With the Pokemon Go Tour: Sinnoh 2024 going off with a bang, a new Pokemon Go feature has been introduced to players all around the world. This is known as “Adventure Effects.” You may be wondering, what is so special about this feature that has been introduced to everyone playing Pokemon Go? To put it simply, “Adventure Effects” are temporary bonuses that can be activated by Pokemon Attacks, which are used outside of battle. Once it has been activated, it will impact your Pokemon Go gameplay in special and unique ways.
To activate and make the best use of this “Adventure Effect,” you must have caught a Pokemon that knows this type of attack, and only two Pokemons know this maneuver, namely Origin Form Dialga and Origin Form Palkia, the ones that we will be discussing in this article. This is the perfect to log in to your Pokemon Go account and go out there to hunt some Pokemon and make your way to the top.
Before diving further, we will investigate how “Adventure Effects” work and how the Origin Formes of these Pokemons are caught. Let us now begin.
What are “Adventure Effects,” and how do they work?
As explained before, “Adventure Effects” are Pokemon attacks that alter and revamp your Pokemon Go gameplay experience whenever they are used. Only Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia have these effects, and they cannot be taught to other Pokemon by any method whatsoever.
We will now discuss the step-by-step details on how to activate an “Adventure Effect” in your Pokemon Go app. Firstly, you will open the Main Menu and tap on the Pokemon storage, after which you will tap on the Pokemon and view their details.
Scroll down to the Adventure Effects section, which is located below the Fast and Charged Attacks, and press the Use button located next to the “Adventure Effect.” The main feature of activating an “Adventure Effect” will require Stardust and that specific Pokemon’s Candy (namely Dialga and Palkia); decide on how much Stardust and Candy you want to use with the help of the + and – buttons and Tap on the “Use” button to confirm the duration, after which Tap on the “Yes” button to activate the “Adventure Effect.”
It is worth noting, however, that only one Adventure Effect can be used at the same time, but Adventure Effects can stack with other limited-time Pokemon bonuses such as the Mega Evolution and the Primal Reversion.
Once the effect is active, you will see a brief animation and a timer appearing on the Map View along the right side of your screen. The interaction radius circle may also feature a special effect, indicating that the Adventure Effect is active. You can also extend the duration of your “Adventure Effect” by spending more Stardust and Candy for a maximum of two hours each time you tap the Use button. The maximum extent can be extended to 24 hours in total!
Roar of Time Adventure Effect bonus and cost
The first of the two Adventure Effects that we will be using is the Roar of Time, which can be used only if you have Origin Forme Dialga in your Pokemon list and this Adventure Effect has the power to pause the timers for Incense, Lucky Eggs, Star Piece and the Daily Adventure Incense.
One use of the Roar of Time Adventure Effect for six minutes costs 5000 Stardust and five Dialga Candy, and if you want to use this feature for a maximum of two hours, then 100,000 Stardust and 100 Dialga Candy would be required to run it. The cost for the 24-hour effect is 1200000 Stardust and 1200 Dialga Candy, so you may want to think this over.
During battles, the Roar of Time can be used to increase Power to 150 during Trainer Battles and to 160 during Gyms and Raids.
Spacial Rend Adventure Effect bonus and cost
We will now discuss the second Adventure Effect, which is Spacial Rend, a prominent feature of Origin Forme Palkia where the distance of encountering wild Pokemon is increased and adds a cool effect to the Map.
Using this Adventure Effect costs 5000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy, and its duration can be increased to 10-minute increments until a maximum of two hours for the cost of 60,000 Stardust and 60 Palkia Candy. If you want to go for the 24-hour Spacial Rend duration, you will need to have 720,000 Stardust and 720 Palkia Candy, which is significantly less than the cost of the 24-hour Roar of Time Adventure Effect, but a proper stratagem and thought process is required to use it.
