Coronavirus forces postpone or suspend tournaments of FUT 20

time 03/16/2020

During the last weeks the coronavirus has been, unfortunately, the protagonist of numerous news. From studios like Bungie or Nintendo that put their employees to work from home to the possible cancellation of E3, through the possible delay of movies like Fast & Furious 9; the coronavirus is wreaking havoc on all sectors. And now EA is the last one affected, since the outbreak of this disease has forced to postpone and suspend some planned competitions of FUT 20.

As announced from the EA official website, both the planned FUT 20 competitions have undergone major changes to the calendar due to the damage caused by the coronavirus.

For its part, FUT 20 has had a greater impact on its schedule and both FUT Champions Stage V and PlayStation Licensed Qualifying Event have been canceled and will not be held. CONMEBOL eLibertadores Online and the accompanying live event will also not take place as scheduled; however, they will be carried out on a date to be determined later. Fortunately, the qualification for the eChampions League does not undergo any type of change and will be held on the 14th and 15th of this March.

The calendar is therefore as follows:
1. Canceled or postponed events
Major | Arlington | March 13-15 | Postponed
EA SPORTS FUT 20 Global Series
CONMEBOL eLibertadores Online & Live Event | Postponed
FUT Champions Cup Stage V | Bucharest | April 3 - 5 | Cancelled
PlayStation Licensed Qualifying Event | May 2 - 3 | Cancelled

2. Events without change
EA SPORTS FUT 20 Global Series eChampions League Online Qualifiers | March 14-15

What do you think? It´s sad that the world is facing this problem, but united, we will face and win against this situation, just as a match in FUT 20. Stay Strong! We all are a family and we are going to stand together!
