Before you top up Brawl Stars, this is the guide you want to read. We’ll run you through the main Brawl Stars characters in Brawl Stars and how to play them. So, whether you want to play tank, healer, assassin, or something else, this guide will set you on the right path.
Tanks
Tanks take a lot of damage and deal very little damage. However, they are essential to the rest of the team. A tank played correctly will take the ‘aggro’ from the opposing team, allowing the damage dealers to take them out one by one. The tanks never run from a battle, and they’ll always be leading the charge.
Tanks are some of the easiest Brawl Stars brawlers to play in the game since you don’t really have to do anything other than put out an ability every so often.
Healers
If you prefer to sit back and heal your team, then healers are the way to go. They are a bit more difficult to master than tanks, but not too bad. The only downside is that they can’t put out a lot of damage, and they have low health. If you’re playing a healer class (there aren’t many of them), you’ll want to stay behind your tanks, or the other team will be picking you off very quickly.
Assassin
If power is your thing, then the Assassin role is the route to go down. Although, they have low health. If you learn how to play an assassin properly, then you’ll be taking down the enemy incredibly quickly. However, we cannot stress enough just how difficult it can be to play an assassin, even the newer players tend to struggle. However, the more you play the assassin role, the easier everything will become.
These roles tend to work well on maps that have a lot of cover since you need to steer clear of the enemy, pick them off, and then hide again. It takes a lot of effort.
Support
Support classes are very similar to the healer class insofar as the fact that you won’t ever be at the heart of the battle. You’ll be sitting back and supporting your team. They take a bit more effort to play, but they have some good supers that you can play about with. If you buy Brawl Stars accounts, then look for those with a high number of support characters leveled, as they are great for every situation. Playing a support character well can mean the difference between a win and a loss in these games.
Support classes are all about crowd control. One of the things that we really love about playing support is that if you do stay back, they are a forgiving class. You can make mistakes, and it shouldn’t have too much of an impact on your team, assuming the other side isn’t playing their support class well.
Utility Brawlers
These are special Brawl Stars brawlers that are very situational. The following are utility brawlers:
- Dynamike
- Barley
- Sprout
- Gene
These don’t put out a whole lot of damage, and their health is low. The reason why they are in the team is because they can accomplish certain tasks easier than other brawlers. Obviously, you’ll want to pull them out only when the task that needs to be completed is suitable for the map or battle mode.
The reason why we don’t want to go into the utility brawlers too much is that you need to learn how to use them yourself. They are very, very difficult to play. You’ll also feel incredibly useless if you’re not using them in the right environment. You should steer clear of these brawlers if you are new to the game.
DPS
DPS classes don’t put out as much damage as the assassin class, but they have a lot more health. This makes it very, very easy to put out damage. You don’t need to run away every second too.
It can be difficult to master a DPS class since you need to learn how to use the powers at the right time. However, we think that even beginners should be able to put out a decent bit of damage with a DPS class. They just need to make sure they hold back a bit.
If you’re going to play DPS in Brawl Stars, then make sure that you rarely ever push. As with most of the lower-health characters, you’ll want to have your tank on the front line. You’re just there to pick off anybody that manages to break through.
