How to Get Free Gems in Brawl Stars

how to get free brawl stars gems

Gems can really help you progress quickly through Brawl Stars, as you’ll be able to buy a ton of stuff from the Brawl Stars store. Now, the quickest way to get gems in Brawl Stars is to buy them. However, did you know that there are ways to buy them in-game? That’s what we’ll take a look at here. We’ll share some of the top free methods about how to get free gems in Brawl Stars.

Unfortunately, there are now far fewer methods to get free gems in Brawl Stars than ever before. In fact, the developers have removed many of the methods that people used in the past, which means that there is no way to effectively farm them, outside of the scant daily quests that may appear and complete the Brawl Pass. However, we’ll share the methods that we do know, because while you’ll only get a few Brawl Stars gems when you play, every gem will add up!

Brawl Pass – Monthly

Each month, Brawl Stars releases a Brawl Pass. This pass contains a wealth of cosmetics and other rewards. Now, most players will pick up the paid version of the pass, since you get a ton more rewards with that.

You can play the free pass (if you don’t want to spend some money) and get around 50 free Brawl Stars gems each month (sometimes it is as high as 90). Playing the game and completing the daily quests should be enough to help you level that pass-up quickly, and you’ll get a few free cosmetics and brawlers along the way.

Daily Quests and Events

Unfortunately, this is something that has become much rarer in Brawl Stars. However, a few years ago, there were daily quests that would offer 3-4 Brawl Stars gems at a time. It may not seem like a lot, but if you’re managing to get a few of these daily quests in a row, then the figure would very quickly start to add up.

It is very rare that you’ll get the gems as a standard daily quest nowadays, since the team behind Brawl Stars decided that it wasn’t really making them a whole lot of money. However, every so often, an event will appear where you can start to get some cool daily quests that can award gems. It is worth completing these daily quests when they appear. It won’t take much effort to complete the quest, normally no more than a couple of games, but you’ll stack up those Brawl Stars gems exceedingly quickly.

Brawl Boxes

Ok. We know that this is ‘spend money to make money’, but every so often, you’ll see Brawl Boxes appear in the store (again, these have become rarer in Brawl Stars). These Brawl Boxes need to be purchased with Brawl Stars gems (which you may have some of if you’ve managed to buy Brawl Stars account). You can then find a few cool cosmetics in the Brawl Boxes and, if you’re lucky, some gems as well. We know that they are not really free gems, but it works.

Power League

The Power League is where the best of the best Brawl Stars players play, and you’ll probably want to be here eventually. It is where the best rewards are. It won’t be easy, though. Until you have 4,500 trophies in the game, the Power League mode will be locked off for you. Although, you may be able to buy a Brawl Stars account that already has this many trophies, so you can jump on in. This can speed everything up.

The Power League in Brawl Stars is a 3v3 league, where you’ll be facing off against some of the best Brawl Stars players in the world, so you best be good at the game. If you win, you can climb up the league. The higher you finish in the league, the more chance there is of gaining some cool rewards, such as Brawl Stars gems.

This is where you’ll be spending most of your time in Brawl Stars once you have a feel for the game (and have won a lot), so you’ll really just be grinding out the wins in the hope of gaining gems. However, unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee your rewards here other than winning, and this means that you’ll need to have a good team with you, which isn’t always going to be the case!

Club Wars

We wish more people would play Club Wars in Brawl Stars, since there are so many gems that can be earned. Plus, we love this competitive mode.

Club Wars will have you joining a club (a little like a guild), and then you’ll compete competitively with them against other clubs. If you win, and keep winning, there is a good chance your club can earn gems. It’ll be a small number of gems, but it is still something.

The only downside is that you can’t really get into a gem-earning club unless you’re good at the game. But, once you’re good enough, you may be able to get a try-out with some awesome clubs. Some are really raking in the Brawl Stars gems!

Brawl Star Gem Packs

Yes. This does mean that you’ll need to spend some money, but since the game is sorely lacking in any real methods to earn some free gems, spending some cash may be worth it. During major promotional periods, Brawl Stars will offer discounts on their Gem Packs. This may involve giving you some free gems with your purchase, or just reducing the price. In either case, you’ll be getting Brawl Stars gems cheaper than normal, and that is all that counts, right?
