How to Quickly Level in Fortnite Chapter 5 – Season 1

As with all Fortnite battle pass releases, when the launch happens, it is a mad rush to make sure that everything is unlocked before the end of the season. Thankfully, Epic Games gives people more than enough time to unlock everything the battle pass has to offer. However, we’re sure you still want to unlock all that awesome battle pass stuff as quickly as you can. There are other games to play, after all.

So, whether you have one of the OG Fortnite accounts, or you’re a brand-new player, we’ve put together this guide to quickly getting XP for your Fortnite battle pass. This guide is specifically written for Fortnite Chapter 5 – Season 1. However, we see no reason why it can’t be used for every season of the game. Not much changes on the XP front.

Check Out the New Game Modes

Fortnite Chapter 5 is where it all changes for Fortnite, with the introduction of brand new game modes like Rocket Racing, Lego Fortnite, and Festival. Each of these will introduce its own challenges to complete, and they are one of the best ways to quickly level up your Fortnite battle pass. This is because Epic is trying to funnel people into playing those game modes.

Since we’re likely to see new game modes like this introduced on a regular basis, we can expect completing new game modes to be par for the course going forward. We have managed to quickly gain a few levels like this.

Complete Your Daily and Weekly Challenges

As with all Fortnite battle passes, the bulk of your XP will come from daily and weekly challenges. The dailies reset each day (hence the name), and they’ll probably take under an hour to complete (there is a cap on the number you can finish). So, just play through them. You’ll gain a few levels this way. Remember – your XP will also be boosted for a short while at the start of each day. This is a catch-up mechanic that Fortnite has in place.

Complete Matches in Parties

If you’ve got a few friends who play Fortnite, then team up with them. If you complete matches in a party, you’ll be able to complete challenges far quicker (as progress will be shared), and you’ll even gain some bonus XP for your trouble.

Complete Your Fortnite Milestones

Fortnite Milestones are long-term goals for your Fortnite account. They carry over from season to season so, unfortunately, you won’t be able to complete the same challenges each season for a nice bit of XP. However, if you’re new to the game (and we’re talking less than thousands of hours in it), you may have a decent number of Fortnite Milestones to complete.

These aren’t really things that you should be aiming for, since Fortnite Milestones are very grind-heavy e.g. cut down a certain number of trees, killing animals, etc. But, if you’re close to completing a milestone, then go for it. The extra XP is huge, and will give you a massive boost to your Fortnite Battle Pass!

Purchase Extra Levels

Seriously. If you don’t want to wait around and grab the best cosmetics quickly, then you may as well buy some extra levels. You may already have some extra V Bucks stashed away from all the leveling you’ve been doing from your battle pass. If you don’t, don’t fret. You can always pick up a Fortnite gift card from us. The price is affordable, and you can buy levels and save yourself a bit of time. This may be the best option when you are getting close to the end of the battle pass and really don’t have enough time to level up the battle pass (there’ll eventually be a point where there just isn’t enough time left in the season).

Complete the Story Quests

Each season of Fortnite will throw some story quests into the mix, as well as a few missions that are unique to the current iteration of the map. You can find these under your ‘challenges’. Complete them. You’ll gain a lot of XP, and you may even unlock a few cosmetics along the way.

Play the Game

Finally – just play the game. Seriously. Each game you complete will earn you a small chunk of XP, and you’ll be knocking off some of the challenges and milestones along the way. The higher you finish, the more XP you get.

This is where most of your XP will come from. If you can complete all your daily challenges per day, and add in a few games of Fortnite, then we reckon you’ll be blitzing through that battle pass in no time at all!
