Forza Horizon 5 Rewards with Old is Gold

Forza Horizon 5 has plenty of methods for racers to earn rewards, but one of the best ways to advance your experience while earning more Forza Horizon 5 credits is by following the treasure hunt guides.

What are the rewards of Forza Horizon 5 treasure hunts?

Treasure hunts are an excellent way to solve riddles on the map and locate hidden treasure. They are often faster than grinding out experience by racing or repeating the same efficient race for you to keep earning XP and gold. The Old is Gold path is the main treasure hunt we will be covering here because it can give you a hearty boost to your rewards, and it is a fairly streamlined way to boost your gold and XP.

Treasure hunt rewards for Old is Gold:

Following this treasure hunt will give you 100 Forzathon points, and you will also get a three-point boat toward your season series progress, which is essential for buying new cars and mods for your current vehicles.

To Complete the treasure hunt, you will need the following:

  • A retro supercar like the Mclaren F1GT or Bugatti EB110
  • The map pin for the Teotihuacan drag strip.

How to start the treasure hunt:

The clue you get for this treasure hunt is “Solidify the retro reputation by speedily earning gold.” What the game wants you to do with that is go to a location with a drag strip and earn three stars in a speed trap challenge with one of the retro supercars mentioned earlier. You likely won’t need much tuning for your supercar as the Bugatti can achieve two stars without much fuss in its stock condition.

The best location to start the treasure hunt is the drag strip near the large pyramid. The map marker will have it classified as the northern tip of the Teotihuacan drag strip.

Completing the challenge:

After doing a bit of tuning with your retro supercar and taking some runs at the dragstrip, if you achieve three stars in the challenge, the chest will unlock at the northern tip of the dragstrip. It can be found at the pyramid’s base and opened for a solid reward of 100 points. Regarding progress, 100 points can buy you quite a bit with festival rewards like the Jaguar XKR-S, which only costs around 40 points to unlock.

Forzathon points are a big way to unlock more rewards in the game, and they can be tough to get from standard events. Arcade events generally pay 60 points for clearing three stages, but this can take far more time than the treasure hunts.

How can I boost my Horizon points quickly?

If the season is coming to a close and you want to get some rewards quickly, treasure hunts are a fast way to bank 100 Horizon points with each chest you open. If you’ve completed the treasure chest challenges, here are some of the other best sources for Forza Horizon points:

  • The playlist challenge: From the main race menu, you will find a series of daily challenges that award a fast 20 points, and the playlist challenge, which is a bit lengthier, can award 120 points.
  • Arcade challenges: Many players suggest they are the fastest way to get Forza Horizon points because they are fast to complete. Each arcade challenge is worth 60 points.
  • Manufacturer bonuses: As you continue to race with the same model vehicles and complete events with the same manufacturers, you can level up your cars, unlock points, and get awarded Forza points for completing new levels. Racing with the same manufacturers to increase levels and get rewards can be advantageous. Changing your driving style and getting some fast levels with the manufacturers you haven’t driven can also help, as it is easier to unlock the lower manufacturer levels when you start driving their cars.

How can I earn credits more quickly?

Credits are also an essential factor in unlocking rewards in Forza Horizon 5. If you complete treasure hunts like the Old is Gold hunt, you will need credits to install heavy upgrades and pass the challenge. If you need to earn credits fast, there are some efficient methods for earning credits faster. Here are some of the fastest ways to earn credits in the game:

  • Auctions: Auctioning the cards you don’t use or buying and selling cars in the auction house is a strategy that works for many players. It can be time-consuming to list your cars or bid on multiple vehicles in the hope you can sell them back for a profit. Still, if you are consistent and undercut the competition, it’s one of the fastest ways to generate credits in Forza Horizon 5.
  • Skill points: Racking up skill points in the car Mastery tab by driving with skill (doing things like near misses, high speed, getting air, and drifting) can help you get instant credits. If your car remains on the road and you keep up with skillful driving, you will keep earning rewards in car mastery. Rather than choosing Forza points, you can opt for credits and earn quick cash by drifting or driving like a pro.

Now that you know more about how to earn FP and credits in Forza Horizon 5, you can take on this treasure hunt challenge and have the ability to generate enough points and credits to take on new races and challenges without having to spend too much time grinding.
