STO – Rise of Discovery06/04/2019
STO players have the chance to explore the next season in the Age of Discovery chapter. This is for the first time when the game and the TV show are running at the same time. The next story-driven update is called Rise of Discovery. The characters will be voiced by the same actors who played in the TV show. Jason Isasc who played Captain Lorca and Rekha Sharma who played Commander Ellen Landry will be the actors who lend their voices to in-game characters. The story is centered on Gabriel Lorca and Ellen Landry. Players will discover how these characters got on Discovery. This is an important moment for both of them. The story explored in the game is not featured in the TV show or somewhere else. If you are a Star Trek lore enthusiast, you have no excuse for not playing Rise of Discovery. The game offers you the chance to get involved in the story. The update has two missions. These are The Plausibility of the Possible and Impossibility of Reason. Some of the events take place on the U.S.S Buran. The two main characters are part of this ship's crew.
Rise of Discovery comes with some other updates. Tier 6 ships now scale with the player's level. These are currently the best available ships. Players no longer need to wait to command them. They can use them starting with level one. New ships have been added as well. Players can obtain the Risian Corvette, Na'Qjej Intel Battlecruiser, and Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer with cheapest STO Credits. All these ships are tier 6. Players will use the Discovery Legends reputation to get more gear. The space set Stamets-Tilly Field Modifications, the space weapons set Lorca's Ambition, the ground set Burnham's Resolve, and the ground kit modules, Gravity Containment Unit and Mudd's Time Device, can be obtained by players. Rise of Discovery is a free update so players don't need premium membership to enjoy it. This is only part three of the Age of Discovery. We are confident that more parts will be released this year.
