easy to manage, making it an accurate shot if you know how to handle it.

It’s not as exciting as the Soulrender, but it still has plenty of value in the right hands. To unlock the new SOA Subverter battle rifle, you can earn it as a reward by completing the Weekly Challenge.

New Das Haus (6v6) Map

With the new season comes a brand new map in COD MW3 for the multiplayer mode, Das Haus. If you’ve played Call of Duty: Vanguard the map will feel familiar to you since it initially debuted there.

But this time around, the Das Haus map has got a ‘remaster’ and now brings the compact and close-quarters 6v6 map on top of a skyscraper close to the ‘Highrise’ map. Fun fact, you can actually see ‘Highrise’ from one of the spawn points on the Das Haus map!

The name of the game here is quick, speedy combat that doesn’t let up thanks to the map’s confined and tight layout. Expect to die and kill extremely often, but it’s perfect for grinding through Soulrender’s challenges to unlock the weapon and skins!

Two New Game Modes – Bounty & Juggermosh

Season 2: Reloaded adds two new game modes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 called ‘Bounty’ and ‘Juggermosh’.

Bounty is a TDM-style mode that has players eliminating players without any set limits to lives or time. Reach the target score and your team will win the match. But there’s an added twist, as each team’s highest scorer will have a high-value target (or Bounty) on their back.

They’ll carry around a flag and the entire lobby will be able to find the Bounty on the map. Killing the designated Bounty will reward extra points to the round’s target score so it’s best to keep a lookout for em’!

Juggermosh is a brand-new game mode made in collaboration with the Warhammer 40,000 series. Juggermosh is available in both Kill Confirmed and Domination matches and will have players decked out in beefy Power Armor inspired by Warhammer.

In terms of mechanics, the Power Armor follows the same principles and capabilities as the Juggernaut Recon Killstreak. The game mode is played entirely in a third-person perspective, adding a fantastic new dynamic to the game.

Imagine if Warhammer was an FPS, and that’s basically what Juggermosh is. Players in Juggermosh are battling to obtain the ‘Chainsword’, a one-hit kill melee weapon that utterly devastates your foes.

Overall, an exciting and fun change of pace, especially for fans of Warhammer 40,000!
