Three-Star Weapons Worth Keeping
Yes – some three-star weapons are actually worth keeping and are still relevant today, even at patch 4.4 and upwards.
Harbinger of Dawn
At L90 R5, this weapon gives you 401 Base ATK, 47% Crit Damage, and if you’re above 90% HP – A whole 28% CRIT Rate. While the base ATK is kind of low, if you can fulfill the condition of being above 90% HP, this weapon gives insane stats.
Black Tassel
Now, this weapon’s special effect can be considered nonexistent, but the fact that it is one of the rare Polearm weapons that has HP as its main stat is still useful. It’s great for characters like Zhongli if you don’t have anything better.
White Tassel
The White Tassel is good for characters like Cyno, and Rosaria, and can even be used on characters like Xiao and Hu Tao if you don’t have anything better. It gives you 48% Normal Attack damage at R5 and a lot of CRIT rate. While the base ATK doesn’t go over 401, it’s still a decent choice.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
When you swap to a different character from the one wielding this Catalyst, that character gets 48% ATK increase. While this weapon requires you to pay attention to your rotation a bit, giving your next character a 50% ATK boost for 10 seconds is nothing to scoff at.
Four Star Weapon Series
Next up we’ve got the Sacrificial, Favonius, and Fontaine Craftable Weapon Series.
All of the weapons from these series come with special effects that make them really strong at all levels of play. It would be best if you could have at least one of each type of weapon from these series at rank 5 (Sword, Polearm, Claymore, Bow, Catalyst), but for that, you might need to buy a Genshin Impact Account that already has them…
Favonius weapons
Favonius weapons are generally good for most support characters that require some energy recharge and even for your sub-dps/off-field DPS units. Characters like Faruzan, Dendro Traveler, Gorou, and Fischl make great use of Favonius weapons and are generally their best 4-star or free-to-play options.
Sacrificial Weapons
Sacrificial weapons have a chance to reset the cooldown of your Elemental Skill, and this can only occur once every 16 seconds at R5. This makes characters that are “batteries” such as Sucrose be able to provide their elemental particles to another party member that’s supposed to be the carry, such as Xiao with Sucrose, and the Sacrificial Sword is an amazing weapon for Xingqiu, who himself is a top-tier unit as well.
Fontaine Weapons
The weapons from this newly added weapon series, aside from the craftable Spear, are all generally great for your DPS characters as your go-to craftable option. These are exceptionally good because they don’t require that much RNG to get, and the only random thing about them is the fact that you need to get the blueprint first – other than that, you’re good to go.
Must-Have 4* Weapon
And now we finally come to this one – Easily THE best 4* Weapon in the game, and it also suits one of THE best characters in the game – Xiangling. What weapon are we talking about? The Catch, of course.
The Catch is just something else. At R5, it gives your character 32% Elemental Burst damage and 12% Elemental Burst Crit rate, while also providing a 46% Energy Recharge rate as well as having decent Base ATK.
The best part? It’s entirely free and doesn’t require any gacha mechanics to get. You get it from Fishing!
