HSR Gallagher Kit and Playstyle
Honkai Star Rail Gallagher isn’t centered around directly healing allies. While yes, his skill does target allies – his main draw is his ultimate, which deals Fire-based damage to all enemies and inflicts them with a debuff – Besotted. This works well with Acheron who gains a stack of Slashed Dream that she needs to cast her ultimate.
Now, what does Besotted do? Besotted is a debuff that has enemies take 12% more break damage, which may not seem like a lot – but combined with some relics and other stats can add up and you’ll be breaking enemies’ toughness bars like they didn’t even exist in the first place.
Besotted is also how he heals allies. He thrives in multi-enemy battles. Each time an ally attacks an enemy inflicted with the Besotted state, they heal for a certain amount based on HSR Gallagher Talent level and his outgoing healing bonus. This also means that if a character, say Acheron, attacks 3 enemies who are inflicted with this debuff, she will heal three times the amount. In most cases, this will be enough to heal any character to full HP.

Basic Attack – Corgake Fee: Deals 110% ATK to a single enemy
Enhanced Basic Attack After Ultimate – Nectar Blitz: Deals 225% ATK to a single enemy and lowers their attack by 14%. Scales off of Basic Attack level, not ultimate.
Skill – Special Brew: Heals a single ally for 1600 HP
Ultimate – Champagne Etiquette: Deals 150% ATK to all enemies and inflicts them with Besotted.
Talent – Besotted State increases the amount of Break DMG targets receive by 12% and allies that hit enemies inflicted by Besotted heal for 600 HP.

Honkai Star Rail Gallagher Eidolons
Now, Honkai Star Rail Gallagher is really good on his own – but his Eidolons make him quite the formidable beast. If you can get this bad boy to E6, then you can slap him in any team and he’ll be a monstrosity that heals as much as he deals.
His E2 and E4 are especially strong. E2 gets his Skill a cleanse, and E4 Extends the duration of the Besotted debuff, his core mechanic, by 1 turn – making it last 3 turns. This usually allows you to keep the Besotted debuff up at all times.
Surprisingly enough, his E1 and E6 are slightly weaker than the aforementioned two, but they still make him quite a bit better. Namely, E1 Regens 20 Energy at the start of combat and gives HSR Gallagher a 50% Effect Res, making him resist most debuffs while his E6 just gives a raw 20% increase to his Break Effect and Weakness Break Efficiency Stats.

Honkai Star Rail Gallagher Relics and Lightcone
HSR Gallagher needs quite a bit of Break Effect because, as we know – his Break Effect stat also increases his outgoing healing, making it a 2-for-1 kind of deal. As such, we’ll focus on some Outgoing Healing, but mainly on Break Effect for Substat, along with some HP% and ER%. Now, depending on which Eidolon you have him at, these stat requirements may change – so keep that in mind.
His Best Relic Set: Thief of Shooting Meteor (4 Set)
This Relic set increases the Break Effect by 16% at 2pc and another 16% at 4pc while also providing Energy Regen when the user inflicts a weakness break on an enemy.
His main stats: Healing%, SPD, HP%, ER%.
Substats: SPD, Break Effect.
To get the most out of his Trace, you need 150% Break Effect and no more.
Honkai Star Rail Gallaghers Best Lightcone
As is tradition, his best Lightcone is his own 4-star Lightcone called What is Real? It gives a 24% Break Effect at SI0 and 48% at SI5, which is a massive amount. It also heals the user for a % + base amount of HP each time they use a basic attack, making HSR Gallagher practically immortal.
Honkai Star Rail Gallagher Best Teams
To be frank, Honkai Star Rail Gallagher is such a beast that you can put him in any team and he’ll shine. However, there’s a reason he came out alongside Acheron.
- Gallagher, Guinafen, Pela, Acheron – This team focuses on a lot of Debuffs for Acheron to thrive.
- Gallagher, Dr. Ratio, Topaz, Ruan Mei – This team similarly focuses on Debuffs for Dr. Ratio to expose and use his follow-up attacks with a high percentage rate.
- Gallagher, Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Xue Yi – again, HSR Gallagher simply enhances the Break Effect for the whole team to abuse.
