Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 Update

Nothing creates quite the buzz in the Valorant community like the release of a new act. With Episode 8 Act 2 right around the corner, here’s everything you need to know, ranging from the release date to the battle pass and more.

Release Date

While the exact start time of the new Act will vary from region to region, players can expect to access it sometime on Tuesday, March 5. You might want to wrap up your games before the server maintenance kicks in!

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass is the standout feature of every new act, and that’s no different this time around. For 1000 Valorant points, you can start unlocking some pretty dope stuff across the 50 or so tiers of the battle pass, provided you earn enough experience.

Skinlines

Before you go online looking for Valorant accounts with skins on sale, you’ll want to check out the new battle pass. According to leaks, three new skinlines are about to enter the fray. These include the Aquatica, with an oceanic vibe; the Retrowave, featuring a bold color scheme; and the Shellspire, with a sharp aesthetic.

Shellspire Sword

The highlight, of course, is the mysterious Shellspire Sword. Unlocked on the final tier, this melee weapon will have you pulling out some freaky ninja moves as you attempt to slice your way through other agents. Likewise, you’ll want to keep your distance if you spot someone approaching you with this pointy purple blade!

Player Cards

Since we are on the subject of customization, you’ll want to explore the 13 new player cards being introduced with the new battle pass. These feature backgrounds ranging from a comfy spa to the depths of the ocean, so pick whatever complements your taste the best.

Paintjob

There is nothing like a good paint job to leave your mark on the territory, right? That’s precisely why Riot Games has added 15 new sprays to the new Act. For me personally, I’ll be spamming the no-guns allowed spray every time I down another agent.

Primordium Skin Bundle

Want to summon the flames of hell to raze your opponents? The upcoming Primordium Skin Bundle should take care of all your fiery desires. With weapon skins for a Melee, Vandal, Spectre, Phantom, and Shorty, you can really add the Doom aesthetic to your agent.

The standout addition to the bundle has to be the finisher, though. You can literally open a portal to hell—or at least that’s what it looks like—to condemn enemy agents to a flaming end. Other inclusions in the bundle are as follows:

  • A themed player card
  • Gun buddy and a spray
  • Green, blue, and gold color variants for weapon skins are unlocked using Radianite points.

The Primordium Bundle may be pretty cool, but you’re going to have to break the bank for it because it costs 8700 Valorant Points. You might want to start looking for cheap Valorant points online!

Fortune’s Hand Bundle

Much like the Primordium Bundle, we are also expecting the slightly less impressive Fortune’s Hand Bundle. It draws inspiration from gold and Norse mythology, featuring skins for the Odin, Phantom, Ghost, Guardian, and Melee. Riot Games should probably have waited a bit before teasing this bundle because compared to the flaming heat emitted by the Primordium, Fortune’s Hand leaves a bit to be desired.

Fortune’s Hand will be priced a bit lower than the Primordium, and understandably so. While we don’t have an official price yet, the community believes it will cost around 5000 Valorant Points.

Agent 25

Riot Games doesn’t always release new agents with every act, but it seems we may be getting one this time around. We’ll have to wait a bit for it, though, as its release date does not coincide with that of the new Act. Rather, Riot has announced in an official statement that the so-called Agent 25 will come out towards the end of March.

From what we know so far, character producer John Goscicki has revealed Agent 25 to be a controller, also suggesting that their inclusion will lead to some ‘beautiful moments’. So for people who like that kind of playstyle, Agent 25 should be the perfect pick.

We can also confirm that the new agent’s abilities will revolve around butterflies. An image featuring an energy-infused butterfly resting on a finger is circulating on the internet, and leaks suggest we can expect to access the agent after the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid Grand Final.

That said if you’ve still got to unlock any of the already existing agents in the roster, you might need to look into Valorant boost.

Conclusion

Each new act of Valorant brings excitement and revives the already ever-present community. With episode 8 slowly starting to heat up, you’ll want to get yourself back in the game, starting off by purchasing the new battle pass and working your way upwards. What are you waiting for for Agent 25? Get moving.
