FFXIV The Path Infernal Guide

The collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and XVI has been the talk of the town ever since its announcement. Now, we finally have our hands on it. Let’s take a look at how you can overpower Ifrit and collect some pretty cool rewards, including Torgal’s Whistle Mount and Pup Minion.

A Land of Fire Quest Walkthrough

There are 3 quests as part of the event, but before you can start any of them, you need to be at least level 50 and have completed the Ultimate Weapon quest. If, for some reason, you don’t meet these requirements yet, you can head on over to the FFXIV Shop and buy levels and story skips. It’s not the most honorable way, but hey, it works!

Once you have these in the bag, you’re ready to make your way to the Steps of Nahl in Ul’dah (X:8.8, Y:9.8) and start the first quest: A Land of Fire.

Once you’re there, the Neophyte Adventurer will ask you where a burning land may be, to which you must give the Burning Wall as your answer. You guessed it; that’s precisely where you’ll be going next! You’ll once again meet your fellow adventurer at X:28.3, Y:24.5. Talk to him, and then use your spyglass to zoom in and select a strange unconscious figure nearby. This will trigger a cutscene, after which you can talk to Clive to conclude this first quest.

Pain to Recall Quest Walkthrough

In this next quest, you’ll have to help Clive remember what he has forgotten. After interacting with Clive, you must accompany him to Gridania and visit four different locations to refresh his memory. These are as follows: Carline Canopy, Chocobokeep, Aetheryte Plaza, and The Adders Nest.

Once that is done, you can interact with the Serpent Scout at X:8.2 and Y:10.5 who will then guide you to the Lotus Stand. Finally, speak to Clive to mark the completion of the quest.

The Path Infernal Quest Walkthrough

At long last, we have reached the third and final quest. In order to get started, interact with Clive first at X:8.3, Y:10.5, and then at Apkallu Falls (X:10.6, Y:6.0). It’s now time to face Ifrit, so get your game face on!

The good news is that we get access to three dope abilities. The first of these are the Rising Flames, which allow you to deal significant damage to the enemy. Then we have the Dodge, which grants you the ability to evade otherwise unavoidable attacks. Get the Dodge just right, and you’ll be able to launch the Precision Strike as an instant counterattack.

Keep in mind, though, that some attacks can’t be mitigated by Dodge, so pay attention to the timer that appears next to the Dodgeable attacks!

Once the dust has settled, make your way back to the Burning Wall after making a pit stop at Camp Drybone. Here you should first follow Torgol, then interact with Clive, send him back to his own world, and finally talk to the Wandering Minstrel at (X:30.6, Y:27.0) to mark the end of the quest.

What Awards Will You Get From The Path Infernal?
