Arena of Valor Meta Heroes of April 2024

In every patch and season update in Arena of Valor, there are always both major and minor changes that the players will notice. This can range from big fixes, to map modifications and hero adjustments. With that, these changes either nerf or buff the heroes as they receive these changes.

The nerfing and buffing of heroes can result in new meta heroes or those characters that are most preferably used in terms of their kits and abilities. That being said, we made this brief guide to show you the current meta heroes in Arena of Valor in this patch.

However, do not be too sad if you still don’t have heroes mentioned. You can still buy them with vouchers after you try this AOV top up.

Without further ado, let’s start!

Ryoma

The first to join the list is Ryoma who is a Warrior/Assassin. With an incredible set of abilities, his combos are surely lethal and deadly for all squishy heroes.

Ryoma has an impressive base physical damage of 165 and a critical damage of 200. With just these stats, he can easily draw a first blood. So if Ryoma faced a hero that is not too tanky in the early game, slaying the enemy is easy, especially without any items and builds.

What’s more interesting about Ryoma is his ultimate skill with a very short cooldown. His ultimate skill, Naginatajutsu, allows him to have a longer range which also slows down the enemy’s movement speed upon hit.

Once Ryoma’s abilities are all available, perform a combo to your enemy by using Naginatajutsu first, and then Pinwheel, followed by Wailing Blade to stun the enemy, and ed with Spectral Ire.

Riktor

Riktor is another Warrior/Assassin that will make enemies retreating and calling for backups.

Compared to Ryoma, this hero has a lower base HP. However, he has a better physical and magic defense. With these armors partnered with 170 base damage and 200% critical damage,  Riktor is also another hero who is difficult to counter during the early games.

As a former demon hunter, Riktor benefits from his passive, Battle Instinct which allows him to get various buffs by staying on different map locations for at least 1.5 seconds. The effects are as follows:

  • Hiding in the bush replenishes 2% of his HP every one second
  • The road gives an armor and magic defense of 12%
  • The river gives him a movement boost of 20%

With just his passive skills, securing a kill is a lot easier already.

Zip

Talk about the small but terrible—Zip is the one.

Zip is a Support/Tank hero in Arena of Valor which is why he has a high base HP of 3088. During the early game, this is best paired with the team’s carry or the hero with the least armor and base HP.

With his passive ability Zip Bloat, he gains a bonus of 30% damage resistance and an additional 120 magic damage to nearby enemies while he is bloated. Aside from his tanky characteristics, his first ability is also extremely useful during clashes as it can stun enemies for half a second while also dealing magic damage.

Aside from that, his ultimate skill Zip Roll! makes him untargeted while he can knock up enemies with a decent magic damage as well.

TeeMee

Not one, but two. TeeMee is a double trouble for the enemies as they have to face the twins, Tee and Mee.

TeeMee is a Support/Tank hero who has a good crowd-control ability with the Chain Lance that can stun the hit enemy for a second.

Another reason why the TeeMee brothers are good support heroes is because of the ultimate ability of Angelic Splendor. This skill allows the hero and the nearest ally with the lowest HP to gain armor. The thing is when TeeMee or the armored ally dies, they will respawn near the spot after two seconds. Upon reviving, the nearest enemy can receive magic damage.

Dirak

A good news for mage users because Dirak made it to the list of meta heroes as he rules the magic realm.

Upon learning about Dirak, you might think that he is immortal because of his impressive passive ability. His passive ability allows him to not die even though his HP bar is already empty. Instead, he uses his mana to survive. For every 1.5 damage dealt, 1 mana is taken from him.

Not only that but his active abilities are also not mediocre. His first two active skills are useful for knocking back enemies while also dealing a great amount of magic damage.

Dirak’s ultimate skill allows him to create a force field that serves as a shield to all incoming projectiles. It is important to know that this can be toggled to use. It costs 5% of the mana for every second of use. When it is activated, Dirak also gains a movement speed buff.

This is probably one of the strongest mages today so make sure to obtain this hero in the Arena of Valor shop.

Violet

Precision, accuracy, and fatality are the best words to associate with Violet as the best gun user in Arena of Valor. With Violet’s long-range basic attacks, she can surely one-shot enemies who are trying to escape her.

Violet’s passive ability makes her first skill even more useable since using her basic attack reduces the cooldown of her first ability by half a second. The first ability which is Tactical Fire allows her to dash forward and increase the damage of her next basic attack which also damages all units in a straight line.

If you think this is already a strong ability, wait until you hear about her ultimate ability which is Concussive Rounds. This ability looks quite similar to her first kill but has higher damage and a wider range.
