How to Boost Cooking in OSRS

While cooking in OSRS is pretty easy to level up, there are times when you might want to look into cooking boosts OSRS, perhaps to squeeze out a recipe that is a few levels out of reach, or because you want to level up a character fast. If you’re looking for a cooking boost OSRS, then you’re on the right page. We’ll walk you through the types of cooking boosts available, plus give you an overview of the things that you should be cooking to quickly level up your cooking.

Cooking Boosts

There are two different things you want to be on the lookout for if you’re looking to boost your cooking in OSRS:

Cooking Cape

If you’re looking to boost cooking OSRS, then the cooking cape is the best bit of gear in the game. Although, you’ll need to hit level 99 in cooking to get it.

The cooking cape ensures that nothing you cook will ever burn. This can be fantastic for those who are cooking to make some gold on the Grand Exchange.

Once you’ve hit level 99, go and talk to the Head Chef at the Cooks’ Guild. He’ll sell you the cooking cape for 99,000 coins. You can also pick up the cooking hood at the same time, but it doesn’t provide any stat boosts. It just looks good.

Chef’s Delight

Chef’s Delight requires level 54 cooking. However, it is also tradeable, if you’ve not quite managed to hit that level yet.

Using Chef’s Delight will boost (temporarily) your cooking level by up to 5 skill points:

  • Levels 1-19 will be boosted by 1
  • 20-39 will be boosted by 2
  • 40-59 will be boosted by 3
  • 60-79 will be boosted by 4
  • 80 to 99 will be boosted by 5.

You’ll need to be a member to make this, and you’ll need to brew it at one of the breweries in the game. It takes 16-36 hours to brew. You’ll need the following:

  • 2 x Bucket of Water
  • 2 x Barley Malt
  • 4 x Chocolate Dust
  • 1 x Ale Yeast
  • 8 x Beer Glass

You’ll then get 8 x Chef’s Delight.

If you want, you can make a ton of these and sell them for a small amount of profit (about 500 gold per craft).

How to Level Cooking in the Quickest Way

Want to level up cooking quickly? Well, it is a slow and laborious process (hence why many people buy OSRS account with fully leveled cooking), but it is possible…even as a free member.

To be honest, leveling cooking is fairly self-explanatory, and you should be able to navigate the process with ease. However, we recommend cooking the following at each level. You can look for the recipes in-game or online:

  1. Level 1-20: Cook Shrimp
  2. Level 20-30: Cook Trout
  3. Level 30-45: Cook Lobsters
  4. Level 45-55: Cook Swordfish
  5. Above Level 55: Make Anchovy Pizza

This is the method we recommend since you’ll be leveling your fishing at the same time. All these recipes require very little in the way of ingredients too, so if you don’t fancy leveling your fishing, you can check the OSRS gold price and buy the ingredients from the Grand Exchange or other players.

Remember – very little of what you make while you boost cooking OSRS is going to give you an income. You may be able to claw some of the gold back if you sell the crafted recipes on the Grand Exchange, but we doubt it. So many people are crafting these recipes to level up their cooking that there is seemingly no profit in it. Still, you may as well get back some of that gold, right? You’re going to need it if you aren’t buying gold from us here at U7Buy.com!

Want a Fully-Leveled Cooking OSRS Account?

As we said – we know that leveling up cooking in OSRS is lengthy. It isn’t particularly complicated, but it is lengthy and it isn’t the most exciting experience in the world. This is why you might want to buy an OSRS account with fully leveled cooking from us. The price is affordable, and you’ll be saving yourself a ton of time.

Not in the mood to buy a full account? Well, you’ll be pleased to know that we also have some of the more affordable prices for OSRS gold online, so you can always top up your account with some gold to buy whatever you need in the game. We also have more game currencies available, if you want.
